Popular Post Heather342
Update 1 Hi guys, hope you've all had a great week and a strong start to the new backlog challenge ?. I did actually take a little gaming break for a few days. The last 4 months I was taking part in a trophy league on one of the discord servers I'm in, and it had been a pretty intense time especially towards the end (spoiler alert - my team won! ?). So I took a few days to recharge before the summer backlog challenge. So far the only game I've played is Resident Evil 2. At the start of the year I decided that this game would be my milestone trophy for platinum #75. This is the first time I've played this game, although I did start it a couple of days before the start of the challenge. I used to watch my brother play the original RE games on PS1 when we were kids, but I was always too afraid to play it. Now is my time! ? The most progress I've made was this weekend, and I'm a substantial way through the trophy list now. I am still playing on assisted mode for now. I've finished Leon A and Claire B scenarios, seen the true ending, got quite a few of the misc trophies and done the no box run. So far I'm really enjoying the game, although I have been spooking myself by playing in the dark with my headphones on ?. Particularly when Mr X showed up and started chasing me around the place, the genuine sense of dread I felt reminded me of when I played Alien Isolation (I have screamed a few times). I had a few goes of the extra modes today. I got pretty far in the 4th survivor mode but not finished it yet. I need to plan my route through better and conserve my ammo. I'll keep practicing and hopefully will get it done this coming week. Trophy progress: Resident Evil 2 - 20 -> 51%

Popular Post StilRh
Hey guys. Hope it's been a nice week and you've had a good start to the challenge. I was told my a doctor that I have been slowly breaking down since a serious incident at work and that they were worried about my mental health. My emotions had been cycling quite quickly, I wasn't really sleeping or looking after myself properly. I was still working hard so no-one noticed/mentioned it earlier lol. I was ready to quit hearing this as I felt a bit of a failure for not keeping it together. Fortunately my manager was really compassionate and encouraged me to stay but take a bit of sick leave. I feel pretty embarrased about it all now, but I will be taking a few days to focus on me, getting some post-incident support and look at handing over some of my workload to others. Hopefully this will help me move on from the incident and be happier and effective at life in general. Short term advantage - is I'll have some time to play every day this week. This week, rather than focus on a particular title, I've been playing broadly across my list. I've played a bit of Hitman 3, Atelier Sophie 2, Control and Phoenix Point (non-listed game, it may be added to the list once they confirm trophies have been fixed with latest patch). Sophie has a really relaxing slice-of-life feel to it with zen inducing alchemy mechanic, playing on normal difficulty I've found a few bosses require you to pay attention but not necessarily min-max. I didn't like my first few hours with it as it looked and felt rough compared to Atelier Ryza, however it was very easy to get over the differences and accept it for the game it is. Hitman continues to be an excellent murder sandbox. My wife has had some giggles at the accidental deaths (exploding golf balls, wine presses etc) so it's a popular game to play at home. I am a bit baffled by the DLC though - I have the second Hitman and so have some content unlocked, however I don't have Hitman 2 GOLD so I'm locked out of 2 bonus levels and related DLC. Money is not really something I worry about with terms of spending on games, however, having to shell out £30 for two levels worth of content in order to 100% the game seems a bit silly so I'll have to think about this. If it were cheaper, if I didn't already have the majority of Hitman 2 content already unlocked or if there was a way I could upgrade Hitman 2 to Hitman 2 GOLD and have those bonuses passed along to Hitman 3 content, then I would feel differently about it. Control is a fun play. I rarely come back to games I've already completed but I wanted to see how it played on a PS5 and explore the DLC. I love anything with a 'SCP Foundation' feel and it's been fun to read all the lore and re-experience some of the metaphysical shocks, horrors and delights. Phoenix Point again, not on my list until I've confirmed if the trophy list has been fixed. I started this as my hard/long campaign game. I'm enjoying it so far, going against all advice and started with all the DLC turned on so a bit overwhelmed by the options but the learning curve isn't as bad as I feared. This week I hope to finish Control and either get through Outer Wilds in a weekend session or dig deep into another game. Mentally thinking about other titles to add to bring my challenge amount up to 15... I was thinking about a sigital board game like Ticket To Ride or Fury of Dracula and I'm waiting for the ultimate zen game Hardspace Shipbreaker to drop this month. Have a good week Spoiler Atelier Sophie 2 0% > 14% Control: Ultimate Edition 0% > 34% Disco Elysium 4% Genesis Alpha One 13% Hitman 3 4% > 24% Legend of Heroes: Cold Steel 3 0% Muv Luv: Alternate 20% Outer Wilds 0% Returnal 16% Salt and Sacrifice 22% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice 17% Shadow Tactics 48%

I played a couple of hours of SpongeBob and so far it's a pretty cool platformer. I saw a lot of people had this game on their lists so I won't spoil much of the game. I'm also trying to juggle some other games outside of this challenge (plus every day my summer schedule gets fuller and fuller with other stuff) but I'm fully committed to my list. I will continue on with SpongeBob next week but I have no idea how far I'll get. Til next time!

I have always been really bad at platformers, and the only thing I've gotten good at I feel like is the souls-inspired tenacity to just keep smashing my head into a wall until I make it through. I would have 100%, if not for the fact that as soon as I got to the end of Future Tense after working to get all boxes, I found I was at 144/145 boxes and had to put it down for now. Not on my list, but @TalesofGaming helped me get the platinum for Human Fall Flat! They still haven't fixed online multiplayer on PS5, so we had to use shareplay. Still have a couple of DLC to work through, but planning on getting Tales her plat first Just started working on Control, but I might actually go and take a detour on something really chill and short as life hasn't been the nicest recently.

