Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Here's my weekly update. I've finished 2 games this week and got 3 platinums. I finished the Last of Us online trophies this week. I actually quite enjoyed it even tho I don't usually play online games. All I have left now is the grounded playthrough, which I started. I've completed a few chapters through chapter select and I'm actually playing the game from back to the front. Hope I'll be able to finish it before the challenge ends. I got the platinum in Salt and Sanctuary. I enjoyed playing this game. I needed to do a second playthrough because I missed a conversation with the scarecrow. I was able to complete it pretty easily. I also finished the last Pic-a-Pix game. Not too hard but I enjoy playing these puzzle games in between the longer titles. The next few days I will try to complete Lost in Random and The Last of Us grounded mode. If I can do that I would have completed 9 games this challenge. I will be pretty happy with that number Lego: Harry Potter years 1-4 - 100% Lego the Hobbit - 100% Super Perils of Baking - 100% Stray - 100% Pic-a-pix Classic 2 - 100% The Last of Us Remastered - 83% --> 89% Cuphead - 32% Pic-a-pix Classic - 60% --> 100% Salt and Sanctuary - 91% --> 100% Danganronpa 2 - 11%Lost in Random - 40% --> 61% Swaps 3/3
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Update #10 8/28/22 What's up, my fine fellow challenge enthusiasts? Firstly, huge props to everybody who been wrapping things up in the last week and some change! It's such a joy (and great motivator as well) to read up on everybody else's progress and seeing them accomplish their goals. Also big up to our fearless leader, @MidnightDragon! Appreciate all you do to keep thing thing goin? I'm happy to report that I am joining y'all on the other side of the finish line? Just finished Guacamelee 2 last night - when we got home, my wife decided to "rest her eyes," which meant it was time to bust out the PS4 (and keep the swearing as quiet as possible) and I got so wrapped up that I didn't realize it was going on 4am when I was done? A testament to how addicting the Guacamelee games really are! This was a tough nut to crack. I played exclusively on Hard and while I can definitely see that in some ways this is a bit smoother than the first game (Mindful Meditation alone comes through clutch as hell more often than not), the combat and platforming are amped up to such a degree that there's times where it feels like the developers have to be fucking with us! Even still though, the fun gameplay and charming style always came through and it was never anything I wanted to be away from for too long. I'd recommend both games to pretty much anybody! I'm really glad I stuck with cleaning out solely indie titles in my backlog this time around, lot of great games I been sleeping on. As usual this has been a blast, thanks to everybody taking part in this challenge for always helping to create a fun, encouraging atmosphere. See you guys next time! 1. Transistor ️ 2. Popular Post StilRh
Hey gang, hope it's been a nice week for you all. This week, messing around in Rimworld aside, I've not been playing my listed games that much due to wanting things a little more mindless and casual due to the week I've had at work. In the future I think I'll try and better balance my lists as when I first draft it I overestimate my ability to be skillful, grind or or follow a complex guide (due to missables) after a tough shift. I swapped a game out for Cult of the Lamb as the platinum became obtainable (and I got this) and it was something I had started during the challenge. On the side I've played Forager due to it's pleasureable gameplay loop for some mindless automation. I've also purchased a Nintendo Switch for nights when I'm with my family and I can't break away to game on my ps5 in another room. I am loving the range of JRPGs, indies and digital board games I've never had access to on sony platforms (current installed Xenoblade chronicles 2, Bravely default 2 and Into the breach). Hopefully Switch time won't compete for PS5/4 time... we'll see. I plan to try to get another game completed before the challenge ends as I have tomorrow and Wednesday off. Popular Post ArtisticGeek
Update # 4 Hey everyone this is more than likely going to be my final update for this event. I’m sorry for the lack of posts during this event I’ve just been busy and got caught up in other things and had been going through a partial burnout which I feel is reflected in my progress since i didn’t even manage to touch 2 of the games on this list. Overall I’m still happy with what I got done. especially Yakuza 3, but I do feel this has been my weakest event entry. I hope everyone has been enjoying themselves with completing their games and I wish for you all to have better luck than me with getting your lists finished! Popular Post KimBongUn420
Final Update: all done! Finishing off with the Hitman HD Enhanced collection turned out to be a great choice. I particularly enjoyed Absolution, even though it's not a true Hitman game in a lot of ways. It surprised me how many things in the WoA trilogy were carried over from both Absolution and Blood Money. Really looking forward to the 007 game that IOI has in development. Anyways, on to the next one! See you there. Popular Post xItsLesterx
Final Update Here we go with another End of the Event update. I almost didn't complete The Last Guardian because I was not feeling the game at all. Was really disappointed in it hence why it took me so long to get it done. Last update, I was ready to give up on Star Wars Battlefront but I was able to find a great group of guys that literally carried me through the game. Star Wars Battlefront II was a much easier game to get done. Now, I haven't popped both platinum trophies for my very own reasons so don't judge ?? Overall, great success on this event. Completed everything I set myself to. Games list: Battlefield 1 (0% => 100%) Battlefield V (2% => 100%)) South Park: The Fractured but Whole (0% => 100%) Star Wars Battlefront (12%) => The Last Guardian (0% => 100%) Star Wars Battlefront II (97%) Huge shoutout to @MidnightDragon for hosting such a great event and everyone who participated. This has been the closest I have been to completing one of these challenges today, hopefully I will be successful on the next one.

