Popular Post Elliot
Most of us are probably aware that lately a few companies are releasing an absurd number of extremely low-effort games with easy trophies and many regional / console stacks, such as: The Thing Letter (example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17322-the-tennis-t) The Jumping Thing / The Jumping Thing TURBO (example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17317-the-jumping-nuggets \ https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17316-the-jumping-nuggets-turbo) Thing Jump (example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17334-lump-jump) Breakthrough Gaming (example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17284-softball-4-player-cooperation-edition-breakthrough-gaming-arcade) Project: Summer Ice (example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/17283-welcome-to-marks-story-in-the-world-of-project-summer-ice) I'd like the option to hide these games on the site entirely, so I don't see them on the homepage, on the games list, or on people's profiles. I think it would make sense to have this configurable by series on people's user account, because people will disagree on what's spam and what isn't (for example, I don't mind Ratalaika games or EastAsiaSoft games, but some people do). I'd also like the option to see adjustments to people's profile stats based on what's been hidden, so if they have 200 plats that I've chosen to hide, I see their plat count as 200 lower, their PSN level as lower, their total trophy count lower, etc, but I could live without this as long as I don't have to see the games. I don't want to ask for customizable leaderboards because I think that's too broad a scope. I think this would be a massive usability improvement to the site given the sheer volume of spam games, and as such I'd be willing to offer a £50 bounty for the first part (configurable hiding) and a £50 bounty for the second part (profile stat adjustments based on hidden games).
Popular Post LegendExeter
Great ideas, yet most likely wishful thinking. I don't know if there is a good way for the site to determine if a game is "easy-pz" is the main problem, and who would want to do that manually? I also don't think you are going to get a lot of people to agree with hiding the trophies, many will claim they bought them so they earned them. I very much agree on the homepage though, I hate how the mutliple stacks and constant barrage of crap hides the good games that are being released. It's as if this site provides more useless information to the majority of gamers (i.e. showing games the majority doesn't want to play) because it's coded to just grab games with trophy lists. I agree with a big GOOD LUCK for this to change.
Popular Post HoorayForTyler
Yeah, these shovelware games are really becoming a huge shit stain in the trophy hunting scene. Wouldn’t mind not seeing them pop up under the new games list every other day. And to be honest with you, people have been giving really good suggestions and feedback on this website for years, and you know what happens? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Sly hasn’t even managed to implement an official rarity leaderboard on the site—something that’s been suggested countless times, so I highly doubt suggestions go very far here. This part of the forums is just one giant echo chamber. Edited August 4, 2022 by HoorayForTyler
Popular Post LegendExeter
I don't want to advertise another site, yet I watched a vlog recently where someone went through trophy hunters websites and in true trophies apparently you get a true trophy score or there own scoring system based on the rarity of your trophies. I find this kind of incredible when you think about how it applies to shovelware games, and how little points people would get for 100% platinums vs. other games that have ultra rare below 1% bronzes for example. I've not made an account there yet, however I'm tempted to look at the leaderboards using their scoring system.

I still prefer PSNP overall layout, look/feel, and forums but given that it's essentially a zombie site at this point I will probably move away from it over time just as I did PlayStationTrophies. The events over on TT are also pretty cool and it's nice to be on a site that is making improvements on a regular basis. Oh, one other major downside: membership is too expensive, IMO.

Popular Post woggly4
First part: Totally agree. I often see thumbnails, trophy or header images of new games that catch my curiosity just to find out it's just another ez-pez game. And I would really like to hide them from the "new games" list to don't miss out on actual good (indie) games. Second part: Why? What would be the point of that? I, personally, don't hide any game because I picture my trophy log as a real log of all my trophies. I want to see it unfiltered and I would like to keep it that way for the public. Just because someone doesn't like a certain game (doesn't matter if it's easy, a stack or AAA) they shouldn't be able to change my profile, even if it's only for them. You can always think to yourself "what is wrong with you, how can you play such game" but you do you, if you like playing it or just want to mindlessly increase a virtual counter, do it, and show it to the public. I can judge or admire you, doesn't matter. But if the player decides to show a trophy or game in their list it should be seen by everyone. If you don't like it, leave their profile. pinkrobot_pb
This could in theory be something for PSNP+ but I do not know @HusKy's stance on EZPZ games and if he would deem this worth his while to implement.
Popular Post sepheroithisgod
Hard agree. What people do with their own accounts is their business, but the Shovelware spam on the homepage is disgusting. I'd rather see the New Trophy Lists replaced with the Latest Guides section as far more effort goes into those guides than the shovelware these companies pump out.
Popular Post Infected Elite
id say just combine all lists of a game. So if you have Jumping Dipshits with 5 regions, have 1 main list. You click on it, then you can view by region and see the trophies. Similar to how "Games in the Series" is in a list. But change doesnt happen here. I ignore it. I tend to research what games i intend to buy before hand.
Popular Post steel6burgh
Personally I would love to see the lists not appear on the new games list so that we don't have to look through all the vomit inducing crap to see the decent games. It's not the AAA game lists we are missing, they stand out well enough and soon end up on the most played list, rather it is the Indie gems that are passing us by because we can't tell the indies from the bullshit. Ratalaka games are looking like amazing works of art compared to the new wave of crap. Another suggestion is if we can't do that just get rid of the new game list completely because it's about useless at this point. let the trophy whores find them on the ps store and give our eyes a break.
Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
If people play these shit games they deserve to have them on their profiles. Xylobe
I'd love for these games to stop showing up in the new releases list, but the suggestion to let you auto-hide them sitewide is - as politely as possible - a case of "I don't like the real numbers, make up some new ones that I can feel better about." If trophy hunters make up 1% of actual gamers as has been estimated in the past then i'd say people playing these games make up maybe 10% or less of trophy hunters. These companies can literally turn a profit off these crap games with only a few thousand buyers. With that said i think sony should stop this bullshit. It isn't just effecting our little trophy hunting site it's getting to be a nuisance on the actual PSN store. I guess where I disagree is that the majority of us didn't ask for this shit, don't want to engage with it, don't even want to see it. We shouldn't have to live with it. It's really a quality of life improvement Sony should be making on their end and hopefully one day they will. I don't know because I never owned a xbox but do these games exist on xbox or is it only sony allowing this crap? MD_91
Having "not interested" and "don't recommend this publisher" options for the new games list basically like the options youtube give you for recommended videos on the home page would be nice but I don't really care too much either way and I don't see what being able to hide other peoples trophies would really achieve It's obvious there's no changes or improvements planned for this site and even if there were I can't imagine this being high on the priority list
Sunny
I 100% agree, like mentioned above the problem is that good games gets buried under the turd pile since they release 5 stacks at a time of the same bullcrap, what @Infected Elite said, have all the spamware compiled into one, I think that way would work perfectly.

I didn't get any platinums this weeks so i'll just pop in one of my 2 minute platinum titles and gain as much gamer score as one who spent all month playing a game with a 8/10 difficulty for 100 hours. Basically you are just fabricating a gamer score from shit. nobody suggested in this thread we don't count the games people are just asking that we could hide them so we don't have to see them. the purpose of this site as well as this hobby was to go get achievements not cipher through a bunch of bullshit like the junk folder in my e-mail. companies making this spam shovel ware crap are exploiting a hobby that people found fun and turning it into garbage. There is no excuse for or defending it.
