Attack on Completion 2023

We all need motivation somedays, and as that played backlog grows, it can seem too much to make a dent in it. This challenge is to move in the right direction. Many have been apart of this for years. For those that have been hampered down, and like myself maybe took a step backwards, all you need to do is look above. Lets go one above, and it it will get us that much further. 

 

This in now year six for AOC. I actually am still amazed at the support for this event. I want to give a shout out to my partner @Squirlruler, who's programming has kept me  from having  to tally this manually the last few seasons. This season we will keep the extra monthly goals but  remember that you do not need to do these in order to participate, but it may give some the extra motivation to really tackle these backlogs.

 

So tell me more? Ok so here we are working on completion PCG. As long as you are looking to increase that you can sign up. The goal is by year end to at least gain a 5% in your completion percentage. For some it may be more and that is encouraged. My motto last year was go big. But do what you can do. For those that are over 90 % that applies as well, set a reasonable goal for where you want to be. 

 

 So I am looking for a good say 25 players or more. Say you would like to join, give your starting pcg and what your goal percentage is.  After that is up to you how you raise your score. Do you go on one game until you earn 100%. Do you complete story modes or maybe just chip away at random trophies. There are endless possibilities. and this year there are monthly challenges to up the ante. 

 

So what are the rules? 

No cheating, shouldn't need to say it but you have to. Also the point is to play your games so games that allow you to skip playing it  such as Jak and Daxter should be avoided unless done legit.

 

Stacking is ok, but please no Autopopping. Same theory as above. Auto pops do not count for points for the monthly challenges. 

 

No hiding games you have started once the competition begins.  

 

 

Monthly Challenges

 

Below will be list of goals that can be claimed during a month. These are extra options to find ways to increase your completion percentage.  You can get complete more than one goal in a month but you do not get points for completing the same goal twice. For instance, one goal could be to complete a new game that you added to your profile that month. You cannot use that goal twice in one month, you can though get points for say also completing a game in another community event. You also cannot use the same game for various goals.  The next month you can again gain the points from any goal. For a game to count for a goal it must be from atleast the month prior 

Scoring

 

Each individual goal is 1 point

 

 10 points will be awarded when you hit the 5% goal or short term goal if you were over 90% to begin with. 

 

 hit that longer term goal and 25 points is yours. 

 

get points from every category, it will net you 50 points. 

 

 

Monthly goals:

 

Complete the game with the most common rarity on your profile. .

 

Complete the plat with the most rarity on your profile. 

 

Complete all the multiplayer trophies in a game. 

 

Complete a free game.

 

Complete a nonplatinum game

 

Complete a game for another community event

 

Complete the game with the highest completion percentage on your profile. For example, on my profile, Halloween forever sits at I believe 95% complete. This gives the motivation to finish those games that have those hard trophies. Must be from 2021 or before.

 

Complete a story mode from a game that you have not played in a year or more. 

 

Complete the oldest game on your profile. 

 

Complete a PS Plus game.

 

Snag 100 Trophies

 

Hit a PSNP milestone on your profile.

 

Finish a DLC for a game you have already completed. 

 

Move 5 games up in rank :IE( e-d, d-c, c-b, b-a, a-complete) One of each.

 

Complete a new game added to your profile that month. 

 

Get a UR trophy. Game must be atleast two months old. 

 

Raise your score by a whole PCG point. 

 

If there are more goals I am open to adding them. 

 

Get a trophy from every platform you own ( PS3/PS4/Vita/VR/PS5)

 

If you do not own the game/ system anymore or it is unobtainable, move on to the next one in that order that could be allowed for that specific goal. 

 

These goals are not mandatory. You can as always just have fun, push up that completion and inspire each other to finish those games that have been left behind because there are too many games and not enough time. 

 

 

Begins Jan 1st 0001 Ends DEC 31st. 

 

Cut offs to sign up are February 1st 2023. 

 

I look forward to seeing some new faces and return players that may not have gotten all the way to their goal.

i have over 200 games to finish so i going to do my best so its most of them ps4 games and i going to start using my ps3 next year since i have games on there aswell so count me in for this event i have been thinking and i want to join aswell so my completion rate i want to get it up next year in the running of next platinum trophie aswell devil may cry 5 i want to get my completion rate above 25 and over a whole year i should be able to do

So what are my goals for this year?

 

I would say get to 75%, a better goal since I did go backwards last year

 

There will be no Vita games to beat as I sold it this last year. 

 

I also want to get to 200 overall completions. I am currently at 147. Ideally at least half of those are from games that I have already started. that would be a game a week. I have alot of shorter titles so I could get ahead of this at some point.

