Trophies you're stuck on

I have 3 main ones that are just really frustrating for me, 3 seperate games as well

The first one is a trophy on Stubbs the Zombie called "it's a real groaner!" and just like in the video below you have to 100% the dance battle, I really suck at anything to do with rhythm, what makes it even worse is that it's always random

the next one I'm stuck on is a trophy called "Stuntmasta" in Dirt 5, I've been close to getting the score but it was complete luck tbh because it was just the one time, on so many other tries I've been way off

and the last one is a trophy called "Up to the challenge" in God of War 3 remastered, I have 2 challenges left and it's the bare hands one in particular that is easily the most annoying and frustrating to complete out of the 2 remaining (haven't really tried the other one many times, but it's doable)

These are stopping me from getting 4 decent plats, Dirt 5 I can autopop after :) and gladly will after the annoyance of that trophy

so what are you stuck on?

Disgaea 5 - Dimensional Devastation: https://psnprofiles.com/trophy/3846-disgaea-5-alliance-of-vengeance/19-dimensional-devastation

I’m struggling to figure out what I need to grind out to get this one done.

Little Deviants - Devilish Deviant: https://psnprofiles.com/trophy/1298-little-deviants/2-devilish-deviant

I’ve got about 6 games left to get Gold on, but they’re all games that require a bit of movement with the Vita and I’m generally not in the mood when I get time to sit down and play on my Vita.

Downwell:

I haven't played it in a while but beating the boss has proved to be more challenging that it should be. Maybe I don't have the patience that I had in the past or maybe it's tougher on Vita. I made it to the last part of the battle but all my attempts had failed. I'm not yet in the mood to give it another try these days.

Spelunky 2:

Almost all remaining trophies. Maybe because it has way more ways to screw a run than it predecessor, or maybe because it's on PS4 and not on Vita. I played Spelunky on my Vita hundreds of hours. I will focus on it after I'm done with other games.

Ducktales Remastered:

I'm not in the mood to exclusively focus on it until 100% is achieved.

2 massive grind fests:

1) Yakuza Like a Dragon:  Grinding job classes to 99 for the True Final Millenium Tower.

2) Injustice: Gods Among Us:  720 stars in the STAR Lab missions.

Usually after getting a plat, I'll take a day or two off gaming.  After either of these, I think I'm gonna need a week  lol

If there is a will there is a way. Don’t give up and strategize on your approach. Firm believer if given enough time, passion, and honing of skill all trophies can be popped if done legitimately and it's feasible in doing so. :)

this is true, Crash 1 and the time trials for me is massive proof of this logic, well until my saved data got corrupted the other week

I got so many of them done with practice and never giving up, after years of telling myself not even to attempt them

APB Reloaded: A dead multiplayer game and I was never able to find a proper boosting partner, I'm considering self boosting when I get a Ps5

Paladins: Another multiplayer game that requires seven other players to boost, not worth it

Warframe: I'm missing just few Trophies, I might return to them but I don't really want to play that game

Street Fighter X Tekken: I only miss one Trophy for the Platinum, the one for completing all missions: it's been a couple of years since I tried for the last time and I might try again some day, but for now I have other PS3 games to play

Portal Knights: I have purchased the DLC and I got two DLC Trophies, but so far I have never bothered with all the others because I always had other games to play

There are a number of trophies from my PS3 catalogue that i basically gave up on, and since I have now retired my PS3, I don't suppose that I'll ever earn any of them.  Here are a few of them...

Street Fighter X Tekken - :silver: Mission Specialist - I just couldn't clear missions 19 or 20.  In #19, Ogre was quite easy to beat if you cheesed him with Zangief, but Akuma was having none of that - he would chew me up, spit me out and obliterate whatever was left.  He has unlimited Super moves and could actually regain his health, making him almost impossible to beat. And in #20, you had to defeat the entire roster of characters on a single health bar.  Again, Zangief could get you through a bunch of fights, but some characters just don't fall for his cheese tactics.

