Before playing it, I saw mainly memes about it (Just Monika and others), but there's so much more to it than that. The main game is good, but I really liked the side stories and their psychological aspects a lot. It was nice seeing the characters grow and overcome their problems. Overall, it's a good visual novel. So that's that, all games on my list done. Thanks to @MidnightDragon for hosting this event, I had fun and it made me complete games that I would've ignored for a while longer otherwise. I also played through my first tower defense game, Crystal Defenders. I never had anything to do with the genre before and it was nice to learn about it. What's next: For now, nothing with the Backlog Challenge. Genshin Impact released a new patch earlier this week, I'll clear the new content before doing anything else. That shouldn't take longer than a few days. But GI is not eligible for this challenge, it's already at 100%. After Genshin Impact: There's still more than a month left, so I will add at least one more game to my list. Most likely, that is. From now on, I'll focus on Final Fantasy games for the rest of the year. At least that's the plan. So the next game is https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/8474-dissidia-final-fantasy-nt-free-edition. It is better to start with the free edition, I can import my progress into the main game once I'm done. It's also an online game, so I'll get it out of the way before the servers shut down. There's no announcement yet, but it's not exactly active these days. So it might happen sooner or later. Dissidia NT is a long game, completing it apparently takes 150 hours. I might not be able to get all trophies until this challenge ends, but I will get it done someday. But more on that in my next post, once I'm done with Genshin and made some progress in Dissidia NT Free Edition. The ward has admitted an extremely challenging and complex patient that requires round the clock care. I've had to work overtime to meet this patient's needs and attend all the meetings and case panels about them (there are many legal challenges to caring for this patient!). In addition to that, nurses striked in the week and I've been shoring up the ward :'( I've had scant little time for games over the last few weeks because of this. I've dipped into Nioh and played Void terrarium++ (cute drpg/tamogachi) for mindless stress relief. More recently I've started to think about my listed games and played Hades making some progress towards the prophecies etc. Also played Steamworld for a bit with no trophy progress. I've actually got this weekend off so plan to get stuck into my games. I had annual leave at the end of next week so hope to get through a lot of things then. Have a good week. Popular Post YaManSmevz
Update #7 1/21/23 A big hey yo to all my fellow Challenge... er, challengers! Quick shout to @StilRh, that sounds so exhausting and I'm really pleased to hear that you'll have some time to recharge this weekend? Finally was undistracted by the PS4 and able to put some work in, ended up absolutely gorging myself on Red Dead Redemption's main campaign. It's so good - gorgeous graphics, killer story, fun activities, they really pulled out all the stops here. In spite of there still being a lot to do, I can almost taste that completion... but kinda don't want it to be complete? I'm just enjoying it so much! Absurdly late to the RDR party, but it's great - feels like I found a hundred dollar bill in an old pair of pants from 2010 or some shit! I keep meaning to get back into Dead Space, and I was - but Red Dead just completely monopolized my attention. The goal for this week is to give the month a Red Dead Space finish, I've got so much else to get to work on? Lovin them juicy updates, y'all! Everybody bringin that fire like always, keep up the good work and have a great week?? 1. Grand Theft Auto IV ✅️2. XCOM: Enemy Within (3%)3. Dead Space (5-->10%)4. God of War ✅️5. God of War II ✅️6. Popular Post Boorish
Update 3: Quick update for swapping out one of the game for a more manageable one. Been really enjoying Celeste and am taking my time with it. I don't think I can get both Returnal and Demon's Souls done in a month's time; so am pushing Returnal back. Going to do Chicory: A Colorful Tale instead which is relatively chill than the other three games mentioned. Fun fact: Celeste and Chicory shares the same music composer. Celeste has quickly become my favorite game of all time and also has an amazing OST. Can't wait to hear what Chicory sounds like. Sonic Frontiers - 27% I finally finished the story in FFVII Remake. It's a lovely game and I am looking forward to cleaning up a few things before attempting the hard mode playthrough. That looks like major yikes to me. In non challenge related news, I finally decided to stop being stupid and start playing ps4 games on my account which is something I figured was bound to happen eventually. My trophy list is never going to be the clean pristine thing I keep thinking it is and I'm arbitrarily gatekeeping my favourite hobby from myself when all I want to do is play fun games. Life is too short for that compulsive crap. So I am going to grab a few games from my old accounts and have fun replaying some old favourites for the umpteenth time. Maybe I'll join the spring event with some of them ?.
