Popular Post WyndigoSpirit
Oh, hey! Tunic was actually the game I was gonna buy anyway, but had to wait for the physical for! Glad to see it's highly recommended! Also, thank you DrBloodmoney for the kind welcome! And everyone else for the rep! Wasn't expecting that! I will post my goals I think. It's not set in stone, but I got some good ideas from looking at other people's. What's good for the goose and all that. I ended up being a little wordy on some of my reviews so, since I'm posting anyway, I'll throw a few in so there's not a word salad on my next update. River City Girls I missed buying this game on Limited Run by a week. I shrugged my shoulders at the time, because buying it second-hand with crazy mark-up prices just wasn't in the cards. Buying it digitally was not a priority and I forgot about the game for a while. Cue River City Girls 2 coming out and PlayAsia offering both games at an actual reasonable price. Well, I wasn't about to miss out a second time! It showed up in my mailbox sometime in early February and it went straight into my Playstation. I played the first time solo and had a blast exploring the town! The game is gorgeous with it's colourful pixel graphics and the soundtrack is pretty good! It's not a game to be taken seriously with it's forth-wall breaks, self-referential humor and complete disregard for any sort of plot. The presentation is definitely where River City Girls shines. It's not a hard game, the bosses are awesome, and it's fun when you get into the groove. However, early game can be frustrating when you have terrible stats and few moves to work with. The enemies love to block forever, interrupt your combos, knock you out of the air and there's not much you can do about it besides get some levels on you. The hit boxes and invincibility frames are also hard to get the feel for and I was still whiffing attacks 'til the very end. If you're willing to endure some old-school jank there's enough to love here and you get to feel like an over-powered badass by the end. Getting 100% requires a bit of guesswork. All the guides said a second run to get the cats wasn't necessary but that's ultimately what got me the last percent I needed. It gave me an excuse to recruit my sister for a second play-through to finish up the leftover trophies. We both had a great time and it's a lot easier with two players! Spiritfarer I would watch my sister play this game when I'd come over for our morning coffee and chat. She'd casually be farming, building houses for her spirits and exploring islands for materials. I was so intrigued that when she pinged the last trophy, I not-so-discreetly asked to borrow it! After playing it, it wasn't quite what I was expecting and while it did have farming, fishing, building and exploring, it was fairly bare-bones. I was starting to get a little bored of the game-loop by the end. That certainly doesn't mean it's a bad game though, because the main draw of this game is the spirits. This is a story game at it's heart and it is fantastic! There's not much I can say with without spoilers, but basically, you take care of the spirits until they're ready to “move on” and you do that by solving their problems, going on adventures with them and listening to their concerns. That damn hedgehog was my favourite and she broke my heart. I have a soft spot for these games with sweet, happy visuals and sad undertones. Kao the Kangaroo I saw a trailer for this game on Youtube and thought it looked cute! It was also a collectable 3D platformer, a genre which always manages to inspire child-like glee in my old, shriveled up heart. This game is like getting a drawing from a young child. Objectively you know there's problems with it, but they're just so darn happy and passionate about what they gave you it's hard to completely trash it. Because yeah, there's audio glitches where the music and sounds went silent or turned into a garbled mess. There's about two good voice actors in the whole game. It crashed on me a few times. Yet, I can't think of a time where I wasn't enjoying what I was playing. This is just a simple platformer with nice graphics that you could probably finish in an evening or two. Kao does get a few elemental punches which you can use to solve puzzles, such as burning a spider web to get to a new area or using an ice punch to make platforms to jump on. It's a very easy game! I guess there was some issues with trophies not popping, but thankfully, they had been patched by the time I played.
