Since @Rebourne07 made me do some research for the Pinball and 4X categories, I will post what I believe that will be my selections for my missing ones (I was mainly looking at stuff that I was interested and were relatively easy to 100%).

 

4X - Thea (Minecraft looks like it's to much co-op for me, and this is a 3/10 on a trophy guide.. really the worst category for me, since I was never big on this type of games..)

 

Business - Atelier Fris or Atelier Lydie and Suelle or Port Royale 3 (the 2 first obviously are my takes, but I don't own either and I have a big Atelier backlog... Port Royale 3 is an UR platinum and was given on PS+ ages ago..).

 

Pinball - Sega Mega Drive Collection! (Definitely looks the easiest option.. I will try to pick up a copy soon, since there are a few around here for about 20€).

 

RTS - New Little King's Story (another ps+ game from ages ago, looks easy enough..)

 

Romance - Yu-No (VN, not much to say lol).

I platinum'd Rainbow today for my Quiz/Trivia game. Normally I'd be ashamed of such a platinum, but I have a 3 year old that is learning colors and this game was (and will continue to be) a great learning tool for her! It was super cool to use video games as a legitimate learning experience. Reminded me of Math Blaster back in the day. 7 more genres left for me! Anyone have any suggestions for Business, Non-fiction, Romance or especially Pinball? I'm not sure what to play there.

The list leaves a lot to be desired.  Somehow my plat for GTA: San Andreas on PS3 doesn't count for Business, yet the plat for PS4 and PS5 does.  Also, Legends of War - a game literally commissioned by the History channel about specific WWII battles - doesn't count as a Historical game, but Shadow of Mordor, a LOTR game, does... Also seems like the Romance tag is just an extension of Erotic.  The Mass Effect games should all qualify for the Romance tag, yet none get it, and a game like Mafia III somehow gets an Erotic tag, lol.

 

With all that said, here's my list.  It's incomplete, and will probably forever stay so.

After doing some research and listening to some feedback I've updated the rules in the main post:

• There is no room for interpretation on what genre/theme a game is**. This information is determined by IGDB, not me or any other personal classification. If the game lists the genre/theme on the game details page here on PSNProfiles, it can be used. If it doesn't, it cannot.
• **The only exceptions to this that I've found are 1) If one region/system of a game lists it as X genre, but another region/system does not...you can use the genre even if you platinumed a region/system that doesn't have it since it is the same game. 2) If IGDB itself shows a game as X genre, but PSNProfiles doesn't reflect that, you can still use it as that genre.

This should resolve most common issues:

• Yoku's Island Express is a Pinball game, because it shows as such on IGDB even though it's not listed as Pinball on PSNProfiles.
• Creature in the Well (NA) is a Pinball game like it's AS and JP counterparts.
• Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS3) is a Business game like it's PS4 and PS5 counterparts.
• Etc. Let me know if there are other common exceptions like these and I'll add these to the main post.

Anyone affected by these exceptions can update their lists or post updates if they want. Thanks for pointing these out guys

I checked IGDB and saw that Amnesia Memories has a Romance tag on that website but not here on psnp. I'll put Code Realize on my list for Romance then @Rebourne07

 

Also checked Code Realize Guardians of Rebirth and 7'scarlet on IGDB and they too miss the Romance tag on psnp. Pls add them too @BlindMango

Pinball is the genre that the most people are missing, including me. So I tried out Pirates Pinball tonight and let me tell you...it is hard as hell. Don't be fooled by the higher average completion percentages of the Super Powerup Pinball games, they are very difficult if you're a pinball noob like me so beware. Sounds to me from reading this forum that the best one to go for if you just want to knock out that genre is Creature in the Well. Yeah it doesn't show as a Pinball game...but the JP and AS versions do and they are the same game so the NA version counts too even without the tag. Happy hunting guys.

I haven't played Creature in the Well, but Yoku's Island Express is a legitimately good game that I don't think you would regret playing. I remember it outstaying its welcome a little bit with the last few trophies, but nothing egregious.

Common concensus for Pinball seems to be either Creature in the Well or Yoku's Island Express.

When checking my games for my list I noticed one weird thing: Outlast 2 and 1979 Revolution are considered Erotic for some reason?

 

The definition of "erotic" is: "Relating to or tending to arouse sexual desire or excitement" and I fail to see said definition applying to either of those games since the former features body horror and touches the delicate subject of child rape and the latter is about the horrors of Sharia law (rape might be present as well, I don't remember).

 

Now, I'm not one of those fragile Twitter dwellers but when "Big Titty Anime Girl: The Game" shares the same category with real life genocide and religious extremism, something is... odd to say the least, lol.

The game has no info about genre and theme on IGDB which is the source of info for psnp. I too was thinking of playing this game. the best choices are either Yoku's Island Express or Creature in the Well for pinball category

If anyone searching for a game in the Pinball category, check out Shiny. It is a bad platformer that has nothing to do with pinball and it can get a little frustrating at times, but it is in the Pinball category, it is relatively short (ca. 2 - 3 hours), there is a 100% guide on youtube (the name of the channel is Anthony Barontini), the game is from Soedesco and like many of their games it is often on sale for under 1 € and the platinum is unlockable since september 2020.
