Money - I.P, staff costs , how to make a profit on the website, updates, whilst @Sly Ripper may do this in his spare time , whether he takes a profit or not is to be confirmed but buying this website would make no sense to Sony unless they were getting something back from it…

Sony has a history of repeatedly messaging not to take trophies seriously. They don't even make the trophy information easily and freely available to trophy websites, people need to figure that out on their own and they shut down people who do it too much. Sony isn't going to join in.

True, because I checked PSNTL shows TSW2 as impossible and has a real shady owner. I’m sure if I was the first to complete it, the useless paranoid fuck would ban me for cheating.

Yes PSNTL does have more cheaters than PSNP, but I would still say that most of the profiles tracked there are legitimate and not cheated. PSNTL does have some things done better than PSNP that I wish PSNP would implement, such as auto updating every users profiles, and listing what games online trophies are no longer obtainable when looking at a games trophy list. Let's not act like PSNP does not have hundreds if not thousands of hacked accounts (mostly PS3 games) on the leaderboards. Look at the top 10 fastest achievers on PSNP for GTA V (PS3), Call of Duty Black Ops II, and there are still many autopopped cheated trophies on games such as Fuel, and SOCOM Confrontation that I still see on the leaderboards here at PSNP.

The fix is coming, it's not a logical change. The database was designed for speed/efficiency based around what data we could/could not get from PSN and server hardware limitations. Neither of these are really a concern any more and the database has been migrated over the years to reflect this. The fix will be part of a much larger database overhaul with new hardware/infrastructure set up.
