Popular Post RomanPeirs
Hey guys, little update from me: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst = 10% Resident Evil 0 = 4% -> 100% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime = 7% Arcana Heart 3 = 31% Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 = 31% -> 92% Got the Resident Evil 0 plat! Not as hard as I thought, though I must say I didn't enjoy the game as much as I enjoyed the remake of the first one. Who in their right mind puts an enemy that instakills you just before the last boss fight of the game? Lost my first no save run to that damn frog. Plus picking up items is a real pain in the ass, you'd think you just stand in front of one and press X but no, you have to be like pixel perfect. Some of the Street Fighter IV trials were easier than picking up items from tables in this game. Also, the hunters and eliminators (the monkeys) can go to hell. Almost done with Raging Blast 2 as well, just gotta grind out the online titles. Should be about 4-5 hours for all of them. This game is still pretty cool, glad I played it again, though some of the battles that start you out with a magic pixel of health can be infuriating, until you find the proper items for them. Overall, I think I'll be able to get this done. I have the week of now and I should be able to finish Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime before the next week. Also, my overall completion is going up! That's always nice! Good luck to all of you.

Took quite a few playthroughs and I'm pretty happy to be done. Good story, though I'm realizing that decision-based games aren't really my thing as it stresses me out. I'm gonna swap out Reus for Seasons after fall. As much as I want to work on finishing Reus, it is a long plat to acquire, and so I don't want to spend the rest of my time this summer working on it. Not sure I'll finish it but I've also been working on Stranger of Paradise so I'm adding that in. Edited June 27, 2022 by KazaneHime
Popular Post MidnightDragon
Finally an actual update! Was I foolish to go ahead and get it? Maybe, but there are worse things. Decided to start with Sonic CD since that's the only one I've never played before. Fully finished the game and did the 10 missions I needed. I also decided to use my final swap on Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising and, again, trying to figure out the replacement.
Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, A short update from me. I’ve been playing Danganronpa over the weekend and I’ve completed the second trial. It’s quite enjoyable but this game will take me a while to complete. Because I only have my Vita at the moment I decided to swap Elden Ring for Salt and Sanctuary. I’ve started the game but haven’t made much progress yet. I will be working on these two games in the next 2 weeks. As much as I want the platinum, I just don't see myself going for it. At least anytime soon. Might take a looooooong break. 70% is a good cut off point; I'm done all the "easy" stuff. So I am going to use my last swap and change it out for MX vs ATV Legends. I have always wanted to play one of these games ever since my PS2 days and I just never got around to it. So I promised myself that I would buy whatever new iteration ends up on the new generation of consoles (if there were to be any) and so here we are. Going to start it right away due to the online trophies. Also made some progress in Uncharted Lost Legacy but I'm stuck again in Chapter 6. Some of the encounters are a big pain. Trying to go stealthy but somehow someone a mile away sees me kill a guy in tall grass and somehow the APC can just zoom up behind me and I don't even see it coming. I've had several heart attacks because of this. I will get through it, just with more swearing. I have plans to start Cyberpunk this week as well. It looks kind of complicated from what I've seen; the menus look very intricate and confusing but maybe once I get into it it would make sense to me. That's what I'm hoping. The cars look so cool in the game so I'm looking forward to getting going on it. And the best part I saved for last in this update: I finally platinumed Planet Coaster. Everything seemed to go swimmingly after the Downtown campaign, except for the challenges where I had to make a certain amount in profit every month from rides. Those took waaaay longer than they should have. I had enough rides, I was charging enough per ride, and everyone was happy. But the damn things would all alternate breaking down so my profits suffered bad, especially when the best rides were out. Oh well, it's all done now and I can wait for Wonder Park to come out. Good update.