Popular Post cstanci
Another update! I FINALLY got the Real Gamer trophy in Celeste after what felt like forever. My god, that was annoying but it's done. All in all, Celeste is one of the best games I have EVER played. Also went ahead and knocked out Valiant Hearts: The Great War. I did use a guide to not miss collectibles, but absolutely loved the game. With a great story - though heartbreaking at times. Loved the art style and the gameplay. Glad I played it. Meant to add it to my list but I totally forgot - but I did finish Ravenous Devils. It was...fine. It was fun for a while but lost it's luster quick. Totally forgot to add it to the challenge. Also worked on some old DLC that was stopping me from getting 100% on old games. (Obviously not part of the challenge.) But Conan: Exiles and The Dwarves are now 100% so that feels good. I guess I need to add one - I am going to add Stray. Not sure if I will get it done in time because I want to take my time with it. 1. Celeste - 100% 2. Goosebumps: The Game - 100% 3. Far Cry 3 Classic - 100% 4. Black Death: A Tragic Dirge - 100% 5. Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek - 100% 6. Valiant Hearts: The Great War - 100% 7. Stray - 0% Love seeing everyone's progress!!

CSI: Fatal Conspiracy - 0% (PS3) Official Update 3 & A Half: It's coming Winterhome Yeah, remember when I called The Refugees scenario on survivor the back of the plat/100%? No, it's definitely The Fall Of Winterhome scenario on survivor. It wasn't that bad for me once I had my strats honed for the Restore The City objective. But the difficulty of survivor/extreme, plus the conditions and objective, and the limitations of the console version. This is objectively speaking much more challenging than The Refugees. The Fall Of Winterhome scenario sees you suddenly installed as the new captain of the doomed city immediately after the previous captain went all tyrant and the city is little more than a dysfunctional ruin. And you've some got to not only get the city functioning again, but also deal with almost every citizen (500 of them) getting sick in the aftermath of all this chaos with very few engineers for medical posts. This clip from Saving Private Ryan perfectly illustrates my first couple of attempts, my general frustration with the scenario. People dying is not good. It massacres hope. Did I forget to also mention part of the objective is to raise hope to 50% and it starts out at15%ish? You have no faith laws passed, and are pretty much forced to sign radical treatment and, then overcrowding before even getting started on the faith tree to get all the sick that keep building up under control. Did I also mention this is survivor? Yeah.... I absolutely detested this scenario at first, until my starts were down on the 4th attempt. After that it became really satisfying having turned this shit show of a city around. I've also started a thread over on The Forstpunk forum giving more information and help for those doing, or considering doing Frostpunk. I'm also hoping the guide writer will beef up the guide a bit, and I'll probably receive some delightful hate DMs on PS form someone for being responsible for adding 0.1% to their platinum trophy for my efforts. Glad to be of service! I've also wrote a bit about The Union trophy which the guide is pretty light on information for it. Which is also true across the internet as well. The Union trophy I was doing while also knocking out my hard playthrough for The Refugees. I had to go back a couple of times to a save and figure out what to do for The Union trophy. I've also got some other miscellaneous trophy along the way with this. Back to speaking about hateful people. I learned some people haven't liked my efforts with Wolfenstein II, wishing I would fail at doing it. Sad. Well the tyres on The Bus To Yoker did not deflate with Wolfenstein II, and nor have they deflated with Frostpunk. The majority of any real obstacles and hazards on my road to platinum/100% are now gone. I wish everyone well in their trophy hunting efforts, even those who don't wish me well. In closing, while I'm doing war movie clips. Here's one of my favourites. Pickett's Charge from Gettysburg (1993). Where a bunch of mad Ulster-Scots descendants under a smorgasbord of artillery fire instead of retreating, decided to engage in a good old fashioned Scottish death charge (I'm simplifying it). Well, that's pretty much me and harder games + my Scottish mentality. There's only victory or death. Trophy hunters, I'm staying. Who will come with me.... Unlike my first attempt a few years ago, I'm actually having fun playing the game. It reminds me a lot more of the PSP games, but the 3 vs. 3 battles are still quite chaotic compared to what I'm used to. There are a few trophies that will