Batman: Arkham Asylum/City - :bronze::bronze::silver: Freeflow Bronze/Silver/Gold - I was never adept enough at the combos in this game to rack up enough points to get me through these trophies.  I would always - ALWAYS - get hit whenever I did start to build up a reasonable score.

Super Street Fighter IV - :gold: Trial Athlete - enough said. :P

TMNT: Out of the Shadows - :silver: Uncle! - for 'tapping out' 25 enemies with Raphael.  I tapped out far more than 25 enemies, but this trophy just refused to pop.  Eventually just gave up on it..... and the game....

For me it has to be "Weapon Master - Acquired 100 different types of weapons using Craft command" in Warriors Orochi 4. It got so bad I got a PC and quit playing on PlayStation for a year.

To be fair it wasn't that trophy alone. I was also playing on a PS4 Pro that was deafening loud! I had to always play with a headset on and even then I could still hear the sound of an F-16 engine inside my skull. This year I got myself a PS5 and got back into trophy hunting, although more casually than before.

A very easy way to keep your combo up is by abusing the evade skill. If you double tap the X button toward an enemy, Batman vaults over them. It's an easy way to avoid damage, and as long as you keep vaulting over enemies your multiplier won't drop, even if you vault multiple times in a row. Worried about losing your combo for whatever reason? Just start vaulting. You can also pause the game in mid vault if you want to take time to think about what your next action should be. Batman should have enough I-frames as he's landing for you to take any action that you want afterward. Its way more reliable than countering because sometimes a successful counter seems inconsistent when surrounded by enemies.

I dont see this secret talked about often enough, and it works in every Arkham game so once you figure it out in one game it works in all the others. Only game it's less reliable on is Arkham Origins, but that's more to do with the fact that they changed (for the worse imo) the timing of the combat entirely. In that game you can trivialize the combat with the shock gloves.

For me it is an rather unknown little point and click adventure called Shadowgate.

I am missing a trophy for „solving 62 individual puzzles“. Problem is, nobody knows what counts as a puzzle in this game. Also certain puzzles can be solved with different commands, but some might not count for the trophy.

In the last years I installed the game multiple times and spend a lot of hours playing it again and again, hoping to pop the trophy.

It is really frustrating. No guide or forum thread could help me.

I just wasted a full day of my vacation playing it again, trying different things, but no trophy.

well, I might try it again in a few years…

Oh, I was aware of that technique, and I did indeed use it whenever I started getting into trouble, but I would always end up getting shot by the goons who would grab rifles from the wall racks or whatever.  Couldn't always see them doing that because I was fighting 6 other guys, or the guy going for the gun would be off screen and I wouldn't clock on to what he was doing until he started shooting.

Eventually, I just got frustrated and decided to take a break from Asylum.... and then from City..... and ended up just not returning to them.  Oh well.

One day, I'll get around to playing Arkham Knight, and we'll see how that goes.  I'm led to believe that the combat challenges in that game are quite a bit easier.

I wouldn’t say that. The AR challenges in the base game are easy with all the DLC.

The Community challenges in contrast are difficult. Especially the one for beating Monarch Theater with FOUR different characters (Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman) while keeping a PERFECT FREEFLOW COMBO throughout the entire run.

If you slip up even once and lose your combo, you have to start all over.

And because you couldn’t do the combat challenges in either Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, don’t even attempt the Community Challenges in Arkham Knight.

Well, with as many DLC trophies as Knight has, I wouldn't be entertaining the notion of going for 100% anyway.  I'd more than likely just play through the campaign, get through the Predator maps since I was generally pretty good at those, get whichever other trophies I felt were within my ability to earn, and probably leave it at that.  I wouldn't want to have my enjoyment of the game tarnished by struggling for hours to get through some needlessly difficult challenges that would probably just end up spoiling my enjoyment of the game.

That's why I didn't bother doing Brutal mode on Uncharted 1-3.  I love those games, and wouldn't want to spoil the fond memories I have of them by struggling with a ridiculously implemented, bullshit difficulty mode that would just suck all the fun out of the games.