Popular Post Duke_Ryle
Completed Guardians of the Galaxy for my maroon color and the 11th game for this challenge. The game had been on my list of things to play when it first came out. I'm glad I played it and I had a good time. My comments about it are essentially the same as everybody else. Voice acting, writing, visual designs of the characters and settings are excellent. There is a surprising amount of banter between characters and a surprising amount of it which is quite good. I found the banter humorous or insightful into the characters and their relationships. The voice acting is just magnificent and really allowed me to enjoy the dialogue. I usually take my time and enjoy the environments when I play games and here I would often wait around to see if any new banter between character would trigger. Because of this it took me about 40 hours to complete the story. Much longer than most people's time to complete. The combat is dreadful and its half the game. I started in normal difficulty then switched to hard because I found the combat too easy and became bored with it. However, I couldn't feel the difference between the two difficulties. The combat difficulty doesn't even really matter because it is terribly unbalanced. Standard attacks do too little damage and special attacks do too much damage. Combat essentially drills down to all 4 characters using their special moves, Quill using his elemental guns and then dodging around until the cooldown periods are over. It gets boring fast. Overall, I would casually play the game again just to listen to the dialogue and enjoy the environments. Changed: Pink (P4 Dancing), to something more pink (Maquette). Black (Awkward), to a better game (Grim Fandango) New: Orange (Shenmue 2), Purple (A Hero and a Garden) I've now got a pretty solid 12 I think! Popular Post sundrew
I haven't posted here in a while, but I've finished up 7 games and should qualify for Rainbow Appreciator. Amazing that all the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games are basically different colors of the rainbow, so a few more of those will be joining my list soon.
Popular Post Heather342
Time for another colour to be marked off the kaleidoscope card. Knocking white off the card with Shadow of the Colossus. This is a game I've wanted to play for a long time, but also because I knew how the story goes I kinda didn't want to play it too ?. First playthrough did have me feeling like a complete monster, but you need to play through the game a few times to get the plat. Some of the trophies were a bit tricky, I felt like I was fighting against the camera rather than colossi sometimes. The only tedious trophy is maxing out health and stamina, as you need to defeat approx 75 colossi so it's a bit of a grind. But overall I did enjoy and I am glad I played this game ? Completed colours: - Green -> Two Point Hospital - Tan -> Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered - Orange -> Dragon Ball Z Kakarot - Red -> Spiderman Remastered - Light Blue -> Legend of Dragoon - Blue -> Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC - White -> Shadow of the Colossus With that, I believe I can now join the ranks of Rainbow Appreciators ???

This one was about the same as cross but without a lot of necessary BS fights that one-shot even max-level characters. The cast is different, but the whole romantic endings part is the same. At least Akane is not a masochist. And yes, this game is another easy platinum but the last trophy for walking half a million steps took forever. Was thinking about Final Fantasy V there, but I'm saving that for my Summer Backlog Freaky Final Fantasy Summer. Also, fun fact: This was one of my games for Kill Your Completion but it failed its job, just like how Flonne failed to assassinate King Kreschovy(because he's already dead). Luckily, two other Kemco titles did that job for it(Ambition Record and Liege Dragon). Edited May 5, 2023 by Taruta13
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Just quoting my post from bingo bonanza: Quote I've also completed Cyberpunk 2077 for this and the Kaleidoscope Challenge, but unlike Platinum_Vice I've choosen the "Featuring a romance or romance option" square. It's a stacked platinum for me, so I knew what was coming, but I went ahead and finished the "relationship" quests way earlier this time, which actually unlocked some messages and quests I didn't had in my first run. Decided to go with Judy for my relationship, because like Johnny said: She grew on me. And after finishing the game I'm actually a bit sad how much she's been through and lost during the time the story took to unfold. (Apparently it's been months according to one of her messages I`ve got). I really hope the DLC gives us a chance to reunite with at least one character, like they did in Blood & Wine for Witcher 3. So that's another color for me
Popular Post SpaceCoresDad
Been a hot minute since I last posted. Luckily, I have an update with plenty of new games! Hardspace: Shipbreaker was the first new one I did. Yellow is absolutely its color, both in the trophy image, and in most of the UI in the game. It was EXCELLENT. For what's essentially just a simulator for taking apart spaceships, it did some really interesting things with the story. I won't give too much away, but it's always nice to see some realistic pro-union stuff in video games. I'd highly recommend people play this one if you like relaxing, simulator type games. Also, some incredibly attractive and intellectual individual wrote a trophy guide for it, so give that a shot. House of Ashes has a very Orange color scheme in its trophy image. Probably because it takes place in the desert? Whatever the case, this one was excellent too. I was pretty underwhelmed by Man of Medan and Little Hope, the previous entries in the Dark Pictures Anthology, but this one really knocked it out of the park. Brought me back to when the same studio did Until Dawn, since I would say they're about the same level of quality. Took a few playthroughs, but the story was good enough that I actually enjoyed it every time. Again, another easy recommend.Syndicate is one I just got done with today, and one that follows the previous trend of being games you can't play anymore. This one's shutting down in June! I got a lot of the online done a few years ago, but I needed to mop it all up then do the campaign as well. Honestly, pretty decent game! The campaign was pretty middle of the road, but I actually had a decent time playing it with a fellow trophy hunter. Not sure I'd recommend it given that it's going down in June, but if you want to chase a shutdown there's one for you! Feeling decent about my chances so far. Here's to more!