determine if I can get all trophies or not. Those are: An Alias for all Occasions: Obtained fifty titles within the game. Hardened Veteran: Won three hundred ranked matches. Everything else will come naturally while getting these two trophies. Actually, the 50 titles one is the major roadblock on the way to 100%, the online ranked matches come naturally as well while going for titles. I'm currently at 6/50 titles and 35/300 wins in ranked matches. As this is the free version, not all characters are available all the time. They rotate on a weekly basis, I can always only use one of four characters unless I choose to buy them. Then I can use them whenever I want. I haven't made up my mind on what to do about that yet. It's entirely doable without spending money, but it takes much longer as my weekly progress is limited to leveling up four characters to max level. That gives me a title and is one of the easier ways of getting titles. So I have to do that unless I want to do something crazy like winning 1000 ranked battles with a character multiple times. Anyway, that's it for today, hope you're doing well. Edited January 22, 2023 by viech54

Sometimes incredibly frustrating but we laughed our way through it. One of my favourite gaming experiences being able to do it together. Also finished up Golf Club Wasteland. Another fun little indie game for the most part. Iron Mode will test your patience though, that was tough. I'm going to use another swap as I just don't see myself finishing up both Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok in time. Will hopefully have some time this week to get properly stuck in to Ragnarok. Popular Post KimBongUn420
Update 4: no new platinums but lots of new trophies Progress: Finished the story for Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Also managed to get all of the platinum-killer trophies out of the way, including the gold trophy for 3-starring all of the dashes. Only things left are the 3 collectible trophies for recordings/documents, bags, and gridLeaks. Should be able to polish this one off sometime this week. I'll save my full thoughts for when I'm completely done, but for a 6-year old game, it's held up really well and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. Made it about 1/3 of the way into the WRC campaign in WRC 9. Only trophies left here are the remainder of the story and the one multiplayer trophy. No new trophies in Farming Simulator 16 but about 80% done in the game. I should have the platinum next week. In Tales of Symphonia all I'm doing now is finding some of the rare monsters for the monsters list, fighting my way through the coliseum (decided to do it now, it's not that hard but would probably be easier in my later runs) and grinding for some grade points (I think I need about 300 pts more) to carry stuff over to my next run. Which should also be done next week. I will also have to plan out that next run and carefully follow some guides. Peace out!
Popular Post Fanatixa1
HI everyone, Here's an update from me. I got the platinum on Sonic Frontiers. A quite enjoyable game I thought, all though a bit longer then needed. The platinum is not hard, it took me about 30 hours. I got my PS5! And off course played Astro's Playroom. A really nice game, which brought me back to the VR one. I hope Playstation makes more off these, they're super fun. I started Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart too. And I will swap it for Narita Boy. Narita boy is very disappointing, I cannot recommend this game at all. Ratchet & Clank I do really enjoy. It's next level but also still just Ratchet & Clank. A fun story and fun (not too difficult) gameplay. This week I will continue playing it and trying to get the platinum. Have a good week everyone! 1. Police Simulator: Patrol Officers - 100% 2. Taruta13
Didn't think I would get the platinum for the PS5 version of Skywalker Saga faster than I did the PS4 version. So now I am worried that I bit off my arm by deciding to stop doing the list because I thought I would take another two months for the PS5 version of Skywalker Saga.

Very fun cyberpunk hack and slash/ adventure with a graphical style that is a mix of sprites for the characters and polygons for the environments. The story was interesting, but I had the feeling as if some plotpoints and characters needed more developing/ a better introduction. I also started playing Japanese Rail Sim: Journey to Kyoto and it looks as if 2 trophies glitched on me (the ones for unlocking the book entries for the 2 railway lines). I doesn`t swap the game just yet, because I have fun with it, it would be only 1-2 hours to get this trophies on a new save file and the trophies are not unobtainable, so I simply try them again after (if) I got the rest of the trophies.
