Niche Position trophy not popping

I followed two different guides and made sure that at every location the chest was open and it hasn't popped. I'm really not sure if there is a fix for this but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on how to fix it.

It's not about opening boxes, it's about visiting the right spot of the hidden locations.

When you walk into a hidden location for the first time there's a message on-screen that says you found a hidden location and gained an ability point.
When you get that message that's enough (for the Niche Position trophy anyway). Obviously it can't hurt to open a box or pick up a collectible, but it's not required for this trophy.

Maybe you didn't "walk in the right place" or something for the game to register you visited the hidden location.

Opening the chests is a good way to track, but it's about getting the hidden location alert to pop up. If you're following a guide specifically for chests it might not get you what you need. You need to find a hidden location guide. I think all the hidden locations have chests, though.
