Popular Post Breakingthegreen
I had my grey one prepared, Beholder 3, sequel to one of my hidden gems of the PS4 era, Beholder complete edition. And this one was going back to the landlord roots of the original, yay! Some reviews mentioned a few bugs but I'm sure it was nothing to worry about... So anyway three full playthrough attempts later, I've 100% my 15th game and it's pink and it's Gang Beasts I've played this game with my brother for a few years now, it's a tonne of fun, and the only reason I decided to get the rest of the trophies was purely because I was angry at Beholder's glitches... (this must be how the PC players are currently feeling.) There's not much I can say for the review, it's a physics based brawler in the same vein as Human Fall Flat and Totally Reliable Deliveries. It's made to played in local multiplayer but the trophies don't gel with getting any of them naturally, hence why I had only managed to get 6 of them in my natural play.. You should absolutely give it a play, but the high price point is definitely questionable if you don't play games locally and would for you recommend a skip. ... I guess the music isn't memorable, it's genuinely hard to write a review for this game that conveys anything objective feeling, while also emphasising that much of the things that make this game janky, also make it so much more fun, a bit like a more polished Goat Simulator.
Popular Post D4T-V4UL7_HUN7R_
Number 13 Completed with Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. Enjoyed this one for the most part. The combat did get quite repetitive by the end though, and the 2 second silent pause between every single line of dialogue was about to drive me insane lol. But this game did bring me some nostalgia of watching the TV series as a kid, and I might have to go re watch it and maybe check out dragon ball super as well Edited May 16, 2023 by D4T-V4UL7_HUN7R_
Popular Post rjkclarke
Back again to add two more to the list with a Purple and a Light Green..... Gotta keep those sides even or one might look more naked than the other one.... Okay I guess now the slots are starting to get filled the naked jokes are going to have to wait until I'm on a second Rainbow. So for my Light Green as you can see I went with Yooka-Laylee a pretty interesting little game, and if you want to read some quick little thoughts of mine about it, I'll chuck some down in a spoiler tag below.... Spoiler Oh boy..... Where to start with this one..... So Yooka-Laylee has plenty of charm, that's a given, but can it sustain itself on a diet of just nostalgia and charm alone? From my perspective, not entirely. I think I'd better at least say off the bat (pun intended ) that I had quite a good time with this game - and yes I do like it, a lot - and I very much enjoyed it for what it is.... and that was a lot of uses of the word and, rendering it forever pointless .....but anyway, back to the game...... what it is, is also part of where it falls down a little bit. In essence Yooka-Laylee is an N64 game.on a PS4.... but it didn't need to be.... If I was Yooka-Laylee and I was sentient..... yes stay with me for a moment here.... I think this would be my reaction Did I want an excuse to insert a Doctor Who gif somewhere? Yes, do I mind?.... Absolutely not.... Petulant David Tennant berating a lovely old man who only wanted to help, completely out of context aside, this really is true of Yooka-Laylee, it could do so much more.... You can see it littered throughout the game the blatant potential there to go beyond just a hefty dose of nostalgia. The characters are charming, the locations are pretty and incredibly varied, the art style is vibrant, vivid and colourful, but in the end, I often just found myself thinking to myself "This doesn't feel like a game from the 2010's" and I feel like it probably should have done... A game can be both an homage to something, and also innovate, and I really wish it had of done. That being said, and mad waffle aside, I liked it enough that I want to play Impossible Lair at some point in the future, so there's that I suppose And for my Purple, I knocked out Last Day of June which was an interesting little game to say the least, and to spare all of your eyes, I'll throw my brief thoughts about those in a spoiler bubble below also, should you want to read them. Spoiler I really don't quite know what to say about this one, anything I really say would give away spoilers, and as this is primarily just an interactive story game, with some puzzles thrown into the mix, I don't really want to spoil any of the story for you....So this one might end up being a little short.... Don't all celebrate at once, like Fret not though, because whilst I won't mention the story..... Last Day of June absolutely will hit you over the head with it repeatedly and stomp you into the ground with it as if you were either a tent peg, or a Goomba.... You choose. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just that Last Day of June is a game that falls into a similar category to something like Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. it's important and the message is a rather deep and emotionally impactful one, but you aren't going to come away from the game clicking your heels to Walking on Sunshine.... Although, that being said - listening to that song might put a spring back in your step afterwards There's plenty to appreciate though even outside of what I just mentioned, with an incredibly abstract art-style and an interesting soundtrack, the game does do a very good job of creating an off kilter atmosphere. It also has some incredibly masterful use of sound design, which for spoiler reasons I can't talk about, but trust me on this one, it's incredibly well implemented, with lots of attention to detail, and I can and always will appreciate that. One final thought.... and this one might be my own abstract and slightly unusual film buff reading of this game, but aspects of this remind me of what a collaboration between both Henry Selick and early Videodrome/ The Fly era David Cronenberg might turn out like, if they were the ones turning Groundhog Day into a movie, I don't think it would be unlike this actually. See you all in the next one folks..... Which I have a feeling will either be a Yellow or a Pink entry.... Or neither, because I'm indecisive as an F word.... Yes I know you can use that without censorship.... Yes I'm a fanny! See you soon probably!