Popular Post Heather342
Unofficial update #4 Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well ?. Just a little update from me, I managed to finish up Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch this week. It was a fun JRPG, but it had been majorly hyped up to me before I started playing so my expectations were pretty high. For me, it didn't quite meet those expectations so it left me feeling a tad disappointed. Other than the art style, it didn't really have anything to make it stand out from other JRPGs I've played. A lot of the side quest errands are very repetitive, which did get boring pretty quickly. Also farming items for the alchemy trophy was quite the grind, felt like it added unnecessary time to your game. I'm glad I've played it though, and I do have Revenant Kingdom in my library, a backlog game for another day. If you like JRPGs then I would recommend it, just note that some of the post game tasks are pretty grindy. Other than that, progress has been made in Overwatch ?. Kiriko's 'Purified' trophy and Junker Queen's 'Adrenaline Junkie' are done. Just keep trying to get Sojourn's 'Taking Charge' trophy, the stars haven't lined up for me yet but I got close on a few occasions. Hopefully will get it soon ?. I've also been chipping away at Persona 4 Arena combos, still got a long way to go but I'm up to 240/390 combos completed. No progress on Score Attack since last post unfortunately. That's all from me. Looking forward to reading all your update posts for the final stretch of this challenge ?

Popular Post iXanon
Update #7 The distraction continued last week with Overcooked (PS4), and together with my OH we saw it through to completion! Once again.. not on the list, despite this one being eligible. This entry was looking somewhat different prior to Saturday evening, where the only progress made had been was in Heavy Rain (PS3) - finally, after putting it off for so long! Despite its age and finicky controls, I'm quite enjoying my time with it.. Unfortunately trophy wise, it's one of those games that you're better off doing a 'pure' playthrough, and then use the chapter select to finish up - it goes against a trophy hunter's natural instinct, I tells ya! Prior to Saturday, I'd attempted BirdCakes (PS4) a few more times to no avail.. I'd even posted on PSNP that I felt destined not to finish the game. However, in an almost 'typical' fashion, I finally managed to take down that final boss in the very next effort and attain the Platinum. I enjoyed the game more than I expected to, but the RNG often feels quite punishing. You could have full life, and be offered a full life replenishment on Level 19 in one playthrough - but be down to minimal life, and not be offered any life replenishment on Level 19 in another! I've also decided to make use of a swap.. Duke Nukem Forever (PS3) > Overcooked 2 (PS4). Straight after finishing Overcooked (PS4) which I decided not to swap out a game on the list for, my OH wanted me to download and start Overcooked 2 (PS4), which I'd purchased on sale just a day or two prior. I'd much rather focus my efforts on that and the other games I've listed, than having to play through Duke Nukem Forever (PS3) and its DLC at least a couple of times.. We're now past the half way point afterall! Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS4) - 25% BirdCakes (PS4) - NEW > 28% > 65% > 74% > 100% Driver: San Francisco (PS3) - 32% > 34% > 51% > 67% > 100% Heavy Rain (PS3) - 11% > 21% Jak II (PS3) - 18% > 28% Overcooked 2 (PS4) - NEW > 15% Sephirothic Stories (PS4) - 5% > 100% Watch Dogs (PS4) - 29% > 38% > 41% > 87% Swaps used: 1/3 Duke Nukem Forever (PS3) > Overcooked 2 (PS4)
Popular Post Static_Rook
Update 8 - 1/23/2023 Valkyrie Elysium 32% 87% Beat VE on Normal and got all the grindy trophies done, and I'm about halfway through the Hard mode run now. I was hoping to be done by this update, but oh well. I should be able to finish Hard mode tomorrow and then start on Valkyrie and the other two extra modes. Hoping to knock those out before the weekend. Even with Valkyrie taking a little longer than planned, I should be able to finish my list. Signalis, Onimusha, and F1 Manager should all be quick so that will just leave me with Saints Row IV and Dymantle. If I run out of time, I'll focus on Saints Row first and bump Dysmantle. But I'm not giving up hope yet. Take care! Full game list(2/8 complete, 3/3 swaps used) Dragon Quest Heroes 1/4/2023 Dysmantle 2% F1 Manager 2022 7% Norco 1/8/2023 Onimusha: Warlords 40% Saints Row IV: Re-elected 12% Signalis 0% Valkyrie Elysium 32% 87% Swaps Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II -> Valkyrie Elysium 12/26/2022 Elden Ring -> Norco 1/6/2023 Tribes of Midgard -> Signalis 1/6/2023 Edited January 24, 2023 by Static_Rook
