Popular Post Heather342
Update #8 Another week has gone by, so time for another update! The start of the week I didn't get too much gaming done, mainly due to the heatwave we were having in the UK. But thankfully by Wednesday it had cooled down in my little corner of the world, so the gaming time increased from there ? I'm still working through the same 2 games. On Team Sonic Racing I managed to get all the stars in Adventure mode chapters 1 and 2, and also got a trophy for unlocking all the performance mods for all the cars. I still have quite a lot of stars left to get though, and then I need to complete the adventure mode again on both hard mode and expert mode. Not really looking forward to that, but I'll just keep chipping away at those challenges. Bayonetta is where the most progress has been made this week. I finally finished the story on Normal. Now I've reloaded my game through chapter select, dropped the difficulty down to very easy and am cleaning up the collectables and combat trophies. I'm almost done with this bit, once I've found the notes and chests then I'll bump the difficulty back up to Normal to clear the Alfheim portals. Then it's just one playthrough on Hard mode, then one playthrough on Infinite Climax mode. But considering how much I got my ass kicked in Normal mode I'm not sure how quickly I'll get through the higher difficulties, hopefully it won't take too long ? Happy hunting! Trophy progress: Team Sonic Racing - 44 -> 50% Bayonetta - 17 -> 58%

While I am a big Star Wars fan, this game was kind of meh. You don't unlock double;e jump until 3/4 the way through the game, the lightsabre combat and force powers were clunky at best. Regardless I have a few more hours of collectable hunting to do plus the remaining combat trophies before I can wrap this one up. I am considering swapping out FFX-2 with another game as after Digimon I am feeling burned out from RPGs. I think I might choose Spiderman Miles Morales, but I'll wait until I am done Star Wars before I make that decision.

Otherwise, the only game from my list I played this week was Assassin`s Creed Rogue (finally finished the story and get a few of the miscellaneous trophies out of the way. With "only" the collectibles, 100% sync and grind trophies are remaining, I hope I can finish the game until my next update). Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series A collection of Klonoa 1 and 2. I loved the games back in the days (and get punched hard in the feelings by the ending of the first one, like everyone who played it, I supose) and I can say that both games have pass the test of time and are as fun as they were back then. My only negative points come from the collection itself. The first game has some kind of stuttering/lag when new moving objects (enemies, platforms) come on the screen. Not everytime but often enough to be noticeable and it can cost you a life when you are in a platforming sequence and fail to grab an enemy because of the stuttering. Also the pixelfilter looks like your tv screen is blurred (It reminded me of the 8 bit bonus levels in Rayman Legends). The platinum was easy for the most part. Play through both games and rescue all villagers/dolls and play through the 3 bonus levels (the only hard part of the platinum). On a side note: I think the developers of Klonoa 2 were big Sonic Adventure1/2 fans. I mean: Klonoa got a blue shirt, blue pants and shoes in a red/white color scheme. He also wears his cap backwards for more `tude, the game has levels on a snowboard with changing camera perspectives and one level has a sequence with Klonoa on the wings of an flying double decker in pursuit of an giant airship.

Other progress was only made in Rayman Legends. Truely a fantastic game, hence I'm playing this a second time. When it comes to reaching Awesome level 11, I can fairly that I'm closing in on level 10, where I still have of the singleplayer Cups left. Other distractions: Due to the announcement of the server shutdown I played a little Assassin's Creed III as well. Knocked out more online Trophies. Also worked on overall completion rate with MotoGP 14, which than got less after starting new games Killzone Mercenary and Split/Second (mp done). I intend to do Far Cry 3 as well. At least it isn't August yet.

