Popular Post Kadmar Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) FOR TOMB RAIDER OWNERS in Single Player mode, a lot of you have had issues with crashes and save file corruption. The game has 2 identifyable errors CE-34878-0: the first one occurs after you jump to a helicopter from an exploding tower (this crash doesn't corrupt your save). The second crash occurs if you fast travel to shipwreck beach camp (this crash corrupts your save because it turns off the game while the game is auto-saving. You won't be able to continue your progress unless you have a back-up). Both issues are clearly due to poor programming. To avoid losing your progress, here is what you have to do: 1/ Just use the 3 save slots every time you save in a camp. Press "options" during the game, choose "change save slot", select a new slot by pressing X on the slot, wait for the TR logo to blink on the bottom right of the screen and do it again until the 3 slots are identical (you can do that with only 2 slots if you want to keep the 3rd for another purpose like missable trophies attempts) DO NOT FAST TRAVEL TO SHIPWRECK BEACH. IF YOU FAST TRAVEL TO SHIPWRECK BEACH, THE GAME WILL CRASH AND WILL DESTROY YOUR SAVE (VERY BAD PROGRAMMING). COMPLETE SHIPWRECK BEACH AND BUNKER 100% BEFORE CONTINUING THE STORY!! IF YOU DON'T COMPLETE SHIPWRECK BEACH 100% AND WAIT UNTIL THE END TO FAST TRAVEL TO THIS LOCATION TO COMPLETE IT, THE GAME WILL CRASH AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE 100% COMPLETION OF THE GAME. 2/ If the game crashes on you while you are playing and corrupt the save in your current slot, simply reload the game and a save file from another slot. You will only lose the progress from the last save and the moment of crash. (If you didn't follow my recommendation and don't have a back-up, you will have to restart the game from scratch because your save file is dead and not recoverable.) 3/ Then from the healthy save, overwrite the corrupted slot (this will be done naturally if you always save on the 3 slots.) But i travelled back to ShipWreck after i finished the story and nothing crashed or froze [didnt even know that was a issue] but I always back up, since your mp stats are saved offline and im already rank 43, and selfboosting is so boring lol. I'm afraid you're mistaken, friend : in the first weeks following the game's release, there were TONS of bugs and glitches in the single player mode, some of them wouldn't even let you progress through the story. Fortunately, they were fixed later, but it's a shame to see that the PS4 version still suffers from that poor programming. thanks for the info i never knew about that, but i don't really remember a lot's of people complaining about such a thing on ps3 / 360 and windows versions. these problems is not really the systems faults, it really is the the poor programming. I deleted my saves, have nine in the cloud either, I deleted the game, reinstalled it, I get the error on start up. I even reformatted my ps4. I traded the disc. Nothing. Is this the game install /download itself thats defective or my PS4? This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. And Playstation chat support instructed me to delete the save file but I've been reading that i could have possibly "repaired " the then corrupted file in safe mode somehow. I have no clue how this came to be, because all I did was delete the game from my ps4 and then reinstall it. It didn't even work the first time because the corrupted file was still there.so I'm not sure what fixed it, all I know is I can continue in the game now. I deleted the game and it was still glitched. Today I went into the game and my save file was back and continued playing with no loss of location. So fucking pissed that developers are this fucking incompetent in this day and age. Really can't be fucked deleting and reinstalling 15GB worth of game because of something so easily preventable and through no fault of my own. Absolutely fuming.
