Removed from leaderboards because of auto pop trophies

It’s not so much the leaderboards for me, more so CRT flat out not following their own guidelines for what constitutes a flag.

Dude I can tell you now it doesn't matter what you say in a dispute their still going to ban you from the leaderboards. They allow these garbage 3 min platinum games to infect the leaderboards because its considered "legit", but don't dare have an issue with a single game outside of those, or the lynch mob will come for you and will never lift your ban no matter what proof you bring. So I honestly wouldn't worry about it. The leaderboards are a joke anyways with most accounts littered with hundreds of pay for platinum games.

I agree that the leaderboards themselves are comical; and the people at the top are all racing to the bottom - but you left a lot of context out of your dispute(s). Why don't go ahead and link us the dispute(s) of yours?

Theirs no point, its already been closed because I told the CRT their dispute process was a joke after I gave valid evidence to my claim. The whole process is just in place so this community can give you a virtual stoning even though ive got almost 400 other games played on my account that have never had an issue besides the hacked lobby I was unknowingly on in GTA5.

I must say I’ve enjoyed this thread. Reading through it all has been informative and given me my true crime fix. I really do feel like this guy has had his day in court.

 

We have heard from the hardware experts, software experts, we’ve had mountains of hard and circumstantial evidence which was all stacked against him and the verdict was not guilty. It’s just like the British Justice System.

 

Humans tend to repeat certain behaviours that are rewarding. I really can’t see this guy cheating 13 years ago and never doing it again. It’s not like he would have been penalised or punished back then, so why wouldn’t he do this for other games? As has been previously posted, not a lot was understood of the trophy system and the leaderboards weren’t a thing.. so I’m struggling to see the ‘motive’ here as well. 
 

What I do find pathetic is the haughty lynch mob. Not only have you all ganged up on him and picked him to pieces, but as always start throwing stones at those who choose a different gaming style to you. Putting those who play ezpz platinums in the same boat as cheaters. It’s insulting. I’m sick of being inadvertently vilified on every post by egocentric people with a superiority complex. I’m not gonna bother to go on these peoples profiles, but there’s never anything special on there. You’d think theyd have played the hardest games, got 1,000,000 ultra rares by the way they belittle others. 

I’m going to be really honest. I find some ratalaika games hard. I struggle with a lot of games cause I don’t have the skills for them. Some of them do challenge me. Some of them have taken me 18 months of non stop trying to complete - no joke! 
 

and I expect there are others out there who are not as skilled. Or they may have limitations or disabilities and they can’t cope with harder games. And I’m sick of you picking them all to shreds. Some people don’t play them to get high on the leaderboards. Some people don’t care about leaderboards!

 

All you judgemental idiots are losers. And the only reason you’re crying is because you’ll never be noticed on a leaderboard - why is that? Cause you can’t move with the times, swallow your pride and get some ‘easy’ platinums to bump up your score because it’s too beneath you. Quit bloody whining about it and if you want to be up there put your hand in your pocket and play some easy stuff to get you up there! Stop insulting everybody else because you have a really small……. Profile.

Doesn't matter if it wasn't understood back then, people still get flagged for using unencrypted saves to auto-pop trophies in 2008-2009. This is no different, and it violates the rules of the site to stay on the leaderboards.

Attacking people for doing something different to yourself and belittling them is quite different from calling someone out for being judgemental. Trying to stick up for yourself amongst bullies is no bad thing. I will always root for the ‘little guy’ and I will always stand by the people who are constantly berated and vilified by people like you. 

I didn’t say whether he had or hadn’t done something that was against the rules. He stated his case and he won. What I didn’t like was every man and his dog jumping on him and then attacking other people who play different games. Why should some people get to go around offending people, but I’m not allowed to pick them up on it? Yeah I’m such a hypocrite ?

There was only a couple of people who started the EZPZ complaining; a vast number of the posts were regarding evidence that says something’s up. Using your logic, if someone who is somehow disenfranchised or otherwise the ‘little guy’ commits murder, and 30 people have and present evidence, whether it be circumstantial or hard, and 5 people say “well, murder is bad, but did you see that shoplifter over there? Damn shoplifters.” then you’d leap to to side of the murderer and be concerned about dogpiling? (Yes, that’s hyperbolic. No, I don’t care.)

 

Further, none of that is related to the topic. It’s about whether or not OP cheated in this instance. People point out the inconsistencies or provide evidence that says “signs point to yes,” the story suddenly changes, making excuses. Additional evidence is provided, the story shifts again. To me it doesn’t matter if he did it again later, or what the motive was (since the only acceptable motive for violating rules - be it as inconsequential as rising in the leaderboards or as important as murder - in my mind is self-defense); it matters that in this instance, which is the one under discussion, something hinky is going on, and the OP is being incredibly evasive and suspicious. The verdict didn’t go that way; so be it. Irritating, but no real skin off my nose, and I suspect the great majority - both those who’ve posted here and those who skimmed it, said “not worth my time” and moved on - would likely agree.

 

So far as hypocrisy… yes. You are a hypocrite. You’re judgmental and catty as all hell. The degree and circumstances are mostly irrelevant. If you do a thing that you condemn in others, that’s hypocrisy.

After being OK here to use script for the FFIX trophies I don't doubt anything, what's right and wrong here depends solely on the mood of the one in charge since the big boss doesn't give two tits and gravy about what happens here anymore.

In this instance, I couldn’t care less if the guy cheated or didn’t. The mods let him keep it and I was satisfied with that outcome. I wouldn’t have lost sleep if he had to hide it. I don’t care. I don’t concern myself with what others do and go round belittling people without cause. I came to read a post and was fascinated how it was unfolding and then bam! ‘If you play ezpzs you’re just the same as a cheater’ etc etc. 
 

What annoys me the most is the attitude of some people that go around life thinking they’re better than others. And on here, there’s a whole clique of you who go round berating others. We want to use this site too without getting slagged off every other post. Look how you’ve taken offence because someone’s said something about your preferences. Imagine getting slagged off on most of the posts you read! 
 

Maybe that’s why I’m ‘catty’ as hell. Because if I’m not knocking out crypt of the necrodancer or super meat boy I’m not worthy of respect and I’m constantly bitched about.