Popular Post rcrharvick
Update for 6/28: Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe - 26% Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando (Vita) - 5% The Last of Us: Remastered - 32% Assassins's Creed 2 - 0% LEGO Batman 3 (PS3) - 100 % Sly 3 (PS3) - 0% => 22% The Saboteur - 100% Dirt 5 (PS4) - 23% => 100% LEGO Incredibles - 0% The Walking Dead Season 1 (PS4) - 0% Completed Dirt 5 this last week. I enjoy the game, but was ready to be done with the PS4 version since I did the PS5 one recently as well. BTW the PS5 vs PS4 version of the game is night and day when it comes to the graphics. The difference is so jarring that the PS4 version looks like a PS3 game in comparison, but still enjoyed it overall. Started Sly 3 This last weekend, already beat the first 2 chapters and got all the challenges done for chapter 1 and about half for chapter 2. IDK why but Sly 3 is so much more enjoyable than Sly 2. I did both the PS3 and Vita versions of the first 2 and the Vita version of 3. The PS3 version of 3 is the last one then I'll have all the Sly games platinumed. Sly 2 is by far my least favorite and I can't quite put my finger on what makes it so much less enjoyable than the other 3 games lol. (Still would take Sly 2 over Jak 2 and 3 any day LOL). I also got a couple platinums on The Jumping Fries and Jumping Fries Turbo (almost feel guilty for having this series on my list LOL). Any of these that I add to my list just bumps up when I'm going to play Last of Us, as I still plan on that being #300. Very much intimidated by that one as stealth and survival horror are not my strong suits lol, so any tips for survivor/grounded mode would be appreciated! Happy hunting!! Not sure if you've already played through the game before, but I can pass on some of my wisdom if it'll help ?: Play the first time on easy mode, and pick up all the collectables and parts that you can in your first playthrough. The save system is weird in the game, if you try using chapter select for collectables clean up before going into new game+, it overwrites your later game progress. If you go down this route, you must replay the last chapter before booting up NG+. There aren't enough parts to upgrade all your weapons in a single playthrough. Save your parts for the late game weapons, so when you start collecting more parts in NG+ you can upgrade early game weapons then. I did 2 runs on easy mode to get all the upgrades (but I was screwed over by the save system, see point above). Otherwise you can get this trophy in 1.5 playthrough. You can use an exploit to get into grounded mode without having to play the earlier difficulties first. This is very helpful as difficulty trophies stack. It's described in the trophy guide. For grounded mode, conserve ammo as much as possible. Bottles and bricks are great for causing distractions and luring enemies away. In sections where you have an AI companion, let them do all the work (they have infinite ammo). But this can take a while, the AI can be kinda dumb ? Multiplayer factions is the other grind. For this you don't need to play every single match. I did a play 1, skip 2 rule. The only events that you need to worry about are the 100% population killing events. For these you want to save the easiest tasks such as healing or gifting other players. Hope that helps you out ?

Thankfully I have the multiplayer done on both the PS3 and PS4 versions. I played the single player on PS3 ages ago, but didn't do collectibles as I wanted to focus on the story with no spoilers. So I definitely plan on an easy mode playthrough first then using the exploit to go to grounded+. Is grounded that much harder than survivor? I don't necessarily have to have 100% to be satisfied so if grounded is substantially harder I may just play on survivor.

The main differences are that there's no HUD, the listening mechanic is gone, and then the general less ammo/harder enemies etc. A lot of encounters can be avoided by taking it slow and using distractions as needed, but obviously there are some mandatory encounters which is why you need to conserve your supplies. Grounded mode does give a much more realistic experience, and is generally the best way to play the game
Popular Post Doctor Completion
Progress to report! Summer 2022 Backlog Challenge scoreboard: Portal Knights (100%) Eiyuden Chronicles Rising (0%) Dragon's Crown Pro (0%) Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (0%) Valthirian Arc: High School Story (0%) (starting now) There's a really nasty glitch in the Portal Knights DLC area called the High Rift. It basically brings gameplay to a crawl even as the timed gameplay elements keep ticking down. Roughly one in every two or three runs suffered at the very end; somehow, the glitch happened at the start of a round so I had enough time to make up the loss. I'm glad to put this title behind me. It really soured me at the end.
