Question about the game?

Of what’ve heard, the final boss is quite difficult to beat .. and in order to get the trophy, you have to beat him on Normal difficulty or higher unless if your game’s patch 1.07 or below you can beat him on Story difficulty. 
 

So I this true or not? And if it’s true .. can I get it if I play the retail version of the game? Since it has the old patch in it?

If I remember correctly the last boss wasn't that hard. The McCallum fight is much harder, but nothing too hard.

 

In the unpatched version there is no Story mode. That mode came with a patch much later together with a hard mode. Normal mode is the mode you're stuck with.
