I am really glad for Messi, he deserved it. He is officially the GOAT (while CR7 completely choked) . I am touched by the tears of Di Maria after he scored and after the equalizer from mbappe, you can really tell Argentines are playing for their country (like all the south american teams) and this feeling is becoming more and more rare nowadays.

It's also Karma for France and all the african players they snatched from african teams by giving away their nationality (kinda like what they did with Joel Embiid who received french nationality even tho he was not born in France, never worked in France, never lived in France, doesn't have any french parent...). Also glad trashbags like Benzema (multiple times sentenced by courts, tried to blackmail a teammate with a sextape, banged a 17yo escort ...), Thuram (spit on a player in Bundesliga, as racist as his father..) and Rabiot (refused to be on the provisional squad list in 2018 cause he and his mommy agent thought he is "too good" to be on the waiting list and had to be in the final squad list immediately ...) won't get the WC title.

Eventually the only good news for France is that cars and french flags won't be burned by morrocan and algerian "fans" on the Champs-Elysees this time lol

Argentina dominated the first 70 minutes and then France exploded (Deja vu of the Netherlands game).  Then Argentina had it won in OT but Mbappe again would not be denied.  
 

A speciality completion (Penalty kicks) is so anti-climatic to determine a champion but I guess what can you do?
 

Mbappe was the best player.  Argentina was (so narrowly) the best squad.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a privilege to witness this final, that will go down as one of the greatest of all time. It's over, I'm hurting. Unsure if I ever one day will fell the joy that argentinians worldwide are feeling right now. Here's to the FIFA World Cup 2026, it can't come soon enough.

1994 officially the WORST final of all time

1986 too young cant remember

1982 i was born ffs so wouldnt know lol

 

we'll never get a final like that again, doubt 2026 or any near future final will come close.

Congratulations to Argentina on winning the world cup. Best finale I ve ever seen.

 

Watched simultaneously finale and welcoming our Croatian footbalers in capital city. I cant describe how proud I am of my country because in last 20 years or our six world cups we earned 3 medals. Just unbelievable.

 

Jusr for the record: Croatia has population of a city like Paris or maybe some suburbs in Brazil or Argentina and yet we still make astonishing results, not just in football but also other sports throughout short history.

I'm argentinian, 26 years old, and this moment i'm living i'ts just insane.

 

I was sick of listening all the haters saying that Messi is not that good, that there will not be anyone like Maradona, and the worst of all, that we will never win any World Cup again.

 

I'm so proud of my team, from MacAllister to Álvarez, from Di María to Martínez, from Tagliafico to Acuña... and of course, from Lionel Messi. I feel this world is a bit fair by now, giving him the most deserved cup, and the only one he needed to retire and also to choose him as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Times).

 

I'm not a big fan of Football, but here these things are lived with a lot of passion. Right now, you only have to watch to the streets, no matter where you live, to see and hear people celebrating the only thing that can make happy to his country: the FIFA World Cup.

 

Now i have to say thanks to the destiny of whatever thing that bring me here, to this life at this moment, so i can live from the flesh, how winning a world championship is.

 

And also remember that Mbappe said that latins does not have the level required to play a final match. I recognize he has a great future, but never underestimate your rival, no matter where are they from. That was a lesson we learned while playing against Saudi Arabia.

Excellent final world cup match, and I wanted Argentina and Messi to win it since the very beginning, so I was quite happy with the result.

 

To make things even more awesome for me, during the last 24 hours I also watched Avatar The Way of Water (epic movie! it's even better than the first one!).

These last 24 hours have been excellent 😎 ... Avatar 2 surpassing my expectations (it's even better than Top Gun Maverick!) and the world cup final that I wanted, both in the same day!!

Congratulations to Messi and Argentina. What a final, what an emotional rollercoaster that was. Mbappe after 75 minutes said hold my beer. The goat debate is over but it kinda has been already years ago. As a Ronaldo fan I have already acknowledged that years before this world cup. Mbappe already has 12 goals just in 2 world cups, insane. Don't know why people compared him to Haaland but they're both young and will be future best of the best. Looking forward to the league matches now.

C'mon you cannot say never when your press and some players always overstimate the rest of southamericans during qualifiers. A few days ago Your fans were chanting against France players you know what. You cannot put chants as an "attack" against other team.