I also progressed far enough in the story to access Inazuma. Unfortunately, that meant putting Dragon's Crown Pro away for a bit. I'm back at it now. I have a month until the fall term starts, so that means pushing off gaming until the evening and going to bed at a decent hour. Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys. Hope it's been a good week for you all. This week I managed to get further in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. I think starting a new playthrough was the right call. I beat the stupid gorilla boss and nearly took out owl on my first run... I didn't get much further than that as the heat in the UK this week had me turn off the console as my bed room was getting very hot and I didn't think it would be good to melt my PS5. On my PS4 I've dabbled in some shorter games through PS plus or the Summer sale. Two of these I'm adding to my list Sparklite (game swap due to how quickly the challenge is progressing!) which I've already platinumed was a nice zelda-esque game, I don't think the roguelite elements fitted it well however, and Stray because everyone else is playing it. My daughter played it with me but strated to cry when stray was seperated from its kitten buddies bless her. This week I hope to play more Sekiro, Stray, push some meta completion in Genesis Alpha One and start playing Returnal again. If I think next months gaming time will be tight I'll likely swap another game for a quicker title from the summer sale. Have a good week. For some reason I thought it was going to be like an island themed city simulator, but it was more of an arcadey puzzle game. I enjoyed it, though I wish it had been longer. I liked having to plan out my buildings based on their ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’. It has me wanting a scenario based island management game with a similar mechanic, like rollercoaster tycoon campaign mode, but for city planning…if that makes sense ? I made some small progress in the other games on my list, but I’m also currently playing a trophy game on another site that has me diving into games I’ve left behind years ago, and it has made me surprisingly competitive. There’s 1 round left and then I’ll be back to this list 100%. I’m also adding Stray, like a lot of others. I’m very much enjoying it and it’s another game my kids are happy to watch me play so that’s a plus