Fun but weird game. It plays like a VR game (player character has no body and is only a hand/a gun, changing positions through clicking instead of character movement) but it isn`t VR compatible. You shoot girls to give them euphoria (the feeling, not the strange fetish eroge) to free them from a demonic possession. The characters are cute and detailed and I think they even speak with lip sync (which I find respectable for a budget game). I have completed 9 out of 12 games in this event, which I`m fine with. I think I could have finished my list but I got distracted from non list games. Thanks to @MidnightDragon for hosting such a fun event and I hope to see you all again in the fall event.

Popular Post rjkclarke
Final Update Stick it to the Man (PS4) 0%>100% God of War (2018) (PS4) 0%> 100% Lone Survivor (PS4) 0% > 100% The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (PS4) 0%> 100% Black Mirror (PS4) 0%> 100% Games Completed 5/5 So..... my gaming time took a massive hit around the middle of July whilst I was in the middle of playing through God of War, I had a mixture of loads of really huge things going on in my personal life (some absolutely amazing, some the furthest thing from great that you could possibly imagine, mixed with some of the worst burn out I think I have ever experienced with video games, and it lasted a good three weeks at least). Thankfully I am out of the other side of that now. My advice to any of you if you ever get burned out with trophy hunting - find someone that you're really close to, and just play some games with them, completely trophy free and hassle free. Just enjoy that persons company, and enjoy the experience that you get from that. For me, it was all that I needed to remind myself that I still loved gaming, a whole lot actually. I am sorry that I kind of lost track of the event in the last 6 weeks or so, I have noticeably been posting and looking at the site a lot less than I was, not through not wanting to, more just being more than a little distracted lately. It was nice to read a lot of your final updates though, and see the massive amount of progress that I always expect all of you awesome folks to be making, and are always making with these events. I'll throw out some thoughts on God of War quickly too! God of War was a real blast to play through, once I actually got in the swing of it, and reconceptualised what I actually thought I wanted from another God of War game. It's one of those games I think where the moment you let go of the notion of what you think a God of War title should be, you'll start to have a much better time with it. This is the type of God of War game that I never realised that I wanted, or needed. Whilst some of the action set pieces are gone, they've been replaced with a different kind of set piece. There are still action set pieces, but I think the broader focus on narrative, character development and story-telling really has brought a whole lot of depth to the series that wasn't quite there before. As a trophy hunting experience I found it really satisfying too, for the most part, that encouragement to see and do everything in a game is one that doesn't go unnoticed from me........ Apart from Niflheim, that can go and sit on a pile of cacti. It's fun enough, but I lost too many Mist Echoes to my own stupidity, and getting distracted by notifications ...... So really I'm at fault not the game ? I'm not going to link a review, because I've been so unproductive on the site, I haven't actually written one yet . I am in the process of doing that, but there's one part of the game that hit me ridiculously hard emotionally, so I'm struggling to find a way to write about it without giving away both spoilers and talking in too much depth about what I need to talk about. But that's my stupid problem to have right? ? I really did enjoy the first part of the event that I did actively get involved in though, and I'll try and throw a list together and join in with the Fall one too, as I do always love making my backlog smaller alongside so many of you awesome folks! Huge thanks as always to @MidnightDragon - for just constantly being the encouraging and awesome person that you always are with these challenges. It doesn't go unnoticed, or underappreciated. So thanks again for helping to keep us all motivated! You deserve every bit of thanks! See you all in the next one everyone, and congratulations again to you all!

