If you're like me, and have followed the developer diaries for Platty Bird and it's roller coaster ride of development for the last 9 years, through its ups and downs and the amazing twists and turns of this soon-to-be-groundbreaking title, you're gonna put this game on the top of your wish list!

 

But what is it? Is it an open world game, a horror game, a dynamical story, built-for-ground-up VR extravaganza, is it an action platformer or a revolutionary stealth puzzle game? It's ALL those things and more!

 

Trust me when I say that the only thing that would keep me from playing this masterpiece, this tour de force and demonstration of what games really can be, is that my expectations are almost TOO high. Can it really live up to its potential? And its horror side alone means I just don't know if I'm brave enough to delve into its world.

 

Only listen to the trophy names to see what I mean! The awesomeness! The humanity!

I mean, am I brave enough for this challenge? Am I really enough of a complete human being to really grasp the breathtaking depth of this game's premise? ARE YOU?

 

I guess time will tell. But I feel confident that in 20 years' time we'll be able to step back from the enormity of this experience, and tell its story to our kids or grandkids. The rest, as they say, will be history...

Sequel should be called "Shitty Bird" and it does farts and pebble dashes across the screen each time you jump.
