Gretchen27
0 - Up (PS3) [110] 1 - The Last Campfire (PS4) [11341] 2 3 - Astro's Playroom (PS5) [11753] 4 5 6 7 8 - Need for Speed Heat (PS4) [9908] 9 - Asdivine Hearts (PSV) [5669] Asdivine Hearts for #9 Started this game specifically for this event thinking it would be a short RPG. Turns out it took me 30hrs. Not that I'm complaining, I enjoyed it, ended up playing not much else but this. Had a bunch of trouble with my old memory card in my Vita corrupting & thought I'd lose my save. I did lose all my screenshots, but somehow managed to keep the saves. I'm going to try & read A Winter's Daydream this weekend. I know it's slated at a 2-3hr read but I work this weekend, & more importantly, I don't want it to steal my fastest platinum spot.

I wish my time with FF8 were more positive, but I did not like the experience much. The combat system was rather complex and punished you for using certain fundamental elements of it, which was boggling to me as a design choice. I didn't find the story all that enthralling either, just didn't captivate me in the same way as FF7 did on any element. But alas, it was so fun participating in this event again and seeing everyone's efforts progress!!! Congrats to those who have already finished and those who are in the home stretch!!

I didn't find the story all that enthralling either, just didn't captivate me in the same way as FF7 did on any element. Funny, I feel the same way about FF7 that you do about FF8, only for different reasons: The graphics were wretched(but I forgive this as this was Final Fantasy's first 3D game and first 3D games are always going to be polygon model messes, look at Super Mario 64! ), the story was ridiculous and focused way too much on Cloud(the only part I liked was the two side quests you did with Yuffie, who is my favorite character, and I didn't like her profile picture, toothy grins don't sit well with me) and there was no way to remove random encounters which was frustrating without the cheats the remake provided and then you have to fight randoms to get enough AP for your Materia. It was very boring, and I had read a few guides on powering up in FF8 and the story was more interesting even if it made little sense halfway through. The level scaling prevents you from just grinding for levels, which is a bad habit most RPGs enjoyed having. Still to each their own. In the end, we survived and that's all that matters. I got all my ten games done and so did you.

Popular Post Han_the_Dragon
Ok, so I managed to finish the 10 games! and without doing TOEM, since I decided to take my chances with One Piece World Seeker instead.. Still not at 100% in OP:WS, but since I only needed the platinum, that's done! And I end up with 4 DLC to clean up for the DIDN'T HALF-ASS IT! event! The Final List (10/10): 0 - Disgaea 6 Complete • EU • PS5 (16870) 1 - Whispering Willows • PSVita • EU (3671) 2 - One Piece: World Seeker (8852) 3 - The Walking Dead: The Final Season • EU (8023) 4 - Soul Hackers 2 • PS5 (17654) 5 - Super Bomberman R Online (13015) 6 - Quest of Dungeon (5736) 7 - Kotodama (9077) 8 - The Walking Dead: The New Frontier (5698) 9 - Syberia 3 (6029) @eigen-space Thanks for the event, was quite nice as always! (and this time with the exception of Whispering Willows and Kotodama, I really didn't had to go out of my way and did play 2 of my priority games for the year, along with finely finishing the A-Z platinum club challenge and finishing the Tell Tales Walking Dead games!)
blu3st4rdust305
Still plugging along at my UR goal here. Up to 8 completions. 3 completed in 2 weeks. Can I get 2 more done in 6 days? Maybe not.... but we shall see. My choices, should they run on the shorter side of their completion times, are likely my best options for completion in time. 0 - Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion [6530] 1 - Thumper [5411] 2 - Oddworld: New N Tasty 3 - Operation Warcade [7493] 4 - Sonic Forces [6774] 5 - Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition 6 - Lone Survivor [2136] 7 - Littlebigplanet 3 [3127] 8 - Rez Infinite [5388] 9 - Lords of the Fallen [3049]
Popular Post Geridian
Hello people, this will be my first and only comment for this event. First, I want to thank the event team consisting of eigen-space, Jens and Man of Inaction for their work. Without those three, nobody would see this event topic because it simply would not exist, nobody would track the stats, and nobody would create the awesome batches every year. Here the list of games I played for this year's event: 8260 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey 17011 - Stray (PS5) 2532 - LEGO The Hobbit (PS4) 513 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal 514 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay 515 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 3: Lair of the Leviathan 516 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 4: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood 517 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God 2198 - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril (Vita) 5399 - RIGS: Mechanized Combat League My opinion about the games: Quote The way I played 8260 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey, it really was an odyssey ?. I needed 1 year 6 months for the platinum. Reasons where, that I restarted this game three times, two times in 2021 and one time in 2022. First time I started this game sometime after I finished Origins and lost interest very fast. Second time I restarted the game to give it a fresh chance, but again lost interest after being in the middle of the storyline. Then I decided in 2022 to finally get it done and to start fresh again. This time I had more fun with the game. But since my goal was to do everything the game has to offer and clear all possible location objectives, I was in for a very long ride. Also, I again played some other games in between. Story was okay, gameplay the same like it was in Origins. I also played 17011 - Stray (PS5), like others since it was free with PS+. Imo a graphical masterpiece. And the animation of the cat protagonist is just awesome. Everything in this game just feels fresh. Collectibles and other misc trophy requirements are not so bad. I know that there is a discussion ongoing because of Can't Cat-ch Me and I also needed around 1,5 hours to get it done. It seems that most players forget that practising some small sections of a game for time period X is something anybody of us should be used to by now. Maybe ask the players which play Soulsborne games first? They sometimes practise the same boss for hours and never give up. So just git gud and stop whining. 2532 - LEGO The Hobbit (PS4) was also something I played. One of the older LEGO games where you do not need additional 40 hours to clear the world map, after the story was completed and all levels where done in freeplay. Still have the PS3 version of this game in my physical backlog, we will see when I play this. 513, 514, 515, 516, 517 - Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 1-5 was something I enjoyed very much, although I never played the two original monkey island games (Yes, yes, I know, shame on me). It is just the typical old Tealltale game style we all now and love. 2198 - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril (Vita) was one of the LEGO VITA games which was in my physical backlog for years. Finally decided to play it, because it matched two criteria: 1) I needed a game with a 8 in the end. 2) It was short, according to guides. 3) Since I had many games in my physical backlog and needed some space for new games, I decided to complete and then sell games. And I were able to sell all LEGO VITA games I finished very fast for 10€ a game without making any minus. But, back to this game: I had more fun with the LEGO Movie VITA game and some levels in this Marvel VITA game where just plain stupid, although all of the levels being very short in itself. Still nothing I really enjoyed. 5399 - RIGS: Mechanized Combat League was a game I never had on my radar before, but since I played and finished all mp related trophies of Killzone Shadow Fall, Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept and Killzone: Mercenary, I also decided to try out RIGS. While playing this game, I thought it would have been a candidate for e-sport, but since VR games are more a niche product it had been great if this game had received a "Play without VR" patch. Got the MP trophies of RIGS done in time and finsihed it. Currently it is my most UR platinum. That is all people. Have fun and stay safe.

