This is one of my favorite games and the fourth time I got the plat. But the last playthrough was a bit tedious as I couldn't skip all cutscenes. I'm going with mostly the title and the green nature on this. Yoku's Island Express - I've been looking at this game for some time. It's one of those games where I got it, and I've been almost obsessively played the last days. That's why there's already a new update from I guess. I really liked this game, It was like a Metroidvania/pinball fusion. Never thought I would play a game like that. It was really creative and did not overstay it's welcome. It was fun to play through and just as fun to complete. I loved how you found maps on the collectables around in the world, so I really felt incentivised to to explore and just try to find the collectables instead of looking up guides for them. The small stories were pretty entertaining and also the boss battles (yes pinball bosses) were pretty creative. Never felt like I needed to pull up a guide either so that's a big plus. Taruta13 Posted January 18, 2023 Share Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) Now that Persona 3 Portable's list is out(and the game will come out in two days), I am tempted to swap my White game out for it... but then I'd have to shiny hunt another white-colored shiny Pokemon to replace Grimmsnarl and I don't feel like doing that. EDIT: Nevermind, that game is going to not be bought first-day due to some issues with trophies not popping despite the requirements being fulfilled. Have to watch for a trophy patch. I avoided it on release because of the dreadful microtransactions (complete with a shop orc who rubs his hands greedily in the menus), but that got patched out very quickly. If you liked the first game this is a definite recommend. I felt like it bordered just on the edge of “too much feature creep” what with a loot and crafting system, but it’s all pretty scalable. The core of the game, playing Pokémon with Orcs, is still as strong as ever. Popular Post MikkelEhlers Posted January 20, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted January 20, 2023 Got another update already: Putting Minecraft on brown is maybe a bit of a reach, but I do think there is a lot of brown from the dirt, and also counting Steve (The main character) Guess I could've put it on green as well, but I just did another green, so brown it is. This was my 125th platinum, so that's a milestone. It's also one of those that's been on my profile forever. 5 years and 5 months to be precise. I have been close to the platinum for a long time only needing some very specific trophies to get it, which I normally think is more fun to do, but in Minecraft I often just really want to do my own thing and don't care about the trophies. I admit for the last few trophies for the platinum I did use Cookiestmonster's trophy realm, which made it so I could get the last trophies without sacrificing my enjoyment in this game, which is most commonly just base building. I don't think there's much to say about Minecraft, everyone knows it. Really enjoyed Deliver Us The Moon, to the point where I'm strongly considering getting the sequel when it comes out next month, and The Medium was okay too. A decent story and good atmosphere, but the gameplay was just average at best. I'm thinking I may end up having to move Saints Row across to Deep Purple before I finish my chart, as scrolling through my list, I'm struggling to find anything else that would fit it or that I can complete! Enjoying the challenge so far though, have played a lot of games this month and enjoyed all of them. I did plat the OG God of War as well, but it doesn't really fit for anything other than Orange and I think The Medium is a much better fit. Yeah - Deep Purple is actually one of the trickier colours, I think - and my go-to, best recommendations for it, you've already platted in years gone by - Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Teslagrad! Two you might consider, that you don't have (and aren't terribly long games to do) are maybe Gone Home, or Trine: Enhance Edition? Saints Row the Third would be fine for Deep Purple if you need to though- a couple other folks have already pencilled that one in for it, and it doesn't bump for me, so feel free if you don't find anything else! I wish I still had Sayonara Wild Hearts to play, what a cracking game that is! Gone Home is a great shout though, pretty sure I've got that from PS Plus from ages ago. I have made the decision today to redo what I had for White which was Goat SImulator and will replace it in due time, I guess the reason I did it in the first place was because I wanted to rush and get onto the board, unsure why since we have a whole year, anyway with that out of the way I completed a 2nd game for the board and mine now looks like this. For Light Blue we have VA-11 Hall-A for PS4 and for Brown we have Blacktail for PS5, I was unsure if Blacktail fitted better in Tan but I decided against it and placed it in brown since I think it works better there.
