Hey y'all, don't mind this post! I just wanna update my list. I was a bit inebriated when I signed up and forgot a whole game, as well as my percentages? so I just wanna fix it up real quick.

Unfortunately, I can't ignore that game as I made it a plan to make the PS4 version my next platinum.

 

Probably gonna cut out the Twins hangouts as they only reward you with skill cards I don't need as I won't be using any skills because I won't be fusing Persona except for the Strength Confidant and filling out the Compendium as I only plan on using one Persona to kill everything. Well good luck to everyone. I need a bit of time before I dive in. Maybe I could pull Dark Cloud 2 out of hibernation and work on that first.

I've played Journey before and really enjoyed it, going to try and match up with @rjkclarke so we can do this one together. Been meaning to go back to Elden Ring for a while as well so I'm looking forward to that, it'll be my first FromSoft plat ?. 

Guardians is super fun too! Some of the RNG trophies for each character are a bit annoying though, hope you like it.

So, to give me more time to plan out my Persona 5 Royal route, I am in Dark Cloud 2 now... but I haven't started playing yet. Stuff happened of the Koraidon variety and I just realized I don't know where I am weapon-wise. I guess I'll have to start building up Max's and Monica's weapons again from scratch, which is vital as Lin will force herself into my companion slot once she's healed until the final boss of Chapter 3 and then her benefit is gone forever. Benefit? She gives extra ability points to Monica's magic armlets, which I kinda need to upgrade them.

 

Maybe I should just unlock Spheda and work on the Spheda challenges first.

So far, so good. I've started a new playthrough of Shenmue instead continuing my existing one, as I wanted to do as concise and thorough a playthrough as possible. I got through most of the game today, I just need to start learning how to operate a forklift and get those last several trophies. 

 

Also, to make things easier, updates will always be red, new games will be bright blue, and completed games will be orange, or I guess "carrot".

Time to start posting the updates, though my first one isn't stellar. I did spend some time in Dark Cloud 2, unlocked Spheda, and actually won a few Spheda challenges. The Spheda isn't bad, you just have to pray that the ball and hole are close enough or easy enough to reach with the shots you're given. Balance Valley is notorious as you have to shoot over gaps and hope you had hit hard enough to clear the gap but not so hard that it hits a wall and bounces back into the gap. Failed only one Spheda game because I kept undershooting. Other than a few levels in Starlight Canyon, I got one in the Underground Channel because the portal and ball spawned so close together that it was just a single putt to close the portal.

 

The only trophy I earned last night was for completing a game of Spheda.

 

Dark Cloud 2: 17% => 19%

Persona 5 Royal (PS4): 3%

Eventide: Slavic Fable; 0%

Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror: 0%

Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends: 0%

Anyways, I would atleast like to fill in these games to finish up in the winter period:

 

Ratchet: Deadlocked [PS3, 36,97%] - currently at 32%, this one has been sitting there for quite a while. But for some reason everytime I boot this one up, I play for 1 minute and I closed it down again, dunno this needs to stop ?

Far Cry 2 [PS3, 0,63%] - Currently at 37%, bassicaly did the MP this summer, just in case it got thrown into the ubi purge by mistake. So I need to get all the SP trophies to finish up the plat.

Driver: San Fransisco [PS3, 2,82%] - Currently at 30%, Same deal as far Cry 2, finished the MP due to the UBI purge. Just need to do the SP to finish up the plat.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 [PS3, 7,65%] - Currently at 14%, Well I had the plan 2 years ago to platinum all of the PS3 cod's til ghost (I would be playing ghost and onward on PS4). However it stayed with that unfortunately.

Front mission evolved [PS3, 1,32%] - Currently at 23%, Another simple case of, I got the MP done, but the SP has been on my list for quite a while now, time to finish it up for good.

 

And depending on how it goes I will add more.

 

Well we are 2 days in and instead of going to do these games, I need to prioritize a few of my backlog that will shutdown too.

 

This means completing:

* Medal of Honor 2010 (PS3 not on my list yet 0%)

* Medal of Honor Warfighter (PS3 not on my list yet 0%)

* Babylon's fall (PS5 14%)

 

I also want to finish Sonic Frontiers and I am currently playing MGS peacewalker co-op, but these are out of the above scope

 

So I am currently sitting on 8 games.

I totally missed the fall backlog challenge because I was barely gaming, but I'm always looking to cut through my backlog wherever possible so I'd love to jump onboard with all of you awesome folks once more!

 

It's always so good to just jump in with lots of incredibly encouraging people as we all try and whittle our mammoth backlogs down bit by bit.... I'm thinking of going quite hard at this one, with a few very big hitter games that I've been looking to knock out for a while so I'll throw a list together.

I'm always in safe hands with that though as I'll have @Redblaziken8 for company, and whilst yes, I might be a little biased...  I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather have along for the ride

 

I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and knocking out some of these games that I've been thinking about playing for such a long time, in some of these cases... and playing them again but on a different console in Bioshock and GTAIV's case....

 

I won't post about it in here, when I do.... but I'm also going to try and knock out some of the pesky DLC's in a few games that have been sitting on my list unfinished for far too long.... if they were low enough completion, you could be damn sure you'd be seeing them here as well.

Ok - I would LOVE to get in on this. I have been semi-decent about following up on these challenges in the past, but I am going to try and commit to finish this one! (So, I am adding some that I KNOW I can get done to encourage me to continue.)

First game down, God of War II. Pretty much better than the original in every conceivable way. I remembered very little of it which made it pretty fun to run through again. Campaign was easy except for a few puzzles - some of them really had me stumped. Challenge of the Titans was way easier than the originals, no RNG bullshit like the tenth challenge this time around. The only downsides were the occasional FPS drops during combat and generally sluggish menu's. Can't remember if this was the case on the PS3 or not. Still, totally worth giving this gem a go even 15 years after it's release!

 

I'm thinking of playing through Blacklist next, perfectionist playthrough with no kills should be fun..

Got my first game done:

I said I was going to platinum this since I tried twice to platinum 2018 GoW and I just didn't really care enough to do so. I found it a bit off putting but not entirely sure why. That was definitely not the case with Ragnarok. Pretty much the only game where I actually wouldn't mind if they put in a new game + trophy because I loved it.

Tales of Arise: Didn't make as much progress as I thought I would. I'm enjoying the game so far, the story could be really good. Battles are quite easy right now, graphics are good. Some dialogue doesn't stay on the screen long enough to read it, but it's rare. Can't say much else yet, only played a bit more than 2 hours. There'll be more progress over the weekend.

Thats good to hear as I havent been able to find the resolve to finish up GoW 2018 yet either. Its coming up to 4 years since I started it and Ive done a few attempts to clean it up as well. I just can't seem to care about the Muspelheim trials and the Niflheim mist bullchit. It just seems so pointless.
