AugustUnder
First off, I really loved the content of this collection. I spent a day or so going through the entire history section and was just enthralled by the interviews and other historical content. I turned 50 this year too and Atari made up a lot of my early gaming experience, so my interest in this may be a different than others. I guess what I am saying is that I already feel like I got my money's worth just by enjoying the content so far. Having said all that, I feel like I could really use some tips on Haunted Houses (well, probably all the other games that are tied to trophies too, but let's stay focused). This one game feels like it should be really straight forward, but I'll be damned if I can really sort out how to be "good" at this game without going insane. I think the thing that kills me the most is the concept of holding one item at a time. You go to fine the chalice pieces, and a lot of them are all behind locked doors. Fine, I grab the key, go get the chalice piece and.....yeah, now I can't get back through the door. Fine. Drop the piece, bring the key, open the door, grab the piece......door swings shut and I am locked out.......ugh, do this several times until I am on the boarder and eventually end up on the other end of the door with the key and the piece. Bring all those bits to the exit area and eventually get to leave, but certainly not in any sort of record time. This can't be right. I have to be missing something.
nrs1nrs1
I am also interested in knowing the answer to this.

You just gotta remember spawns of pieces and very rarely juggle to get through a door. The character with the wand can kill the ghost so he is best to use, also lights on may swap spawns on the key? The final level start by going deep basement and going up and around and you can clear it with 0 key if you are lucky ( it shouldn't take many runs as I ended up getting the bounty second go and on other attempts to further optimise it I had multiple runs where I didn't need the key). You go through the TV to get there or the hole in the wall. The first level I would always rush outside as 2 can spawn out there, just grab them and make them 1 piece, then go off to find the last one ( usually in the attic ). The second level is a bit more annoying but just rush rooms and you would be surprised by how forgiving it actually is.
Keitaro004
I would say that it's almost impossible to do the "top bounty" trophies solo. Co-op mode makes the required score a lot easier to reach, as one player can carry the key and the other can carry the urn pieces, but it's still extremely difficult to do. The scoring system is very strict about how many times you got scared, so basically you can't even get scared once if you want the top bounty score. You'll have to avoid getting bitten by spiders/critters as much as possible too (which gets ridiculously hard later on as the last area is full of them) and collect pretty much all the bonus time pieces to even have a chance at achieving it. It was a true nightmare, but if you're up for the challenge: good luck!
GhostofArcade
Another tip is to collect the ‘jump scares’ in each level; they give $150 each. You don’t need the key to get to the urn pieces either; you’ll just have to make a few detours to navigate the rooms. Each level also has bonus areas with grey dots that give +10 seconds. If you get the scares, avoid death, and don’t take too long to finish the level, you shouldn’t have an issue getting the top bounties.

It was a true nightmare, but if you're up for the challenge: good luck! The key is not even needed in the levels as you can detour to get to places ( its also really easy to juggle the item through the door along with the key ), like I said for the mansion start very bottom and work around. You will likely have 2 pieces out of 3 almost instantly, which is also the same for the very first level as you can rush outside and get 2 instantly ( this seems to work a lot more than it doesn't ). The hotel is larger but there's tons of ways to detour without a key if you lose it ( it also doesn't really hurt time all that much ), tons of time pellets and as the other person said jump scares give score ( which I didn't even use as I didn't know this while I was doing the trophies ). Not getting scared by the ghost is very easy as you just stop running... it wont go after you, and you can temporarily kill it with the wand. The bats are on a rotation of where they swing from so just don't go into the line of sight. The spiders are easy enough to dodge as they tend to go in a straight line after you and jump, which you just move left or right. Its far from almost impossible solo, and I would go on to say its easy. I know I come off rude with that last part but I feel saying its almost impossible solo is a huge overstatement that will put a lot off thinking they need to do it co-op to have a chance, when in reality you just need a few runs on the map to have an understanding of where the Urn pieces have chances to spawn.
