Attack on Completion 2023

Little late posting last weeks update, work and running 10k every other day for last 2 weeks has taken up some gaming headspace in my evenings!

 

Not a huge amount of progress but I didn’t go backwards so I’ll take it! Just playing Borderlands 2 and Final Fantasy XII TZA at the moment, FF kicked my ass fairly early so I’ve decided to restart and go a little more methodically through enemy zones and perhaps even speed boost grind a little early on. 
 

Borderlands 2 I’m just going from side quest to side quest and following story in between, don’t have great guns yet, level 13.

 

Hoping to get some quality time in this half of the week!!

Dang we have some great progress! Some people getting 1%, 2%+! Excellent job! My stats are a bit misleading. I had two games that needed one trophy to pop to get the 100% in them, so my other started games that I haven't finished is pulling down my percentage a bit. Still please with a positive movement.

 

Overall, I think this was a strong month. We have lots of participation in the thread and it's great to see all the new and old faces. Let's keep smashing our backlog!

 

Oh, and sign ups are offically closed. You can join in spirit and doing your own tracking and post in the thread, but no one else will be added to the stat collection.

Not a lot of progress again but since my last update, I thankfully found a solution for the bug I encountered on RDR2 and although I wasted a few hours on it, I'm so glad I don't need to start again from the beginning. Only three more trophies to go for the platinum ?

 

Also since my last update I started boosting Firewall Zero Hour and it is a GRINDFEST! I think this weekend I will just be boosting that game and don't expect to earn a whole lot of other trophies. Although, I should really try and play RDR2 because I am dead set on having that as my milestone platinum and until I get that done, I won't make much progress on my completion goals or on the platinum difficulty challenge I also signed up for ?

January 2023

Alright so this month was pretty stellar for me. I got through 4 new games, finished off a 5^th, and made progress in a 6^th. I think the reason why I was able to get through so many new games this month is because they were PS3 games which were vastly shorter than most games nowadays. I got to say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself too! Been a long time since I could largely just play a game without having to constantly keep track of something for a trophy. There were a couple here and there I kept in the back of mind to minimize repeat playthroughs but most of those games had trophy lists centered around just playing the game. Level all weapons, destroy x amount of something, beat game on x difficulty. Very little here is a massive world with little to do but here is a checklist to complete at every single location on the map, have “fun.”

 

Playing all these games helped with several of my goals for the year. I completed 1 of the 4 Ratchet & Clank games I need to complete the series (barring stacks). I finished the last Sly Cooper game I needed (barring stacks) for that series. I finished the last of the inFamous games with the 2^nd game. I completed a game starting with the letter “X” for my A-Z Platinum list. Following the recommendation (thank you!) of another participant in this event, I got in contact with some gals (bless them) across the pond who carried me through the Survival Coop in Uncharted 4 and got the 100%. Then to close out the month and show an increase in overall completion I finally went back to Fallout: New Vegas. I earned the 4 different endings and just need a Hardcore run for the Platinum. I prefer plats to be my last trophy though so I will do the DLC’s first before completing a Hardcore speedrun.

 

Looking onwards to February, I will be playing Hogwarts Legacy. Hopefully, I can get that completed before March while also possibly finishing F:NV. Time will tell though. I will break 9,000 trophies for sure this month as I am mere 5 away at time of posting. Progress in other goals will most likely be minimal since HL will probably take the bulk of February.

10) Finish the last 3 letters I need for the A-Z platinum list. (Need Q, X, and Z)

January Review:

 

Finished two games on my backlog.  First one was The Council, which was pretty much a visual novel but actually kept my interest, except when I fell asleep during some of the dialog.

 

Second game was South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3) which is my proud achievement.  Being that it was on the PS3 and that I didn't have any save games on that console, so just started the game again from the beginning and enjoyed it, except for the collectibles which meant a 2nd playthrough. (And, I messed up a couple of trophies).   But, hey, it is DONE!

 

As of today, my completion rate is now 60.48%, an increase of 1.08%.

Weekly Update Time

Still continuing with the AC: Valhalla DLC, finished the Tombs, Siege of Paris and Dawn of Ragnark dlc's this week.

I don't mind how the game plays, but the sheer amount of collctables just gets massivel tedious after a while.

Hopefully I'll be able to finsh off the 2nd set of mastery challenges this week, and the final DLC, then it's likely off to play a few shorter things for a while.

Managed to pretty much finish the last Fallout 4 DLC this week - didn't quite enjoy it as much as the other ones, bit too long and slightly repetitive for my liking. The only trophy that I need for the 100% involves winning tokens at arcade games, which has turned out to be among the most horrifyingly grindingly repetitive things I've ever done. The target is 100k - which is surely a mistake in the trophy requirements no-one at Bethesda could be bothered to fix - after picking up some collectibles over all the rest of the DLC area I had 5k, which after about an hour of shooting ducks and whatnot is now up to 20k, which is seriously depressing. There is a glitch option available, however I can't quite seem to nail the mechanics of it, so unless I do I'll just be slowly chipping away at that ridiculous target for the next few weeks rather than having one multiple hour sitdown session to get it done, mostly to protect my sanity as much as possible.