Scoring Gold Cups is easier on this one as there is a bigger playerbase than on the Vita. Super Bomberman R Online Allready on the backlog since its release but due to the announced server shutdown, I want to get this one done asap. You need to have a friend with a premium account to get the Trophies. @Letenko22 is currently running a session for it and brings players together for the single 5 player Trophy. As a bonus we also had a run for the 6 player Trophy in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. My only other distraction last week was UFC Undisputed 2009. Popular Post YaManSmevz
Update #1 6/7/22 Okay, this is more like it! Firstly a few quick shouts: @Heather342, I hope your back is feeling okay after carrying your Discord team to victory? Corny jokes aside, props on that, great stuff! And Res 2 is a fine landmark plat, I'm really glad to hear that you're having a good time with it? @StilRh, thats so great that they're giving you the opportunity to put your mental health first. Sounds like you've got that old school "Sure my limbs keep falling off, but these bills won't pay themselves" mentality (I can relate), but everybody's got their limits. Hope you're doing okay! Also you and your relatively fresh copy of Hitman 3 have my envy? @YaManSmevz... oh wait, that's me? UnMetal was a surprisingly good time! Had a lot of laughs, enjoyed the retro Metal Gear stealth approach (despite the title assuring us that this game is not, in fact, metal in any way), and while it had its challenges here and there, was a pretty quick and breezy experience. Definitely recommended for retro game lovers! Speaking of breezy, Stick It to the Man flew by so fast that I'm really happy I spaced it out a bit. You really could beat this in a few hours, but it's such a charmingly goofy experience that I do suggest anybody playing it to take their time! It feels like wandering through a dark-but-wacky Saturday morning cartoon or something, and I got caught off guard by more than a few funny moments. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I'm adding Flipping Death as well! Just starting Guacamelee and I already adore it. The look, music, and Spanglish all speak to my heart! Also, I'd heard the term Metroidvania so many times but never really bothered to think about why a genre might be called that... kinda embarrassing how I never ventured into these types of games, because literally once I started moving Juan around I was like "OHHH, I get it!" Ay. Ya man is behind on the times, what can I say? Still tackling GTA V, so progress may not be as swift as I'd like. But the goal for the week is to get as far as I can in Guacamelee and knock out Flipping Death. Once GTA is done, I'll be a lot more confident about adding more games - if I can keep this rate up, then it shouldn't be an issue. I'm really excited to kick off another challenge with y'all! Already peeps are killin it and I'm about it? As always, thanks for reading and thanks for posting! 1. Transistor (4%) 2. Salt and Sanctuary (0%) 3. Stick It to the Man (0-->100%)✅️ 4. Guacamelee! Popular Post RoastedPeanut
Update #1 It's great to finally start! I had quite a bit of free time so far this week so I was able to knock out most of the Wonder Boy collection, the first bonus dungeon in Criminal Girls, and I finished off Eiyuden Chronicle. I quite enjoyed Eiyuden Chronicle, but I found a lot of the side quests to be a massive waste of time. Popular Post gruffiiti
First update from me for the summer edition. Everybody's Golf Haven't been playing this too much just yet but did manage to make it to Rank 4 so far. Also have my clubs upgraded enough that I can start to get Eagle chances more regularly. My plan is to play this off/on the next 2 months while focusing on other main games. Its just fun to pickup for an hour and play a couple quick rounds. Elden Ring After 3 months (and plenty of hours put into it) Elden Ring is finally completed. I'm not sure how any other game can top this as my GOTY as it was brilliant. Most of the game was played co-op with @Man of Inaction and it was a ton of fun. We cleared out each area pretty well but I'm sure a few things were missed as the game is massive and has so much content hidden around every corner. Oddly enough I didn't have too much trouble with Malenia (most peoples vote for hardest boss in the game) but struggled heavily on the Elden Beast. It added hours of attempt after attempt to 'Git Gud' but was worth it in the end as I finally killed it with just a sliver of health and no heals left. Beat the normal playthrough and going through hard, so things have slowed down a bit, some parts are pretty tough. I enjoyed the story though I can understand issues people had with it. Given the source, and the amount of player investment in the source, I don't think they could've done anything that would've made everyone happy. I liked the new twists, guess I'll need to invest in a PS5 if I want to see what happens next. Jump Force is going to be a slog but I still want to 100% it before the shutdown date just to be safe. Bomberman I probably wouldn't have bothered to put on my list if I knew how trivial it would be to boost. Thankfully I had a friend who picked up the premium pass on steam and was able to setup private lobbies via cross-play, so that was quick n' easy. If I hadn't played a public match and got two trophies when I first downloaded it, I could've been on the fastest achievers board.

Super Bomberman R Online (PS4) - 0% -> 100% [shutdown 12/1] 9.) Stick it to the Man (PS4) - 0% -> 4% Been focusing mostly on FF7R. Just note stacking doesn't count in the event.

Noted. I did the PS3 version of Stick it to the Man way before this event started but I won't bother with the Vita stack
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
First update from me. First few days of the month were spent playing Horizon Forbidden West, which I'm happy to say I'm done with, sans shitty DLC trophies I don't care about. No event games platinumed yet, however I've made a fair amount of progress on Planet Coaster - over halfway through the campaign now - and played a bit of Duke Nukem 3D. Spoiler IN PROGRESS: Duke Nukem 3D: World Tour - 2% Planet Coaster - 57% COMPLETED: NOT YET STARTED: Falcon Age - 28% Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son - 0% Pixel Ripped 1995 - 7% Bow to Blood - 44% Moss - 10% Neon City Riders - 0% Monster Sanctuary - 18% Forgotten Anne - 8% Cyberpunk 2077 - 1% Songbird Symphony - 9% Red Matter - 0% Edited June 10, 2022 by Darling Baphomet