All games were great, especially The Last Campfire & Asdivine Hearts. & I managed at least one game per system. Jens
Last day of GbN is upon us! I'm planning on doing the last full update of the spreadsheet on Sunday evening, just so there's enough time for every single profile to update on this site. So if you're working on those last numbers, make sure to sync your trophies on PSN ASAP, or @ me if you're experiencing any syncing issues. Maybe it's also a good opportunity to check your own progress one last time, mistakes are definitely in the realm of possibilities. There's a chance that I'll do another update during next week, but with me not being 100% sure about it just yet, better safe than sorry.
gruffiiti
Finished my list even though I left that last game way too long. Thanks for running the event again! Her Majesty's SPIFFING - Goofy little point and click game that Ive been meaning to play for awhile. Felt more like a demo to me then a complete game though. Kona - Game is set in 1970s Quebec Canada and was pretty decent for a walking/survival lite sim. I was annoyed by all the blowing snow and the less than stellar visibility, but then I realized it added huge to the ambience of the game. 0 - Maquette [12420] 1 - Stray [17011] 2 - Her Majesty's SPIFFING [5672] *New 3 - Lost Words: Beyond the Page [12643] 4 - Everybody's Golf [6544] 5 - 35MM [15455] 6 - Deliver Us the Moon [16776] 7 - The Adventure Pals [7447] 8 - Afterparty [9778] 9 - Kona [14959] *New
Lojtana
I wasn't sure if I'd be able to complete all games because I've been swamped with work these last few weeks, but I just finished my last game. I would have liked to tackle a bit more of my backlog instead of opting for shorter games that are available with PS+ Extra, but as I said, I just didn't have the time. Anyways, here is my final list: 13110 - Final Fantasy VII Remake [PS5] 17011 - Stray [PS5] 15162 - The Artful Escape [PS5] 12643 - Lost Words: Beyond the Page 13624 - I Am Dead [PS5] 13625 - I Am Dead [PS4] 10656 - Telling Lies 15217 - The Artful Escape [PS4] 13478 - Last Stop [PS5] 17269 - What Remains of Edith Finch [PS5] Thanks again to eigen-space and Jens for creating and overseeing this event. As always, this has been a blast, especially checking out the games everyone played and getting a few inspirations for new games to play. Also, I'm really excited to see what the finished badges will look like. Edited September 30, 2022 by Lojtana
Weskerfan75
Man, August went so well but September was just not it. Only three games left but with setback after setback I couldn't finish the challenge. Spent the first half os september bed ridden with COVID and then spent the second half of the month withour power because hurricane Fiona took a massive dump where I live. I could buy some cheap plats and get the challenge done but Gun Crazy is enough of an eyesore on my profile and I don't want anymore of that that kind of crap on my profile. I will be gracious and take this L.