I'm hoping to knock one out per week with that final week as a buffer. Actually this week I'm going to try and finish both Axiom Verge and Pixeljunk Shooter to give me even more time with the other, longer two. But even if I only finish one of those I'll still be happy. Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Here’s my weekly update. I’ve mostly played 3 games this week and I’ve made some good progress. I’ve finished new game + on survivor difficulty for the Last of Us Remastered. This time around it was a lot easier to get through, as I didn’t have to focus so much on collectibles. I’ve started up the multiplayer and so far I’m really bad at it ?. Hope I can get a bit better, because I’ll need to spend a lot of time in it and get a bunch of kills for the trophies. I’ve completed Super Perils of Baking this week for PS4. An enjoyable platformer that actually has a different trophy list on PS4 and PS5. The one on PS5 is a lot more difficult, but since I don’t own one I completed the PS4 version. I’m still playing both versions of Pic-a-pix, next week I’m going on vacation to Greece next week. Will take my Vita and try to complete Pic-a-pix. I’m adding Stray to my list, I really want to play it and light as well add it to the challenge ? Luckily I should be able to just rubber band/afk boost the rest of the 100 matches I need. Last of Us has taken way longer than I anticipated. I finished up Easy+ on Tuesday and last night got all the way to Bill's town on my Survivor+ run. I hope to have it finished by this weekend. I feel like I started off this challenge so strong but now I'm having trouble getting over the hump. I'm gonna keep pushing though! I’m going to have to use the last of my swaps (3/3) on Resident Evil 5. I could have sworn I owned an old copy but seem to have misplaced it in my pit of a house, so Stray comes in instead. Some good progress in this update and I’ve now passed halfway for my (as usual) overambitious list. Finished games first: 14. Guardians of the Galaxy 0% > 100% There are two things I dislike while playing games, following a collectibles guide for a game where I’m enjoying the story, and second playthroughs to cleanup collectibles in games where I don’t find the gameplay very fun. For this one I resigned myself early on to having to do the latter as I really didn’t want to interrupt the flow of a surprisingly good story. The devs really nailed the aesthetic and characters, and paired with a decent story that made for a thoroughly enjoyable first playthrough. The gameplay though really started to grate towards the end. Wave after wave of the same enemies, especially in the later chapters, really got quite boring and frustrating. That feeling was trebled when going back for the collectibles run which left a bit of a sour taste. If I had my time again I’d probably avoid the second playthrough at all costs. Solid 8/10 though, if they give a bit more variety in the enemy encounters I’d happily play a sequal. 13. Going Under 0% > 4% > 47% > 86% > 95% Having got the platinum and with only the dlc content to do I think I might be done with Going Under for two reasons. 1. The DLC challenges seem quite difficult and while I have made limited runs in the dlc area all my runs to grind to purchase the skills has left me a bit burnt out. As well as that my save file has 2. Developed a glitch whereby the game gets stuck at the first loading screen, I can get into the game eventually but by now it is taking many restarts and I’m not sure I can be bothered. Might come back in the highly unlikely event I finish everything else, but probably done with this. 4. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 9% > 21% > 27% 11. Mass Effect 2 0% > 27% I’ll lump these two together since I’ve talked about them previously and really just plugging away with the story in both cases. Almost finished with the AC odyssey story and continue to be unimpressed but still chipping away slowly. ME2 I’m enjoying so far, found the first one to be a bit better mechanically and have found most of the changes to be things I don’t appreciate but I will give it an extended chance since I seem to have picked up from various sources that this is the best one of the original 3. 2. Stray 0% > 79% Nearly finished with my swap in, just got to get the flawless encounter and the speedrun. It’s well designed, movement feels great which I imagine was very difficult to get right, not sure it will live on in the memory though, story is a bit thin and given the setting they had to work with I feel they could have delved into the mystery a bit further but oh well. 1. Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS3) 44% > 64% On my list at my wife’s insistence, older Tomb raider holds a lot of nostalgic memories for her and if it removes it from my backlog at the same time then so much the better. So far I have knocked out a few miscellaneous trophies and have been following a guide for the collectibles. Don’t mind much with this one though since being an older title very little of the story ever happens within gameplay so it doesn’t feel like I’m interrupting anything. Just have the treasures and relics and to finish on “hard” mode but should be finished relatively soon Plans before next update and to keep plugging away with AC and ME and save Tomb Raider for when my wife is home. I might get into one of the longer games on my list (either cyberpunk or kingdom come) and going to play okami in small spurts just to keep the trophies ticking over. Popular Post Heather342
Update 9 Hi everyone. Another week has gone by, so time to check in with some challenge updates. It's been a pretty good week for me this week, so lets get started ? I spent most of the week cleaning up Bayonetta. I was doing the collectables and combat trophy clean up on very easy mode, and this was mostly very straightforward. The only really difficult combat trophy is the one to get 3 consecutive counterstrikes, just because the timing of this has to be right at the very last second before an enemy hits you, and I wasn't that great at reading their attack patterns ?. Also the problem with being very easy mode was that the enemies would die pretty quick, so I could get 1 or 2 counters in, and then completely mess up the last one and suddenly find myself with no enemies left on the field. I did get it eventually, pure fluke I reckon! The next item on my clean up was the Alfheim portals. These are like little challenge battle arenas with certain conditions and time limits to complete. Some of these I found really difficult. I remember being stuck on some for well over an hour. But I was very happy when all that was completed. Finally, I needed to clear the game on the 2 higher difficulties. I was worried going into this as I'd struggled a lot on normal mode. But it turns out I could buy an item called the Immortal Marionette, an item which pulls off complex combos for you without having to know the button combination. This allowed me to just button mash my way through the game ?. Hard mode was fine, a couple of enemy placements were different and the enemies seemed a bit tougher. But you can still use Witch Time in hard mode, which gives you a few seconds of slowed down time to smack enemies about. In Infinite Climax mode though, Witch Time is disabled, but this was only really a problem for me in the final boss battle during the epilogue chapter. It took me a few goes, but eventually managed to finish the game and earn the plat. It was a fun game, but by the time I got to infinite climax mode I was ready to put the game away, was a bit of a slog near the end. I then went to my next challenge game, Operation Tango. I'm playing this with my husband, so far we've completed mission 4 (of 6) on our first playthrough. I started as the Agent, and he is the Hacker for this run. So far I'm really enjoying this game, it's such a clever concept and really heavily relies on good communication to get through the puzzles. Once we finish our first playthroughs, we'll need to switch roles and do all the missions again, and then the DLC challenge level. I'm also still dabbling in Team Sonic Racing. I finished up the remaining miscellaneous trophies for using the different wisps, and still working my way through those challenge races to unlock stars and keys. I've managed to get the trophies for all the stars on Chapters 3 and 4 of Adventure mode. Once that's done I need to do the Team races of each chapter again on Hard mode to unlock those trophies, then again on expert mode to unlock the final paint kits needed. In the non-challenge updates, I managed to get my S Rank for one of the new Cuphead bosses. However the gauntlet still kicks my ass ? Happy hunting everyone, and keep up all the great work! Trophy progress: Bayonetta - 58 -> 100% Operation Tango - 0 -> 25% Team Sonic Racing - 50 -> 65%
Popular Post StilRh
Hey guys. Hope it's been a good week. This week I platinumed Stray and played a bit of Salt and Sacrifice (no trophies in this but I leveled a bit as I feel my build was suboptimal and I struggled with one of the named mages) and Genesis Alpha One. I swapped out Disco Elysium for Rimworld Console Edition as a fan of city simulation and story tellers like Dwarf Fortress I couldn't NOT start it. With only a month left I think there are a fair few more platinums I can still get from the challenge if my work schedule allows it. Popular Post Doctor Completion
Here's an update with a month to go. Summer 2022 Backlog Challenge scoreboard: Portal Knights (100%) Eiyuden Chronicles Rising (100%) Dragon's Crown Pro (37%) Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (0%) Valthirian Arc: High School Story (100%) I hope I'll be able to finish the challenge. I just have to be diligent while working during daytime hours, so I can feel good with a high-quality gaming evening.
Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Hey Everyone! It's been quite a while since my last update. Since then I received my "new-to-me" copy of Resistance 3 (works flawlessly so far) and gotten back to the game. Unfortunately now I'm about 2 weeks behind where I planned to be by this point. I have finished the campaign and started on Superhuman difficulty (7/20 chapters done). Next week, it will be crunch time at work before my staycation/vacation, which won't leave me much time for gaming but I will try to finish the game on Superhuman if I can. The good thing is, while I was waiting for the game to arrive, I finished up a couple of games (story-wise/personal goal-wise) I was playing on the side and now I can solely focus on this challenge pretty much. I will have to buckle down and hit my games hard for those few days I'll be home and on my trip but I think it's still doable. Resistance 3 [PS3] - 5% -> 40% MotoGP 18 [PS4] - 10% SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom [PS4] - 100% Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires [PS3] - 100% Papers, Please [Vita] - 0% Peace out!