 

Taking my first hit on the percentage this year and started Rogue. Never played it before (I missed quite a few console generations!) but it seems reasonably straightforward so far - it's a bit too early to say in all honesty, I literally only had half an hour before work on Saturday morning to get started on it, been a bit of a busy week. Still, as my Sunday evenings and nights are now free of football-related distractions until September (next week apart, of course!) there should hopefully be a fair increase of positive momentum over the next few months.

Brother's - A tale of two sons: 0% > 100% An interesting game where you control the two brothers at the same time solving puzzles.

 

The artful escape: 0% > 100% Another easy but fun platinum.

 

The Hunter - Call of the Wild - 17% > 22% Finished a few miscellaneous trophies. A lot of grinding left to do.

 

The order-1886: 0% > 100% I loved the premise of this story. Too many cutscenes and not enough gameplay for my taste. Very linear game.

 

Rocket League: 0% > 67% Accidentally popped a trophy while opening the game for the PlayStation stars campaign... IT dropped my percentage to 68 lol i was pissed. Started playing it to gain what i lost and fell in love with the game. There is something so satisfying in hitting that ball in the goal at a 100 mph.

 

Back log games i'm looking to improve upon or complete:

Thief - 28% (not played in years)

Mad Max - 23% (Unobtainable platinum due to server shutdown but easy trophy list for a 98% completion)

Marvel's spider man - 97% (New game plus and ultimate difficulty)

 

I need to stop starting new games and work on my backlog now but the progress has been very good so far on my goal percentage. Maybe i should have given myself a bigger goal. Only time will tell.

It's over 9,000! Not counting hidden games, I have officially crossed over 9,000 trophies. I also broke 94% overall completion and sit at 94.13% currently. 

 

On Saturday, I got some miscellaneous trophies in Sacred 2 as I lay down groundwork for the few MP trophies needed, I got a session setup and we all just need to agree upon a time and date. This is currently my oldest incomplete game, last trophy was in 2009 meaning this could end up beating BioShock for longest completion time (14 years)!

Sacred 2 31% > 34%

 

Today I worked on and completed 2 of the Fallout: New Vegas DLC's. Dead Money and Honest Hearts, I really liked the concept of both but given how poorly FNV runs on the PS3 it's an exercise in patience. For both DLC's I reverted back to older saves and played through separate files so even when I do get cool armor or weapons, I don't get to use them for all that long. It really puts a damper on things but I am nearly done, probably another 12-15 hours for the last 2 DLC's and a Hardcore speedrun.

Fallout: New Vegas 58% > 77%

 

I might be able to squeeze in a DLC tomorrow as come Tuesday I'll be starting Hogwarts Legacy! Have a great week everyone!

Started a few new games, earned 117 trophies and have a little decrease (0.05%). Not only started Life is Strange (and didn't obtain the platinum), but also started Miles Morales (PS4) (Already obtained the platinum for the PS5 version). Finished the story, now I only need to do some misc trophies and NG+. 

 

Upcoming week

- Platinum: Life is Strange (PS4)

Slow progress this week in terms of earning trophies, yet spend some reasonable amount of time on gaming...but read on

 

FIFA18 - PS4 - 79% => 80%

This was a real time waster. I finally made it to division 1 in FUT popping the  The big league. Playing so many matches after each other made me again aware how bad the game play actually is. And how scripted. Especially on Legendary level it just feels as if the game already decided if you win or lose. I have one misc trophy left and 4 for the journey which I will work on the coming week (s).

 

Assassins Creed Odyssey + DLC (5/6) - PS4 - 91%  => 95%

Finished the second DLC of Fate of Atlantis. End boss was a breeze compared by the starting boss. I did build a fully poison character and my bow is doing so immense (overtime) damage it is not funny anymore . Started the last part and final DLC. I am somewhere in the 30% mark I guess. Haven't popped any trophies but should be able to finish this part this week. Really enjoying the surroundings again!

 

Current Status

- continue playing FIFA 18

- continue Atlantis DLC of Assassins Creed Odyssey

Lego DC Super-Villains (40% -> 46%):

Ommggggg I'm sooo cloosssseeeeeee. Just have the last overworld hub section to finish and I will be done with the base game. I probably have about 2 dozen little items to complete. The DLC shouldn't be too big an issue to knock out, probably just going to use a guide because I am soooo doneeee with this gameeeeee. At least it will give a pretty nice completion boost since it has so many trophies lol.

 

Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! (Hanzo x Crimson Squad) (0% -> 92%):

I was hoping to finish this during the weekend, but it didn't happen, but, I am on the last grinding trophy (complete 200 songs, at about 160). So not hard, just takes time to complete each one. The only thing I wish this game had was a random mode. Where you pick a character to play as and just did one random song after another. There are only set playlists and I would much rather have random songs. But that is a minor complaint. Otherwise, I liked the game.

 

Going to be starting a couple new games this week. I think I might do Guardians of the Galaxy after Lego and I am not sure if I am going to do the next Senran game or Moe Chronicle on the vita next. I probably should spend some time doing Minecraft Dungeons but ugh, don't really want to. Wish there was a way of easily gaining gear levels. I am getting close to my next platinum milestone (150), well, fairly close, and I think I want Dark Souls to be that milestone. Maybe I will start that game next.

