Classic games you want a re-release of?

What ancient classic games would you want to be re-released?

Typically games that aren't exactly easy to access.

Have wished for a very long time now that they would release all the Commander Keen and the original 2d side scrolling Duke Nukem games on console in some form.

Don't have to touch a thing, id just love to be able to play them again.

Going after trophies for these games would be great.

Mostly a bunch of PS2 games I never got a chance to play, and never will legally because they never released here in Europe, or they're too stupid expensive for me to care enough.

Off the top my head, some games I'd like to see ported/remastered are:

Xenosaga trilogy

Dawn of Mana

Dual Hearts

Radiata Stories

Kuon

The other .hack games that are stuck on PS2

Steambot Chronicles

Tales of Legendia

Unlimited Saga

Rule of Rose

Wild Arms 4 and 5, and Alter Code F

Other than that, I'd love to see Koudelka and the other Shadow Hearts games brought to modern platforms. I've played them all already, and still own them physically, but it'd be nice having them on something more modern, and with trophies/achievements.

Also Valkyrie Profile. It's nice that this seems to be getting kind of a revival with Valkyrie Elysium, but it doesn't seem like it's quite what I'd want from a VP game.

And finally, all Suikoden games. Surprised Konami hasn't ported any of them yet considering all they really do nowadays is port their old games.

I'm still hoping that after the relative success of the G.U series that they will redo the original quadrilogy.

I played the hell out of them as a kid, but yeah they are crazy expensive these days.

I don't think they have aged well game play wise though.

I too always wanted to play unlimited saga.

I remember finding the case for it somewhere as a kid but it didn't have the games.

Always looked cool.

Also to add another game to the list I would love to be able to play Phantom Brave on console.

Last release was on psp I think?

Crazy how they have focused on Disgaea and left pantom brave behind.

I'm hoping that with them re-releasing Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song this winter, Unlimited Saga may have a shot at also being re-released at some point. That, and Saga Frontier 2, then that'll be almost all the Saga games available on modern consoles.

Phantom Brave was ported to Nintendo Switch last year in the Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 collection. I think its last release before that was on PC, and I'm pretty sure the Switch release has all the same content as that release.

It's been nice seeing NIS re-releasing some of their old games onto Switch, just wish they didn't seem like kind of half baked ports, as both collections released so far have had their fair share of issues unfortunately (there was a game breaking bug in Makai Kingdom in the 2nd collection recently, where you couldn't progress any further than chapter 5 I think. It's been patched now, but there's still a cutscene in Soul Nomad in the first collection that always crashes unless you skip it).

Oh, I wasn't aware they ported it to the switch.

I don't own a switch which is how that slipped under the a radar for me.

I absolutely loved the storyline, Sprout is the goat.

The transformer games and Arkham Origins I've always wanted to play but the online trophies have kept me from it.

Lollipop chainsaw is good, but the fact it's essentially a slower version of devil may cry in terms of game play gets on my nerves.

Another couple to add to the list would be Mischief Makers from the N64

Also the 8 bit versions of the OG Sonic the hedgehog... They have a sort of charm about them compared to the 16 bit versions everyone knows.

On one hand, this would be amazing. On another hand, I don't have another 1,000 hours to get lost in. 🙄

True Crime should have been bigger. Then True Crime Hong Kong became Sleeping Dogs i think... which never generated a sequel either.

Simpsons Hit & Run, hell yes

I'm gonna come clean and say it; TimeSplitters. Like, the whole ass series 😆 I played those games so much as a kid and still wish I could play them now. Other games I want as a re-release are; MediEvil (all of them), Monster Hunter Tri (so I can play it again without dropping money on a new Wii or Wii-U) and last but not least, Fallout: New Vegas. I know it's easily accessible, BUT in my defense I would like to play it on my PS4 as I'm too lazy to start up my pc just for NV.

Time splitters is such an underrated series.

Not enough people played it.

That actually reminds me of another one...

Get force gemini.

- Parasite Eve

- Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge

Not the most ancient, or least accessible games, but that would be my answer.

I honestly thought me and my dad were the only ones that knew about TimeSplitters lol. Genuinely wish those games not only came back but also got remakes/remasters. What a wet dream 😂

Jet Force Gemini tho... what a game

It has a niche following, but not massive.

I've seen talks about people wanting remasters of them but it's always been an issued with developers rights ect.

I believe free radical design has confirmed a new one is in development.

But thay have said that before...