Any Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster can count as white, thought FFVI is a stretch as the picture blots out the background a lot. I also tried to use Dragon Quest XI S as Maroon as the icon is the logo on a deep maroon background, but that game may not be for you. I used Final Fantasy III for light green. Heck, any Pixel Remaster works for white and those games can be made easy by the in-game boosts that quadruple EXP and money gain. (Stat and skill gain for FFII) Was referring to the PS3 Ni No Kuni I also still think this could pass as maroon if you use a lighter pink for a color. They don't have to perfect. Just relative. I don't think this is "Taking the piss" in Doc's words. But I don't make the final call on it. However, I thought I saw someone else use it as maroon, but I could totally be wrong. A shame, as I would definitely consider it a shade of maroon as well. It's only a slightly lighter shade than the panel itself. And FF6 looks a stick-on for red for me. I'm starting to think I must have terrible colour-perception hahaha. Edited May 17, 2023 by Finch_III

Taruta13
I just platinumed Liege Dragon but sadly, the game's icon colors are all over the board so I can't use it in this event. Popular Post Duke_Ryle
Finished Axiom Verge 2 for my pink color and the 12th completed game for this challenge. I really like this game. I hadn't played a metroidvania type game in like 15 years and it scratched an itch I didn't know I had. It makes me want to play more metroidvania type games and I put axiom verge on my backlog of games to play. This should put me in the "Rainbow Warrior" category. For my last 4 games I'm thinking of: I am Setsuna for light green Legend of Mana for yellow Afterparty for purple and for black I'm not sure yet but I'm thinking of Braid. Completed Colors: Tan- Little Hope Orange - The Medium Deep Purple- Gone Home Grey- Skyrim Green- Oxenfree Brown- House of Ashes Red- Stranger of Paradise DLC: Wanderer of the Rift. White- The Devil in Me Light Blue - Resident Evil 2 Remake Blue- Fallout: New Vegas Maroon- Guardians of the Galaxy Pink- Axiom Verge 2 https://imgur.com/ocynyPs

Popular Post WyndigoSpirit
Green done with Secret of Mana! This was one of those games I missed growing up, always having heard of the amazing RPGs on SNES. This was one that usually was mentioned as one of the greats. Apparently, something changed. I went to look up something while I was playing it and found link after link of articles telling me how much this game sucks. Time is fickle, I guess. I guess the important question is, did I, someone with no nostalgia whatsoever, enjoy this game? And yeah, I did. It certainly feels dated, an experiment between an action and turned-based RPG that never quite gels, but it's short and cute enough that I, mostly, had an enjoyable time. I say, "mostly", because then the trophies barge their way in. Having to stop to farm 15-something rare item drops, all bunched at the end, which took me anywhere from 15 minutes to 4 hours each... I was pretty glad to be done.