Popular Post Taruta13
So another on the rainbow, though it was only because the other option(Final Fantasy IV) was delayed until June for the Summer Backlog Challenge. On 5/5/2023 at 6:05 PM, Taruta13 said: Complete Games (and the Legendary Pokemon represents): Light Blue: Asdivine Cross (Dialga from Pokemon Diamond) Orange: Disgaea 4 Complete+ (Solgaleo from Pokemon Sun) Purple: Asdivine Saga (Lunala from Pokemon Moon) Deep Purple: Ambition Record (Miraidon from Pokemon Violet) Just like the Pokemon repping Color #4 is banned from speed-running and the reason everyone picks Pokemon Scarlet for the Gen 9 speedrun category is because it likes to fart out glowing trails that lag Pokemon Violet to a CRAWL(thanks Game Freak ), this game should be banned from being on the Playstation due to one nefarious underhanded method to force you to grind. As I sit here sipping Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar Creme Soda chilled by my clever investment in a cloth portable cooler and ice packs that don't actually have condensation, I ponder why Ambition Record failed in its namesake. It's another KEMCO RPG with Final Fantasy like combat done with awesome 16-bit 3D graphics, all the boosts are there... And then it hits you. Like the Final Fantasy III I am playing, your characters have jobs. You start with most of the jobs already(warrior, spellcaster, archer, thief, and priest) but there are two special jobs that require work. One of these, the Swordsman(which is just another warrior - there are only four types of weapons in the game so all warriors use swords) is earned by completing a side-quest. Side-quests are taken like guild missions at the mercenary base. Oh yeah, did I mention this story is about a band of mercenaries forming a resistance to stop a King who has is absorbing the power of Dragons to summon monsters? Yeah, typical fantasy trope jank. The OTHER two, Fortune Teller and Minstrel, however... those are utter BS. I'm sure if you played a KEMCO game, you saw that little shop option that sends you to two options - a 'cash shop' where you exchange points(which you earn every three battles) or a sort of crafting system, only it's not a crafting system, it's a veiled gatcha mechanic similar to Asdivine Saga's Box Breakers where you pay more points to roll the dice and maybe get really good equipment. I am going to quote the 'guide' posted on TrueAchievements(the X-Box version of TrueTrophies, because TrueTrophies doesn't have a guide) on why this platinum is BS... Quote The Fortune Teller and Wandering Minstrel achievement require 2 books that you can unlock from the crafting menu in the shop section and add between 1 to 8 hours of extra time, depending on your luck. After obtaining the book you can unlock the class for one of your characters and can clear the course of 3 fights very easily in Francia City, inside to building to the right of the city at the right counter under Special Job Course. That's the short version of the solution, but there is more info i want to add. To have a chance to pull one of the books you have to invest tickets or ARP, the currency you obtain after winning 3 fights. The best thing you can do in my opinion is to save your ARP to buy Ultimate Berries for 250 ARP and pushing the STR value of one of your chars. I reloaded my save if something else than STR goes up after using one of the Berries and saved before the first attempt and after each successful attempt. That way you can obtain 200 STR for 250 ARP and the best thing is there is no cap like 999 STR. You want to have a very strong fighter to win the Extreme Course in the same arena where you can do the course. This course give you a ticket after winning 3 hard fights. Needless to say you should attempt this achievement at the end of the game. Your goal is to knock out enemies very fast / one hit to breeze through it, collect your ticket and repeat this course as long as needed. Each time you invest a ticket the prize is removed from the pool, raising your chance to win of the books you need. You can see to exact chance at the prize list, but make sure to NOT RESET it, otherwise all prizes are available again. Some of the lower value prizes have more amounts to win and only your luck decide if you can unlock both achievements in a short amount of time or in a long amount of time. Please note that you CANT reload if you use your ticket and don't pull one of the books. That's right. You have to FARM the Extreme Course in the arena that is in the second city to get Premium Tickets(otherwise you'd have to pay 100 points per craft) to have a SMALL chance at getting either a Foresight Book to unlock Fortune Teller for ONE character, or the Fascination Book to unlock Minstrel for ONE