Server down?

I'm unable to join a ranked or player match, I receive error (8002A705). The game was working fine a few days ago.

No. The servers are very much alive. 

I did, however, run into the same issue myself today. 

So, what I did was... I unplugged my internet router, then I plugged it back in. After that, I waited for the internet light to show me it was successfully connected back to the way it was before I unplugged the router. Eventually, I turned my PS3 on, and I re-set up my internet connection the same way I normally would, using the "easy" method. Then I ran an internet connection test, of course. And I waited for everything to resolve and connect again. Then, finally, I went back to the same way it was, and the error message you described above no longer showed up for me when I made another attempt in the game. The reason why I know the servers work is because I have two active PS3s at home using the same internet connection. And I saw success. I've only been playing "player match" at the moment. But yeah, my connection works fine and connects to the server.

Servers are unstable , but they work. I unlock all trophies today without any problem.
