It gets worse - I had also missed that Sportsfriends was a non-Plat game, so I've swapped it out for Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale for "Party" Theme...

Platinum'd Siegecraft Commander as my 'Real Time Strategy (RTS)' game. Y'all inspired me to get back to progressing on this challenge. This genre was one I was worried about cause I've never been into strategy games but I enjoyed this one. It's cool cause all the trophies are just for doing miscellaneous things, as opposed to x matches or x wins. Once you get the unique controls and gameplay down, it goes pretty smoothly. Just 3 genres left to go

The appeal runs dry very quick. I did everything with extra controllers and AI. the trophies can be kinda luck based due to the fact you need to get awarded badges and those can sometimes be random. i did notice though when my second controller got a badge associated with a trophy the trophy popped on my account...so that eliminated half the work for me because i essentially set up a few controllers and worked towards trying to increase the RNG of certain badges at the same time, at one point i got three doing it this way.

Patapon done for the music genre.  That pic was me until I got the hang of this one which took some time.  Playing with headphones made all the difference.  Even after the inital learning curve, tried playing without them, but it wasn't happening.  Grinded a lot yesterday, so now the damn songs have been stuck in my head all day today.  ? 

 

Will probably do Monopoly Madness next for the card / board game since it's on ps++   Got a couple PS5 games I'm working on , then will rotate back to the PS4 to utilize the extra controllers for that one.  Thanks @Beth Medusa  for the tip.

@Mavmathics For 4X I recommend Minecraft. For Visual Novel I recommend Code Realize on Vita if you have a Vita. It's a legitimately good game with a great story. It was a PSPlus game a while back. If not, there's lots of them that are 1/10 difficulty so even if you pick a bad one it'll be quick and easy.

I'll recommend Islanders for 4X - cool, chill little game that I really came to like a lot!

 

Doki Doki is an excellent pick for either one - Personally I'd lock it in for Visual Novel... because that leaves one of the Life is Strange games for Romance ?

 

Toem looks the business, so that seems a great one for Kids.

 

For Music - I'd actually heartily recommend Sayonara Wild Hearts - it's not actually tagged as Music on PSNP, but it does have a music tag on IGDB, so all it would take is a request of the Game Info Team to rescan that one, and it would be eligible.

Steins;Gate is an amazing story about love and time travel.

Danganronpa is a mystery game about murder investigations.

As said @Rebourne07 Code Realize Guardian of Rebirth is a good love story in an alternative victorian England / Cyberpunk like world.

Virtue's Last Reward is also worth a shot if you like puzzle heavy mystery games.

Islanders is one of my favorites for 4x too, looks like a fun game.

Sadly Life is Strange 1 isnt tagged as Romance, already has that as plat. Doki Doki propably one of favorites for Romance too, since i found a VN i already have platted.

For Kids i started playing Marvel Lego Super Heroes, got one cheap on ebay. Loved the Lego Star Wars games on PS2, but not a big Marvel fan but the game seems fine so far.

Dont  have a Vita unfortunately. Minecraft is on my hidden Games list, just too many (unobtainable) DLC Trophys and i kinda care about my completion. Also dont really like the game.

Quick update:

Already had Chicken Police (PS4) platted and just saw that the PS5 Version is tagged as VN, so i guess that counts too.

Also platted Grand Ages Medieval which can be counted for Business or 4x, since i propably gonna play Islanders for 4x i put it on Business.

Game was okayish, normally i like games like that but imo it was a bit too much simulation and too less action. 6/10 for me.

 

Furthermore i started playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes for the kids genre and ordered the german game "Wer weiss den sowas" for the Quiz/Trivia genre.

Only thing i still dont know what to play is Musical, propably my least favorite genre of all haha. But still havent checked any games for that.