character. Yep, if you want all four heroes to get those jobs, you have to get FOUR of these bas****s. While the chance to get the books increases, it stats at a lousy 0.64% and slowly increases to over 1% every time you get something else. Oh, and you can't save scum this as the prizes are set when you the tickets. And yes, I had to get Premium Tickets because you don't want to waste your ARP on this casino charade. I reached all of the other trophies on Day 1. These two trophies, which also require you to do the special training courses for those jobs, so you need to unlock the job and change the character to that job to participate, took me TWO DAYS TO FARM. I had to get Ultimate Berries to pump one guy up to over 1000 ATK because the final battle in the Extreme Course is so utterly unfair. It has a wizard that casts a wall that sends all the damage you do to him with physical attacks back, which means my guy died when he tried to hit the wizard. (He only does it on Turn 3, so priority #1 is the wizard) a priest that heals everyone, and two warriors that hit like dinos and can one-shot you if you are not max level and have the best armor and weapons in the game. AND YOU HAVE TO FARM THIS BATTLE TO GET PREMIUM TICKETS AS ARP TAKES FOREVER TO GET. It took me a ton of these Ultimate Berries(which you need save scumming so that you get 200 ATK for all four berries), which meant I had to farm weak enemies to get 250 ARP to buy them. (SIGH) If it wasn't those RNG trophies, this game would be a typical KEMCO RPG, but this is unforgivable. Thankfully it seems that Kemco learned their lesson and haven't done that again in future titles, some which I still have to play, like Liege Dragon. Sorry, had to get this off my chest. Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
7th game down? Yeah... BINGO! Errr, I mean RAINBOW (Did you know Rainbow had 7 letters in it?) Chalk up 13 Sentinels for Grey for me. I really enjoyed this one. The way the story is told and how the big picture is slowly pieced together was really cool. I hate when stories just lay down everything at the beginning instead of just allowing yourself to get completely immersed into the world. I won't spoil too much, but if you like mind benders, definitely give this one a try. It deals a lot about time travel, mechs, and the apocalypse with plenty of twists along the way. My favorite character was probably Natsuno. Natsuno's story was just kind of funny because you get a lot of men in black vibes while she's completely oblivious to the big picture for most of her story. I also really liked the twists in Ogata's story and in Juro's story. Those kind of blew my mind, but I did catch on to Juro's twist, but I won't spoiler where I caught on Also, if you are into anime and movies, there's plenty of references that sort of stuff. The Madoka Magica stuff legit made me laugh. Probably why Megumi was one of my least favorite characters. Like, how did she believe any of the witches stuff? Anyways, dead set on focusing on Tales of Arise. Hoping to get it done by the end of the month if possible. Popular Post damcrac5
Couple updates to my scope. First, despite getting the thumbs up for Rise of the Tomb Raider counting for white, I'd much rather put the new Sifu DLC - "Arenas". It was hard. Probably one of the hardest trophy sets I've earned on my profile. But the more I kept at it, the better I got, and by the end, I was having an absolute blast. If I didn't have such a huge backlog (see my next game) I would've probably tried to find the game on PS4 and add that stack. Playing on normal difficulty to spice things up. For blue, I've decided to skip over my Hellblade: Sennua's Sacrifice plat to go with one of my earliest memories of gaming. Just the opening boss fight, to crossing the bridge gets me excited as I have no doubt I'll venture back into the game multiple times for that feeling. Overall, the pixel remaster makes the game a breeze. I only used the gil boost, and the only challenge was the patience to find the warmech for the bestiary. With all the Final Fantasy Pixel remasters lined up with multiple colors, I'll be looking to work my way through more of them for the event. For now, I hope to have the patience to get my account back to 100% as I'm jumping back into Mass Effect Andromeda. Happy Gaming, everyone.

I can see where a lot of old folks like me have that feeling of the classics. These pixel remasters completely capture that feel. I'm playing through FF2 now and playing all the games with original soundtrack. Actually started the FF series with FFIV on the SNES, so it'll be interesting when I get to that title. (I've played FFIV Randomizers but this is a new experience for me. Already starting on FF2 and FF3.)