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Update #4 6/28/22 What's up my challenge friends, hope y'all have had a good week! My final non-challenge update: At long last, I am the proud owner of those god awful GTA V Doomsday trophies!! Took about a month to tame those feral beasts, but with them complete at long last, that sweet S ranking is right around the corner! Finished up Guacamelee, and while some of the Infierno challenges, Hard mode overall, and a few of those orbs were a little rougher than I gave credit for, it never felt like it wasn't doable. It does that great thing where the levels of fun and challenge are always well balanced. Really can't recommend this one enough! Transistor is an incredibly masterful game, and shame on me for dragging my feet on that one. Still have a few tests left, and the limiters isn't something I'm looking forward to, but this will be in the books soon as well! It looks beautiful, the gameplay is stupidly creative, and the story is awesome. It doesn't feel that way at first, but once the first playthrough finished and merges right into the second... man. That shit was a real treat. ...oh, and the music is amazing. Can't forget that! Started SOMA and holy fuck, it's already givin me flashbacks of both Half Life and Dead Space somehow. Only just getting started but this is a phenomenal horror game, can't wait to see how it plays out. It's also a gentle reminder that I should get to Alien: Isolation... always forget how much I love games that can keep me on edge! So yeah, a good week for me! Once Transistor and SOMA are done, I'm thinkin TMNT and Salt and Sanctuary, and if this brisk pace continues I'll likely add a few more. As we all know, there is ALWAYS more backlog! As usual I'm lovin the updates, y'all are absolute animals! Thanks for reading? 1. Transistor (4-->46%) 2. Salt and Sanctuary (0%) 3. Stick It to the Man! ️ 4. Guacamelee! (45-->100%) ✅️ 5. Well I mean, purely focusing on God of War for this challenge until it is done... but, erm you get what I mean I'm sure. Not sure quite what I'll do after that, whether I'll add another five.... or whether I'll go all Johnny Cash, and add one game at a time (sorry for the obscure One Piece At a Time, Johnny Cash reference). I guess I'll see when I get there. Let's chuck out some thoughts on what I've been up to! I'll post the Lone Survivor ones straight from The Ultra Rare cleanup thread, as I'd essentially be saying the same things anyway. Thoughts on Lone Survivor. I expected to have a pretty good time with this one. But I don't think I was quite prepared for how good of a time it was. It's an incredibly unusual game, and I do think you'll either really like it, or you won't like it at all, but it has its own very unique charm to it, and I can't help but appreciate that! I think that's part of the reason this is an ultra rare, as I think a fair few people could be put off by the visuals or general "weirdness" of the game fairly quickly. This is one of the rare examples of a video game where I've enjoyed both the playthrough where you massacre everything, just as much as the one where you're running through the game not firing a single bullet. The gameplay is that surprisingly diverse, that it works just as well both ways. I'm usually not very fond of repetition in gaming, but Lone Survivor also has that unique thing in common with Resident Evil titles where the repetitious nature of them somehow boosts your enjoyment of them (or it does in my case). I really love that feeling where by the time you're near the end you've truly mastered the game, and you can practically run through it without thinking too much. Lone Survivor nails that feeling really well. I'll drop a link to my review of it here if you wanted to read it.. It seems too long to post the whole thing, but I go into a lot more detail about how interestingly Lone Survivor handles things like your mental wellbeing, being your literal health bar and things of that nature. I still think this is a great game though if you're willing to give it a chance! Now comes the tricky part..... Black Mirror... ? Thoughts on Black Mirror I don't know if this was a combination of being really frustrated by Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood online grinding (quite likely) because whilst I've met a few really awesome people during that process, the less than stellar people far outnumber the awesome ones, unfortunately. I thought, let's play Black Mirror? I like point-and-click games... I love them in fact, this should be a nice de-stresser.... WRONG WRONG WRONG. Eurgh, I really, and I mean REALLY didn't like this game... Whether it was the combination of pretty unsubtle Scottish stereotypes, or just the really abundant waste of potential that this mess of a game was, for some reason it just got under my skin a little bit too much. I don't think it's just me, the game is just objectively, incredibly poorly optimised, and basically just becomes a loading screen simulator after a while. It got so frustrating after a while, I almost felt like this poor guy