Popular Post Static_Rook
Final Update - 8/31/2022 Blue Reflection Second Light 32% 8/31/2022 It took an all-night marathon session, but Blue Reflection Second Light is done! Completing the first playthrough took a little longer than expected because I was invested in the story and didn't want to skip anything. I also spent a few hours on the Hidden Island before realizing it was an extra area and not part of the main story. Whoops! But it did help me get everyone to level 50 quickly. The NG+ run to max out all the Talent Points and get the Locations that I missed wasn't too bad overall. Though marathon-ing it all in like 10 hours probably isn't the best way to experience it. The only things that really dragged it out were not being able to fully skip Date scenes (you can only advance the dialogue quickly), and the fact that one of the locations I needed only opens up near the end of the game. I considered giving Croixleur Sigma another go before midnight, but decided against it. My hands, eyes, and back need a rest after that all-nighter. So the streak of not completing my list continues, but I'm still happy with what I got done. I'll finish the challenge with 7 out of 8 games completed. Knocked out a couple games that have been in the backlog for 7+ years, a couple Ultra Rares, and a couple of easy, breezy plats. A good summer mix. Thanks again to MidnightDragon (not at'ing since your notifications are probably going nuts right now) for running the show, and see you all in the Fall challenge! Did quite a bit of stuff both in real life and as a gamer but everything just seemed to fly by. And this also means the end of the Summer Backlog Challenge. Big shout out to @MidnightDragon for hosting it again. And look forward to seeing everyone in the Fall Challenge! As for the games I played, well... Slay the Spire - Yes, still playing this. I knew going in that this was going to be a marathon, not a race, to play this game. Trying for too many trophies at once in this game is, not impossible, but you have to have very good luck with certain cards dropping, the RNG of the deck and getting the best, if only, monster to battle to get some of these. Case in point, one trophy I got required a 50 strength buff, which I got by having a relic that added +2 to strength to my character (and +1 strength to the enemies) then using a potion that also gave +1 to strength each round, thus +3 per round. Another required to only have 3 cards in your hand. Since you start with 12 this means you need to find ways to remove cards. For some reason I was down to 6 and used 3 of them (two played as battle buffs and one removed from play which left me with three and getting the trophy. Then also got one trophy for beating the normal final boss with only common cards in my deck. Tried for others of course and thought I had one until I looked at what I actually have to do Very situational thing needing specific potions, cards and such. Still going to play it because I am enjoying this. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning: Just had a few trophies to finish at the start of last month, mostly to do with killing 50 of certain types of monsters. I was practically done the game at that point and just had to finish it up. Still think it as a great game and was fun to revisit although my original plan to do every quest failed (does that mean I failed my quest!?) and some were just 'return x for money' that would never end. Some Lorestones were a pain to get to as well, with some only accessible through quest lines. Did finally get them all although they were pains to get. Chrono Cross - So going into this I was set for a huge challenge, but once I realized that there was cheats to help make the game easier I saw a faster pace than I thought it would be. And while I did follow a guide online, especially for all of the endings, I also fought more monsters than I really needed to. Just isn't my play-style to pass by monsters and not kill them. Once again I got that nostalgic feel from playing this. Still can't believe that, to 'fix' a mistake they made in the first game that they made a second game. I imagine if Chrono Trigger was made in this generation a patch would have added to correct that glaring issue. Now if they re-re-release Chrono Trigger I'd definitely be playing that. Sakura Succubus & Sakura Succubus 2 - So I've been wanting to play this series for a bit, mostly because I am a sucker for a good story (even if it has plenty of fan service) and I also enjoy visual novels as well. First on my visual novel will always be Stein's Gate and have played any of them I could get my hands on. And while these games are not anything like SG, I still want to play games like these occasionally. My initial plan was to have all of the games as one and play them back-to-back but looking at my list at one point I knew that two might be the maximum that I could do this challenge and I was pretty much on the money, although admittedly I wasn't planning to use these games as back-up games but they worked. Maneater - Playing this game for the second time and regretted it immediately, not because I hated the game but I contemplated switching it for Stray and play that instead. But I resisted the temptation and kept with this game. Took some getting used to the controls and think it would be the best if I didn't switch to something else outside of back-up trophies I gotten about roughly a quarter of all the game done between collectibles, killing Apex monsters, total Infamy and such. I want to say that it won't take long to finish but not sure about that. Pic-a-Pix Color (Vita) - I've been keeping this game in reserve for when travelling, well mostly. I did have an hour wait while my car was getting an oil change and such so I played the game some and had to use a trophy from this game because I was in a pickle with my dailies (namely I was going to hit more than my two-a-day limit). Will be playing this come the first weekend of the next challenge so it will be played again. and that's it for this month's games. I seriously thought that I had way too many games here and would have too many games untouched or not completed. But most games were finished and of those that weren't, they will be played again come the fall Challenge. See everyone over there!

I didn't have much time to play. Due to home renovation I also had to box the PS3. August was more busy than expected. Still, finishing 8 games feels nice. I will be back in the Fall Challenge but I will start with a smaller list for sure.
Popular Post StilRh
Hey guys. It's been fun. Thanks to all participants and thanks @MidnightDragon for being an excellent host. This challenge I did reasonably well. A few of the bigger/harder games didn't really get play as much as I thought they would - I found myself gravitating towards smaller or more casual experiences in the face of work/life pressures and I'm going to carry that lesson into future challenges (though part of me thinks 'I want to sink my teeth into a ultra hard 600 hour game'). My vita had no play as it died on me a few times, there is the vita TV but it feels like too much effort to set up. This challenge I was able to dial my neuroticism and play off-list games when I fancied it to keep things fun and fresh for me.