Popular Post Heather342
Wasn't expecting to post again so soon, but 8th colour has been completed on the card - Grey? I started up this game yesterday as a little bit of trophy filler (I like to plan out my trophy milestones on my profile). But this was quite a charming little indie platform puzzle game and a nice little break from the grind I have going on with other games. I did both the base game and the DLC, but this is a 100% non-plat game. On to the next! Popular Post YaManSmevz
What's crack-a-lackin, my color-lovin cronies?? Time for another monthly yap from yours truly, and surprisingly I feel I did pretty well this time around! Light Green went to Valfaris, which I genuinely can't say enough good about. I loved the metalhead vibe, the Contra worshiping gameplay, and the 16 bit presentation. This game also nailed the ideal challenge ratio in my opinion, because while it can be pretty difficult, it's so fun and so rewarding to conquer sections or figure out a boss' Achilles heel that all the dying (a lot of dying) comes with minimal frustration. If you love side scrollers, metal, and a good challenge, I highly recommend this one. Treasures of the Aegean came to my rescue for Pink, and for me in general really, cuz it's also a pretty great game! This one is a time-loop sidescroller with a great comic book feel to it, and while the controls have a touch of jank to them, I really enjoyed the crazy parkour-fest it offered. You run, climb, swing, and baseball slide your way through a startlingly massive 2-D map and solve clever puzzles to retrieve ancient artifacts. Which is another great aspect - even if you're not a history nerd, all the Minoan stuff is fascinating, from Linear A to dolphin frescos. This one is criminally underplayed, so again, highly recommended! I subbed out my initial Purple game for Hue, and I'm really glad I did. Short and sweet with chill but clever puzzles, and I mean could a game possibly be more fitting for this challenge?? You're literally solving puzzles with colors!! The 2-D platforming gets a good amount of seasoning from the palette mechanic, and I don't care how dumb this makes me sound, but the last few sections actually stumped me a few times? Finally, the 2-D streak is broken by my (and many others, I suspect) Maroon game Pyre. The whole NBA Jam RPG thing is absolutely brilliant (of course it is, it's freakin Supergiant) and the gameplay is addicting as shit. The characters are fun, the lore is shockingly deep, and it looks fantastic. The story is pretty short, but you quickly become attached to your fellow exiles, as there's a great sense of "us against the world" here that's very easy to get swept up in. And let's not forget Darren Korb, who slaps together yet ANOTHER stunning soundtrack! Pyre is hardly as uncommon as the first two games in this post, but it's another one that I'd definitely classify as a must-play. Okay! Sorry, this one got super out of hand. Next time will be a lot less demanding on reading eyes, as I'll be going back to paying more attention to the PS3 backlog. Thank you so much everybody for posting all your bad ass progress, and thanks as well for reading all my crap? Peace out!

Popular Post Pray_4_the_End
I've got a handful of games to add to the collection. Gravity Rush (Vita) - Crazy good Vita game that I waited way too long to finally play. Uses the motion controls for the Vita better than any game I've played on it thus far. Also a fan of the comic book style narrative and I'm for sure gonna be checking of the sequel at some point. Shantae and the Pirate's Cures (PS5) - I enjoyed this Metroidvania/Action-Platformer more than I initially thought I would going into it. I'm not really all that good at these kinds of game so it was a challenge at times but nothing too terribly difficult. The OTS slaps and the game also has some awesome trophy tiles which is always welcomed. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Vita) - Another Lego game down on my quest to complete every Lego game released on Vita because... reasons lol. This was the last one released for the system and it plays pretty well. I don't think I ever watched TFA when it first came out so I was learning seemingly important SW lore while controlling Legos and that was pretty amusing. Agatha Knife (PS4) - I bought this game on sale a while back cause the trophy tiles were some of the sweetest I've seen and it ended up being weirdly good. It's a point and click adventure type of game with a dark and charming vibe to it. I ended up getting the other 2 game from this studio Mango Protocol (awesome name) during the same sale cause they too have amazing trophy tiles that I need in my life.
Popular Post gamer_darkly
Update No.3 I’ve managed to play a few games I’ve been looking forward to since my last update and all of them have worked for this event. I imagine a lot of people are already familiar with Demon’s Souls (grey), Horizon (light blue), and Code Vein (tan). It was great to get back into Ghostrunner via the DLC (green.) One of my favourite games from last year. Kill It with Fire (orange) and Job Simulator (light green) were both a really good laugh. I’d definitely recommend both for a few hours of light-hearted chaos. If you’ve noticed my name coming up as a visitor to your profile it’s probably because I've been scouring your game list for colours I’ve been struggling to find games to fill. Which brings me onto Need a Packet? (deep purple.) One of the most bizarre premises for a game I’ve ever seen. I don’t want to spoil it to much but I will say that it took me a couple of playthroughs to realise I wasn’t actually a drug dealer getting high on my own supply. For a couple of quid it may be worth checking out.

