Sorry guys, I promise to get back to doing my games, I've just been busy. I've warned you people that I would be sleeping with Koraidon/Miraidon enrolled in the Paldean Academy after Pokemon Scarlet/Violet came out, so I have been spending most of my time playing those games. (Cleared the three storylines in one file but that was a challenge run so I want to get back to work on my actual files. )

 

Also, I couldn't play my games for a couple of days because... well, I was drunken stupid and wish I could go way back and punch my false teeth out in rage after realizing how f'king stupid a loft bed idea was!!!! ? So my dad had to tear apart the loft bed and build a new normal bed frame for me, so I had to move all my furniture around and I need to rearrange my PS4 so it's closer to the computer. *sigh*

 

I promise to get back to Persona 5 Royal / Dark Cloud 2 tomorrow after a good night's rest. Halfway through Dark Cloud 2 and going to restart Persona 5 Royal and try another guide to see if I could get things done better. (I know the event lasts for three months but tomorrow's my birthday so I might not be in the house. I turn 50 in a few hours.)

Been swapping between 3 games so far. For Sonic I finished the story and started cleanup for red/number/moon rings while getting a challenge or 2 done. Haven't played much Sonic after Adventure 2 on game cube. So far I enjoy the game, but notices some of the challenges may be more difficult than I thought, namely speedruns.

 

Other than that I've mostly spent my time on SoS, which is a perfect game to relax with. Not to much left on the museum collection, but still got some stuff left to set up for Lovetts requests. 

 

Lastly I got a couple of quests done in Days gone, interesting story so far. Enjoying it more than I thought I would so that's good.

 

Will move on to GoW as soon as I finish 1 of the 3 I'm currently playing, only 2h in or so in that one.

Sadly, fate decided to force its hand and make me turn 50 today so, since it's my birthday, I had to earn a platinum to commemorate the slow decline into old age.

 

Alas, since I have plans to go play arcade games(Dave & Busters for lunch), as soon as I woke up I decided to just knock out one of my list. Alack, that means my 65th platinum is an Artifex Mundi title instead of Persona 5 Royal. Oh well, I was just sitting on my hands and not taking the plunge to restart P5R and watch Kamoshida beat the stuffing out of Ryuji the umpteenth time because of stupid Pokemon priorities. Yeah, expect to hear me whine about Pokemon a lot in the next few months. As I said, Scarlet and VIolet came out two weeks ago, and I will buy and play any dang Pokemon mainline game that gets hyped.

 

*sigh* At least I got a Shiny Charcade--- I mean, got a platinum ticked off. Now that I am at 65 platinums, I will probably just knock the A out of the other two Eventides this week so the list will only be the big boys.

 

Sorry if i'm a bitter blade, but I was hoping to put Persona 5 Royal (PS4) on #65. *shrug*

@TheZazuku I didn't find the speedruns that bad in Sonic Forces and it was my first proper Sonic game. You just have to know the shortcuts and best routes (I used youtube vids). The hardest ones are the classic Sonic ones, if you can do those the rest should be no problem. I think you can do some of the speedruns with Super Sonic (I believe it is free DLC), that should help a little.

Still playing Tales of Arise. IDK about this series, really. I always hear how you can do these insane combo moves with your party (not mystic artes) and pretty much finish off enemies in style or something in the Tales series, but I never manage to pull it off myself. Maybe it's just not true, maybe what I read was just an exaggeration or I'm just not good enough and don't really understand the Tales battle system. Or I have the wrong attacking moves equipped. I can beat the game, but it never felt like I actually knew what I was doing in combat.

Anyway, cleared the second area of the game and also got the trophy for a 100 hit combo. Still only 8%, but quite a few trophies can only be obtained later in the game, so it's alright.

Got some more progress on YS VIII, and I still love it. Got the platinum on the ps4 version a few years ago that started me on all the Falcom jrpgs.

It'll be alright in the end, it's not my first (Xillia, X2, Symphonia, DotNW, Berseria, Vesperia, Abyss, Hearts R, Graces F) and I like it more for story, characters, and world than the gameplay for the most part. Music is also great. Still, thanks, I hope it'll get better over time.

I’m happy with my progress this first week. I completed inFamous: Second Son and nearly finished my first playthrough of Broken Age. I was mildly disappointed with Second Son, especially when comparing it to the nostalgia of playing inFamous for the first time. The story was forgettable and short, and Delsin was an insufferable protagonist. Thankfully, cleaning up was an easy endeavor; the shards being available on the map was an improvement from the first game. I did enjoy being able to change powers indiscriminately, but the story was essentially over by the time you received all of them.. Goals for the next week: complete Broken Age, add a game to the list, and choose what to play next.

