Closed Servers and Unobtainable Platinums

We all hate it.  Closed servers.  I get it, it's expensive to maintain dead servers on old games, but can we stop attaching online trophies to platinum requirements already?

 

How many games do you have that you will never finish?

I was really into the sports genre at one point.

I only have 2 on my list.

 

Lost Planet 2 - The servers are not closed but, the requirements for the plat are impossible IMO. There are hacked leaderboard times on a global non-resetting leaderboard where you are required to get the #1 position for a trophy.

 

Inversion - The servers are not closed for this one either. My issue is motivation to go back to the game and investing nearly 300 hours boosting.

Ok, I fixed it.  I mean, I assumed everyone had at least 1 bugger in their collection.

Man, you ain't lying! The trophy list is absolutely insane for Lost Planet 2. Sine Mora comes in at a close 2nd for me.

Same reason I don't buy sport games anymore. I don't want that incomplete record on my list. Its a shame the servers last two years at most.

I believe Battlefield: Bad Company is impossible due to a glitched server trophy. What really sucks is I don't even like the game and played it all of one time. Also, Lost Planet 2.

UMvC3 servers are fine. Vanilla MvC3 servers are ok too (though pretty dead).