I played the main game a year and a half ago and had a good time with it but haven't got around to playing the dlc yet. I have purchased it already but that is as far as I have gone. I will have to find some time to fit it in. How long did it take to finish you figure?

I'd say probably like 5-6 hours, but that was also because I decided to grind through the first gift for the Tzar again and part way through the second just to get my level up and get the tools I would likely need - since I didn't have a save that was before the end of the game. There's a Russian guide posted in the game's forum that's pretty helpful, but a lot of it is pretty cut and dry. I will absolutely recommend making sure you have a back up though; not just to save scrub to get all three endings but because more than once the game froze on the "What will Ivan do now" screen, especially if there's two pages of quests and you try going back and forth between them.
Popular Post BeesTrophies
Update: Orange is complete with The Quarry. Starting to notice a lot of games at the top of my list have black backgrounds so I'm hoping I can find something in my backlog to keep this going lol
Popular Post WyndigoSpirit
I finished A Way out for my Yellow! Working on Green next. A Way Out I played It Takes Two with my niece a while back and she was lamenting that she wanted to play another game with me. So why not? While I'm pretty sure my game partner had more fun with It Takes Two, a game with more meat and variation to it's game-play, once we escaped the prison and she had to drive us away from the police, she was hooked. We spent way too much time playing non-copywrite-infringing Connect Four and balancing on wheelchairs. We even went back to replay some of the combat sections after finishing the game. We each shed a tear at the end and she insisted we watch both endings. If you have someone to play with, this is a great time! Yakuza: Like a Dragon I know nothing about the Yakuza series beyond it traditionally being a beat 'em up. I have vague memories of my friend playing one of them ages ago and being bored because he spent more time explaining the menus to me then actually playing the game. Knowing Yakuza was a beloved series, that I like RPGs and that LAD had good reviews, it seemed like a good place to jump in. I bought it during a sale and forgot it was on my shelf for months until it released as one of the free monthly games on PSPlus. No one said I made good life choices. The story was slow in some places, however, I always kept playing to see what was going to happen next. I got so invested in these characters! I took them to every restaurant while they commented on the various landmarks, had drinks at the bar while cheering our friends on as they sang some karaoke. I played baseball, golf, arcade, went back to school, gambled and got into underground go-karting. All while you're trying to help the unfortunates in Ijincho. There's always something to do. Then you get to the combat. It's not bad, just simple. I found myself putting them on auto-battle until I got to a boss battle and because I was doing all the side-quests as I went, I ended up being slightly over leveled for most of the game. Well. At least until one of the last few chapters, when the game strongly suggests you spend some time leveling up, and I, like an idiot, thought “Nah, I'll be fine.” I was not. I beat the game, cried a little, laughed a lot, and braced myself. For it was time. True Final Millennium Tower. The make or break trophy for your platinum. I stocked up on drinks, curled up in my coziest blanket and watched youtube. Oh. And leveled. I was on auto-piliot. I spent about a week, 2-3 hours a night just murdering hobos and watching my numbers go up. I got three jobs on each character to lv99 and the rest to lv30. I spent some time getting everyone their best weapon and stocked up on healing items. I was ready. I stepped into the Final Challenge ready to spend the whole night trying and failing, struggling my way to the top! I beat it on the first try. I had over-leveled and it was easy. Whoops Sonic Frontiers I was a Genesis kid growing up, so Sonic has been a large part of my gaming history. I had mostly stopped playing them after the Gamecube, but hearing Frontiers was good, I figured I'd give it it try. After all, the last 3D Sonic game I had played was Forces and it can't be worse than that. Sonic Frontiers was mostly fun. The large bosses were pretty darn spectacular and were a definite highlight. Thank goodness the game lets you play around in the options so Sonic doesn't move like he's always on ice. There's no way I could have played with defaults. The levels were a bit short, but a nice change of pace from the open world parts. The gameplay-loop of getting multiple different types of collectibles was getting a bit tedious by the end. The game has a good skeleton and it would be great to see what they do with a sequel, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
