Final boss on Evil

So what’s with the yellow bar for the final boss? I fill it up all the way with melee attacks yet it seems to do nothing at max. No extra damage or stagger or anything positive. 
 

Any tips to beating felicity on evil? The rest of the game has been not too bad. But this boss… yikes.

 

edit: figured it out. Build up the yellow bar then do the teleport skill (LB + forward) which electrocutes him and stun locks for a few seconds. This boss was actually easiest to mainly melee instead of using ranged like the rest of the game. Best of luck
