I was looking for the game to offset my limited free time. See, I make a LOT of money. I have 8 mortgages, 6 wives and 9 million kids. Because of this, I just do NOT have free time. I only have 20 hours of free time a week MAX. This means that I need to really curate what I do with my limited availability of recreational time. I respect the devs for making a sequel so quickly for just really busy people like myself. 

 

With the rarity being so high, that's a guaranteed sign of quality. I'll be joining you lot shortly.

C;mon, we are all simply make fun of those games. Nobody is attacking people who are actually "playing" them (or not intentionally at least I guess).

We are on the forum on the site which is tracking trophies. Some of us want to "catch them all" or simply use this site to track our stats.

 

99% of us well know that those games are simply "P4P" - Pay 4 Plat. If somebody is buying it to actually play it, probably has no clue about the title or found it on some discount and took for few cents.

 

If I would be still chasing the top position on LB, I would be simply buying ALL of them: TURBO edit, ENCHANCED edit, REMAKE edit, POO edit, etc. I would BEG devs to produce more of those.

 

But I stopped. 1) I started to count my money - I spent way too much on such craps. 2) I spent also a lot of time on checking PSNP every 15 mins if there is some new 1-3 mins crap to plat. 3) I was checking (and buying) every possible stack of those. Enough.

 

And I simply decided to stop. I will NEVER say that "Player XXXX is a trophy who.... addict  And look at this loser paying for those craps". No. Their money, their time - not my problem.

 

I also quit, since I simply realized that there is +-20 Users who will continue to buy/play everything that they can plat in seconds to be on top of LB.
And I will simply not gain any single position even if I would be doing the same. So... 

Now I just can simply laugh seeing this neverending flood of games like this. But only GAMES. 

 

Hurting somebodys feelings because we are making fun of THE GAME, not even mentioning specific person playing it? C'mon...

 

And I have this strange feeling that it will be even worse (Can it be actually?  ).

You can't come into a public forum, post a divisive 'joke' and then expect everybody to side with you and everybody else to ignore it. I don't go into the threads of games I haven't played and have no intention of playing and trash that game and the people that play it just because I can. I totally could though, but that would make me an asshole so I don't do it. If you're looking to stir the pot and post divisive opinions, you can't get mad at others when they call you out on it.

My issue with cheap excuse games for a quick plat is that the ps store, especially in the low price range that used to be a good place to look for small but usually fun indie games, and the retro category, is chock full with shovelware shit that only really dishonest people would unironically call games, as the obvious purpose for it was to sell trophies to people. The leaderboard is long dead anyway so I don't care about that in theory, if you want to buy 1000 5 minute platinums and make all your normal plats disappear between it then more power to you, but in practice it means having to siff through the sewage while on the lookout for decent games, and that is something I do care about. I stop complaining about it once these games can be shoved into their own category, so instead of filling up the retro genre for example they should be tagged with their own tag, could be called "shovelware", "fast games", "bare mininum effort", or "trophy rain" for all I care, and give us an option to hide all games that have this tag from appearing in any other category.

Thanks for having logic! It honestly feels like this shit has gone on for so long people have just gotten use to it. No longer is seeing a game with 15 plats or 20 1 minutes plats every week abnormal. People have just gotten use to it and probably love the fact they can get high in the leaderboards without effort.

No one is taking offense to the jokes about the games. Including all the jokes that DID happen with God of War. It was when people chimed in with making the jokes about people who like God of War that people called them out.

My post was me mocking common themes of justifications used here. That type of behavior is worth calling out. In a previous thread, I mentioned that if you have that little free time; it might be worth doing something you like (because this particular individual mentioned they didn't even like what they were doing). 

 

I mean, I'm fine. My recreational behavior is also free to be scrutinized - though I feel most would have a hard time doing that. One person took a jab at me recently for having so few plats (not even a topic about these types of games). However, I wasn't insecure enough to justify it with a response like "I just have so little free time. =/"

If you think back to the 90s. Street Fighter II is arguably one of the the most famous 1 on 1 beat em ups ever made.

Absolutely nobody though would have defended Capcom if in 1993, they  had released Street Fighter II AND Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES on the same day.

 

This would have been bad for not only consumers but also Capcom as well. I mean who is going to be the non Turbo version?

 

 

Jumping Fries is the 4th game in this series so likely there will be TURBO versions of the other games. LIke the taco and Pizza ones.

It's fun to have fun and banter about these games being released. But we are starting to enter the territory of, these games are not good long term for the people buying them.

There's at least 5-10 of these games coming out every week now, and that number is probably going to increase, sooner rather than later.

Since a long time ago I stopped checking this games, I just knew they were easy but didn't knew what they were about, so with this thread I got curious and checked a video guide... And this is sad...

 

Honest question because I'm out of the loop, there is a game like "Coooking Pizza" or something where you just press a button to put a pizza in the oven and you get the trophies just waiting for the pizza to get done, and after... I don't know... 60 secs (too much?), the pizza is done and you get the plat without doing anything else? If this doesn't exist surely will be soon...