probably did each new loading screen I saw... If you want to read me tear this game a new one I'll leave a link to that here if you so wish.... For a person who is usually pretty positive 95% of the time, Black Mirror seemed to unleash a real monster in me haha ?.... but hey at least I finished it. It's always great to see you all making awesome progress as usual, I never get tired of reading about all the awesome (or sometimes not) games you've been smashing your way through. I'm not sure when I'll start playing God of War, but hopefully soon, I've been juggling a lot more games than I usually would, so hopefully I can sit down and really soak something awesome like that game in! Soooo, I had to start from scratch. It was annoying, but it did let me re-learn the game since I haven't played it for so long. Now I'm making decent progress again, and should hopefully be able to finish it this week. I've got most of the weapons maxed out and a bunch of accessories unlocked so it's just a matter of zoning out and doing a bunch of runs. I also started playing a little Pixeljunk Shooter, but Croixleur is my main focus right now. Ideally I'll finish both before the next update, but Sunbreak is going to take over my life on Friday so who knows. Sunbreak is also what is prompting me to use all 3 of my swaps. I'm taking out the games that would require a lot of time and commitment and swapping in some shorter ones. With these changes I should still be able to complete the challenge even with my MonHun addiction in full swing. If I get through my list I'll add on a couple more games, too. Although I am going to add some more once I get God of War finished off. The last two challenges I've assumed that I'd have far more time to do things than I actually did, so I thought if I keep it manageable this time, and allow myself to add shorter things that are still on my backlog I can balance it nicely with trying to finish up games that have too higher completion for this challenge at the same time. That plan seems to be working so far. 8 hours ago, Heather342 said: @rjkclarke enjoy God of War . That's good to know Heather, thanks! I've quite literally had it for years, so I think it's kind of funny that the time I actually decide to play it, is when it becomes free via PS+ ?... It'll be nice to finally have finished all of the God of War games again too, even if it will be for a brief time probably, before Ragnarok comes out haha. The fact you said it really opens up once you get through the tutorial sections has really gotten me pumped to get into it. I've been itching to play something that's super immersive and really hooks you in. Lone Survivor did, but it was all too brief, so something on a bigger scale will be awesome! So from what you've said it looks like God of War will definitely be a fantastic time! I need to throw you guys some rep points, but those damn muggers keep stealing them! Silly rep point limits! I will be back to throw you and everyone else some, this is becoming a silly running joke now

That did make some of the levels easier, but not quite to the same extent as Sonic 1.Next up is my favorite Sonic game, Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Hoping to get it done. It has been a lot of fun replaying the old games once again. Wish there was a bit more to it. Hard to believe we're already one month into this challenge. Keep it up, everyone!
Popular Post freddie1989
Update time!! AC Origins finished, excellent DLC to go with the base game. Overall great experience and cant wait to move on to next in the series. Finished Spyro as well which was so fun to go back to a piece of history. Likely leave the others in the series to the next challenge as I've set myself a big task as it is. Far Cry up next, will likely switch BF V out as I've not finished 1 yet and my ocd hates it ?? Happy hunting people!! Popular Post DFuzed
Wow, another month has passed and lots of things happening in my personal life (which I will NOT go into!) and the stuff I've been able to do game-wise. All I will say about my personal life is that a major change is happening this summer which has made things tough. Add on trying to do everything at once and not have full access to online services for half the month has caused me more headaches than I ever wanted. But I have done my best to give me some R&R and game daily. So, without further ado, let me give you a review of the games I played this month: Persona 4 Golden (Vita): Finally got this game done after starting it, switching to a different game, coming back to it, doing a second play-through then trying to get the final trophy where an accident happens while fusing (had to load a save from the first game to finally get it to happen). Really enjoyed this game, as I have the other Persona games. Liked it enough that I finished the second run to the end, even though I didn't have to. If the rumours are true that the original persona games are coming to PSN (and have trophies) I will play them. Oh, and Rise-chan is the best. I don't care what anyone else says but a redhead idol with sass is right up my alley. Pic-a-Pix Colour (Vita): One of my filler games for daily trophies. I admit that these are slowly running out. With Tell Tale games no longer being made and games like Life is Strange are few and far between, I'm going to be relying on these and Powgli games to fill the holes on days that I cannot get my daily trophies done. And now that they no longer making games on the Vita, it's going to be even harder to have some for weekends where I have to travel and my Vita is the only option for me. So I will try to limit my Vita games as much as possible, although I know that's going to be hard to resist. Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning: I remember getting this game on PS3 for free as one of the first PS Plus games I got. I played the crap out of it and recalled loving it. The style similar to WoW and the obvious attempt to copy Elder Scrolls without actually copying Elder Scrolls is all there, as well as the fighting styles and tasks. I keep recalling that I had done this quest the first time I played this game. And remember how hard this game can be unforgiving. Especially since it has to be done on Hard Mode to get the plat. And me wanting to do ALL of the quests, even the ones that have nothing to do with trophies (the perfectionist/OCD in me). I am having fun playing this and planning to work on it first and foremost. One Night Stand (PS5): I only played this because I wanted something easy to do on my vacation this week. It's already done and over with, which I will update on my next weekly update. I didn't have to pay for the upgrade to PS5 and I knew it would be an easy one to do so I put it on the list to play. I even briefly thought of using it as a daily but thought against it in the end. Still a decent story with multiple endings but too short for my liking. The Order 1886: So I happened to be in the right spot at the right time to get a bunch of PS4 games for free, including this I got Watch Dogs 2, Bloodborne and Dyling Light. I could have taken a couple more but they were either sports games (which i do not play) or multiplayer shooter games (which I also don't play). I wouldn't be playing this game either were it not given to me for nothing; I knew that the trophies were relatively easy and wouldn't be worth it to make it a daily grinder either. Plan is to finish it this week or early next week depending on how things go. Slay the Spire: Still loving this game. I'm trying hard to get trophies in this game but it is slow going. But I'm not pushing to finish it fast either. And I am making progress too; just tonight I tried my first attempt at the secret final boss...and got my ass handed to me on a silver platter with all the trimmings. But I will continue playing this until I get bored with it or something similar catches my eye. Life is Strange: BtS Remastered: Almost done this game sadly. I forgot that there were only 3 chapters. And with time I need to do trophies in Kingdom of Amalur, I am slowly using up the last few I have on this game. I know that this being a prequel what can be done for a story is quite limited, and the 'choices' don't amount to being as important as they would be if it happened after the original game. It's a shame that they didn't make it that choices in the prequel would affect the original in the remake versions. Don't think this game will last much longer but will try to stretch it out as far as I can. That's it for this month. I have no idea what will be worked on next and no idea what will be left for August, and who know what happens between now and then. Have a good day, let the RNG gods favour you, try not to throw controllers too much and find those gems you really want to play.
Popular Post KimBongUn420
Update 4: Well, after successfully avoiding a second round of covid for over 2 years, it finally caught up to me on Monday. On the plus side, that meant I was able to make a ton of progress in Lost Judgment: 96% of TownGo done, including all shop and school missions. School stories arc is completely finished as well. All side cases done All girlfriends romanced for those DLC trophies Currently in the final chapter of the story Only things left are finishing the story, rounding out the last 10 city missions in TownGo, finishing a few miscellaneous trophies, Kaito Files playthrough and Legend playthrough. This is still the game that is earmarked for my 150th platinum so I will hold off on completing it for a bit. I'm hoping to have Stranger of Paradise, Lost Judgment and Cyberpunk 2077 done by the time I head to Germany on 7/17. That should leave 3 pretty easy games for completion in August. Plans for this week: Finish Stranger of Paradise (I swear I will finally do this) Work on Cyberpunk 2077 Get everything but the Legend difficulty run completed in Lost Judgment (set up for plat #150) List: Cyberpunk 2077 [PS5] - 42% Shenmue II Life is Strange: True Colors [PS5] Lost Judgment [PS5] - 10% -> 62% Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin [PS5] - 91% My Name is Mayo 3 Games Complete: 0/6 Trophies: 107/267 (40.1%)