This should have been a game I purchased when it was on sale instead of on day 1 to let it sit in my backlog for as long as it did. While I did enjoy it being a solo-player game, the controls and combat system need to be polished. I decided to swap out FFX-2 for Spider-Man. It added 5 more trophies to my total, but as I said last week I am feeling a little burned out from RPGs after platinum 5 of them over the last year. Finished up the main story here tonight and knocked out some of the collection and combat trophies. Just have to do the remaining side missions, challenges, collection, and combat trophies before I start my second playthrough on New Game+ for the final trophies. Popular Post reaperveteran86
Update 8 - Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories 100% - Final Fantasy 7 0% -> 2% - Trials of Mana 71% -> 100% - Gal Gun 2 (EU) 15% - Dragon Quest Heroes Heroes: The World Tree´s Woe and the Blight Below 11% - Assassins Creed Rogue Remastered 51% -> 100% - Azur Lane: Crosswave (EU) 7% -> 14% - Shining Resonance Refrain 14% - Ys: Memories of Celceta 11% - Lego Marvel`s Avenger 100% - Ultra Age (JP) 100% . - Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series 57% -> 100% I finished Assassin`s Creed Rogue Remastered. Other than that I played a bit of Azur Lane: Crosswave (Chapter 1 is finished) and started Final Fantasy 7 yesterday and got the heaviest nostalgia just from playing the introduction and hearing the music. Assassin`s Creed Rogue Remastered In the beginning I hated the ship gameplay (the perspective, and the controls in general) but I learned to tolerate them and even had a bit of fun with the ship battles. But then came the first legendary battle (Labrador, cute dogs but a very frustrating battle for me), which I lost 10 times (with a fully upgraded ship). After I finally won this battle (just barely alive) I breezed through the 2. and 3. battle (much easier) and used the cheat for the storm fortress. In conclusion: I`m glad that Ass Creed never got back to this form of ship battles (I know that Origins/Odyssey have them, but I heard they are done better). The rest of the game is your typical Assassin`s Creed gameplay, this time as a templar that has the same moves and weapons as every other assassin in the series. I liked the story in this one, and that it is a connection to all the games that played in america (and even Unity).

I seem to be making a lot more progress on these games than I realize. The NieR remake is going fantastic! I am currently on Route C continuing on with the material grind. I love a lot of the little scenes they added from the vanilla game. The story with Louise was really sad...
