Leaderboard for profiles under 50% average rarity

INTRODUCTION

 

Hello there PSNP!

 

Let me start by saying, I love this community! I’ve been a member for many years but decided to create a new account just to manage this leaderboard. I’ll be happy to do a “reveal” down the line if this gains some traction and I potentially need people to help me out. Now, with all the drama around leaderboards, an influx of easy platinums, and lack of any implementation to resolve said issues - I thought it would be a cool idea if we at least had something to have fun with in terms of friendly competition. So, without further ado...

 

RULES

 

Before anyone gets too excited, I just want to make it clear that this is a user-managed leaderboard - Meaning I, every Sunday at 23:00 UTC will tally everyone’s results (posts) and update accordingly. I know it will take an incredible amount of time and dedication to keep this running successfully but I’m willing to put that time in if people like the idea.

 

This is a basic leaderboard with only 1 pre-requisite to be eligible – You must have an average rarity below 50%. So, if you go into your profile stats and your average rarity is 49.99% or below, feel free to sign up! I will be checking everyone’s account diligently, so there’s no point in trolling or giving false information.

 

I’m going to start with “Top 10”. If interest grows, ill bump it up to ‘Top 20’ > ‘Top 30’ and so on...

 

CONCLUSION

 

My goal with this project is to provide some recognition for all members that are not interested in participating on the existing leaderboard. Not only that, but I’ll also be rewarding an additional point for Ultra Rare platinums to cater to the users who put in the extra effort for challenging and/or grindy games. An example would look like this:

 

PSNPMember1 has 100 Platinums (10 of those being Ultra Rare Platinums) = 110 Points Very, very simple...

 

I cannot stress this enough -  This is purely about having fun, making friends, and reveling in a somewhat imaginary world in which we can enjoy a leaderboard that is transparent, and isn't so financially demanding!
 

For anyone that is interested in registering on this leaderboard, simply post your PSN ID, Platinum Count, Ultra Rare Platinum Count, and MOST IMPORTANTLY your Average Rarity. Depending on how well this is received, I will be more than happy to create badges for each month, or even go as far as to put up PSN cards at the end of each year to reward the Top 5!

Great idea! I never participate in this kind of events because I prefer to play games at my own pace - but this is something I can support (given the current state of "trophy hunting").

BTW,  instead of doing this manually,  you should be able to do this with a discord bot and make a custom leaderboard yourself or at the very least, make looking up information much quicker. I don't want to volunteer anyone to make this for you, but I do know it's possible.

I never even noticed that average rarity stat. Last week i decided to start playing all the easy plats i bought in sales ages ago but never played, so far plat 22.. Average rarity is now at 42.42% I bet is was much lower lol, oh well.

Appreciate the help! I'll most likely go down that path depending on how this goes. Always nice to see a mod joining too!

100% Games have been on my mind the entire time, and I have an idea of how to incorporate them!

 

Again, with enough traction, I'll find a way to keep on improving this space!