Update #1

 

I don't think I will be getting much more progress this week. I pretty much made a start with medal of honor 2010. But with start I mean getting the game to 67%.

 

But what I did do was frankly not that impressive, I finished the campaign on hard while trying to get most of the misc out of the way. I am only missing 5 kills with a single grenade and doing the belly of the beast misc trophy, both doesn't seem to be something to write home about tbf. Hard mode was, in all honestly, disgustingly easy.

 

Other then that, the campaign is using the generic spunkgargleweewee formula. That also means I will forget everything within a month since nothing is remarkable about it.

 

Anyway I got 2 things that are really left on this game:

* Tier 1 mode: which is a kinda speedrun mode where you need to reach the end of certain main missions under par time. But the problems lies in it having no checkpoints so 1 mistake can end your run. Luckily the missions aren't that long with the highest PAR time been 30 minutes. The enemies also hit a little bit harder, but it is still nothing compared to for example veteran COD WAW.

 

Just for funzies here are my final time stats:

Mission 1: PAR: 25:00; My time: 17:08

Mission 2: PAR: 30:00; My time: 22:14

Mission 3: -

Mission 4: PAR: 17:30; My time: 13:01

Mission 5: -

Mission 6: PAR: 15:00; My time: 10:02

Mission 7: PAR: 12:30; My time: 10:06

Mission 8: -

Mission 9: -

 

I still need to do 4 missions which also includes the unanimous chosen hardest mission to PAR (Mission 5)

 

* Online: I practically did some idling while I was studying. So I got all 2 hours trophies done. But I still need to fully commit into getting my character to level up (he is almost level 6 now), to get all killstreaks + get on the top 3 of leaderboard 9 more times. If I am not able to do it, I should be able to boost it all away, but I will try to get it legit first. A lot of veterans are still playing this game, so it is kinda hard to get a good streak going. Also the frostbite engine does a beautifull job and looks and feels way better then the campaign which is made by the unreal engine 3.

Not much progress on them as every time I jump on the PS5, my mates suddenly appear and the next thing I know I'm playing Deep Rock Galactic

I could see how someone playing Second Son on release might be enthusiastic about having a current-gen inFamous installment and overlook a lot of its flaws, but they're much more obvious in the modern era. We've been spoiled with so many stellar first party stories/ experiences since.

I felt this way too. He’s so whiny and constantly talking to himself. I also thought the evil play through was an afterthought, barely any of the story changes especially regarding Reggie. I played First Light for the last challenge and found it a lot more enjoyable. 
 

I played all the infamous games this year for the first time and the story of 2 was definitely the high point. I loved both endings for that one.

First week has some pretty meager numbers for me, but almost all the grinding is done for Grand Theft Auto IV - no more stunt jumps or stupid pigeons, and once the car deliveries are done it'll be just story, speed run, and Gay Tony.

 

It's unlikely I'll have it all done in a week, but I plan to get back into Enslaved and start on the God of Wars in the meantime. Taking the odd shot at Red Dead Redemption online too, but that's about it. Just trying to pace for now!

I will definetly have to look up shortcuts on most stages I think, gonna focus more on Sonic when Story of Seasons is done, 2-3 more days I believe.

So after catching a lot of Pokemon and beating all the gyms in Paldea, including a double battle with rapping ghosts(don't ask ) I finally got back into Persona 5 Royal(having to lose all my save progress once because I asked to go buy groceries and the taxi refused to wait for me to get to a save point so I ended up getting ambushed twice and had to shut down), and now I beat the first palace and entered the second, so I am doing well. The new guide I am following is easier to read and feels better. I do plan on taking on the other games soon(still need to get a photo of a Bomber Head exploding but Max keeping getting hit and dying ), but with Dragon Quest Treasures coming out tomorrow, I am worried about time management so I am trying to complete as much of Persona 5 Royal as possible.

Okay, sort of confused. The guide to Persona 5 Royal says that the Chariot Rank 7 hangout is June 22, but all of the guides on that say that the stakeout is only available on the 29th, a week later. They have a Faith hangout on that date. Are the guides all wrong? Worse, I just got a text from Ryuji on the 3rd saying he's going to locate the stakeout spot, should I say "He'll notice you" or "Good luck?" I'm screwed. I should have remained with Optinoob's guide, because you get Insta-Kill before the second palace.

 

Sorry, but I don't want to have to start the game over again just to go back to the old guide as I already cleared two palaces. ?

 

EDIT: Sorry about that, everything panned out. I'll post an update soon. I know this thread is not a help thread.