All being well, I should close out this year at around 97%, next year's plan will be to try and get to 98 - going much beyond that for the time being is out of my reach, due to most of my remaining missing trophies either having had their servers shut down, or being such a ridiculous time sink that I really don't feel like comitting to (looking at you here ESO).

I'm in as well. Will hopefully be able to focus a lot of many games I have recently started and just need to finish. That alone should raise me like 2% I think. But I think I will end around 88% (Hopefully 89%) so whatever that is +5%. I do plan on finishing more games from the PS3 era which should help a lot.

Count me in! I have already participated in 2020 and it was a great motivation during that time! It will be hard because much has changed in my life since then but the desire is there! Only the time is missing My personal goal would be to reach the 90%. Let's get these percentages!

I'm in again! I'll go for a more reasonable 6% increase in 2023 instead of the 10% I tried the last two years. Exact numbers TBD, I'll fill them in on 12/31/22. I'm also giving up all shovel ware / cheap plats for 2023 so having a lower % goal will help with that, too.

i going to do hard games only now where can i see what are the hard game i know a few like devil may cry 5  wolfenstein 2 crash bandicoot 4 its about time i dont know about the other games wich ones are hard for to finish

I enjoyed this years AOC, and whilst my overall percentage only went up by around 3-4% I actually got platinums and 100% games that I'd given up hope for. If that isn't what's at the heart of this event then I don't know what is. I'll be signing up again and just going for another 5% increase for now - I'll be running a D&D campaign next year, planning for Child #2 and moving house so, 5% is ambitious to say the least.

Currently I’m sitting at 77.73% I would love to see that number go up to 83%

i try to increase my % so i just play what i want i start with hard games and normal easy games aswell and games i dont have anymore due to sold are harry potter deathly hallows part 1 and part 2 ps3 diablo 3 original version ps3 the adventures of tintin the secret of the unicorn the ones i got digital and server close are assasins creed brotherhood revelations assasins creed 2 those i cant play anymore they are al sold i forgot to mention that

Count me in! This last year I jumped from about 50% to my current 55.44%. I have 852 games on my profile and 341 completed. My goal is to beat my % increase from this year and raise it 7.5% and settle around 63%.

Id like to get involved on this please! My current completion rate is 57.90% , with 9063 unearned trophies. Id like to aim for 65% and/or 7000 unearned trophies.  I'll try to update this monthly but knowing me I'll forget x)

Can you please add me this year, I am returning from the 2020 year which in which my starting completion was 36.17. my completion as of christmas day 2022 is 45.04, so my yearly goals is to get to 50.04' bye january 2024

I'm gonna have fun with this, It takes likw 6 trophies to raise my completion 0.01%

Go ahead and sign me up for 2023. 2022 saw me attain a completion percentage I thought beyond my reach and while I don't see me reaching another 5% increase I would like to keep chipping away at it.

 

Having just achieved the platinum for GoW Ragnarok, I should be back at 92% completion so by default the new goal will be 97%. However this coming year I will be probably playing more new games so my actual goal will be to stay above 90% overall completion. So this year I'll be here more for the community aspect rather than the goal.

i going to update only if i have unlocked a platinum trophie and my completion% is increasing that can be within a month ore longer because with hard games but if it are normal easy games i have been stopped playing ezpz games so i play now only normal easy and hard games i wish you all a merry christmas and happy new year happy hunting everyone

Time for a update i installed my games+dlc i restart base game from marvel spiderman and then i move to dlc trophies  for to unlock so that i have finished completely my 6th disc game i lost gamesave from marvel spiderman i got the platinum trophie already from marvel spiderman then i do detroit become human 4% i am now so all my games that i going to finish are downloaded i do trophie hunt tommorow

Currently a midge's bawhair over 80% (80.11%) and probably won't get too much higher over the next week or so.

 

I went super conservative with my target last year and seriously underestimated how much achieving older outstanding trophies would bump up my overall percentage, which meant I ended up reaching my target at the beginning of May. Won't be making that rookie mistake again. So in the spirit of go hard or go home, let's aim for 92.11%. At least it'll mean the target should be looming for most of the next year rather than being nothing but a speck in my rear view mirror.

Of course I will join again! This event has really helped me boosting up my completion rate. In two years I went from somewhere in the 58% range to 72%. I will take a similar approach as every year, will first go for the 5% increase.

 

I have made a to-do list and it looks like I have 71 games in backlog (which I actually want to play). Most of them the platinum or 100% is still fully obtainable. Will make a selection out of it to get to the desired 5%. But if my calculation is correct, I should be able to get to 90% one day...

 

Extra goal this year ; stay ahead of @Baco_Lesss in the Dutch listing ?