Hello everyone! So for this week almost nothing happened LOL The week went entirely to Overwatch 2 as I was trying to get the LV50 trophy before the end of the season, first because I was already at lv28 when I started and second cause since there's no new hero on season 3 I won't buy the Battle Pass. So I did it by friday and then finally came back to Crisis Core in which I'm stuck at the end of chapter 8 and trying to lvl up a little

 

Progress this week:

Overwatch 2 - PS5 - 98% - Now all that's left for me is the "play with a friend" trophy, which is bugged and won't pop if you already have the PS4 version, there's a possible workaround that I'll try after the Crisis Core plat, I'll also check season 3 for any possible patches (unlikely)

First February update. Made some good progress on games lately. I finally seem to have settled above 84%. When I start a new game it doesn't drop back to 83% anymore!

 

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition (23% - 100%)

Started in late 2022 so I could knock out the multiplayer trophies. Sat down and played nothing but this for a few days to finish it up. You can do all the campaigns on easy but it is still a lot of duke. 7 total campaigns with 7-9 levels each. Some levels can be done very quickly but most take 15-20 minutes, especially for a first time player.

 

Warp (23% - 80%)

Really old PS3 game I first played back in 2013. I dunno why but I had the urge to revisit it for months despite not really remembering much positive about it. It's fine I guess, just kinda a middling game. Of the two trophies I have not earned, one has been unobtainable years, and the other is a speedrun that seems like more trouble then it is worth. So I am satisfied with this being at 80% for the rest of time. Coincidentally right after doing this EA announced that this would have its servers closed this year. Except the servers are already broken, so it doesn't really matter.

 

Party Hard (0% - 100%)

Originally played this on PC years ago and loved it. Bought it on sale one time here cause I wanted it on my account. Finally got around to knocking it out. Still love it. I understand why some people would not, it can feel very slow. But when you get away with murdering 60 people at a party without getting caught, oh boy is it satisfying. Did all the bonus levels as well despite no trophies being tied to them. Has a really dumb trophy for playing the game 100 times though. As in booting up the game, loading a level, then closing the game again.

 

Hitman 2 (56% - 66%)

Was playing this last year but burned out on it once I had finished all the Hitman 2 content and needed to replay all the Hitman 1 content. Took January off from it and have now started up again because I really need to clear this from my hard drive. It takes up 125 gigs and want that space back!

 

Pinball Arcade (63% - 65%)

I finally did it! I completed a single DLC pack of 15 total! I am actually chuffed to bits by this. It was one of the easier packs, but in this game easier is still very hard. It's given me confidence that I can complete 1 or 2 more packs. If I can get this over 70% I will consider that a massive win considering I started this in 2012.

Week 5 Update

 

Starting PCG: 58.08%

Current PCG: 60.01%

 

Really happy to have hit 60%, those 10% increases in completion percentage are super satisfying to hit.

 

I finished off Saints Row 3 and got the 100%. Great game, more so when you get a lot of upgrades then the game gets more fun. The DLC was an enjoyable addition as well and worth the price that I paid for it (since I played the PS3 copy).

 

I also got some boosting on GTA IV done, with most of the work for the infamous Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic trophy done. Got all 108 races done, breaking the back of it at least! Just need @rjkclarke to step in so we can boost the rest of the stuff for it (hint, hint).

 

Lastly myself and @rjkclarke are nearly done with Resi Operation Raccoon City thankfully, we just have the S+ ranks on professional to do which we've made a start on already, completion for the game is at 91%, with the S+ ranks giving us that sweet 100%. Hoping to be done with this one by the end of the month at the latest.

 

Going to be tackling some more Operation Raccoon City this week, some Crash 3 and get Star Wars done at the weekend with RJ.

Not the best completion percentage increase, but something is generally better than nothing. I earned a few trophies in both Dysmantle and Back 4 Blood, and will continue to work on those in the future. But my completion will take a major dip by adding Hogwarts Legacy and Saints Row: The Third to my list this week. The goal is to minimize the decrease as much as possible though.

Diablo 2 went on sale again so I finally caved and got it this weekend. That set me back percentage-wise, until I knocked out the Reflection of Mine plat. I tried to do as many levels as I could without the guide, but they got way too hard for me. Made a little progress in a couple of other games and finally hit 100% in SOPFFO as well. The new DLC helps you get better gear to make the hard trophies in the 2nd DLC easier so that was nice.

 

This month is going to be tough since I'm going to start a couple more games that will take a long time to plat, plus Ishin comes out in just a couple of weeks. I might have to hit up some of those easy PS Plus games to keep my completion % from completely tanking before the next big monthly update.

Completed Fist of the North Star's story! Got some misc clean-up to do now, leaving me with just three trophies I'll have to start another playthrough for. Was a little worried about the trophy for getting a perfect combo on all songs, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Also managed to finish off all the challenges in Hitman 2's sniper mode, which I'm proper happy with.

 

This week, I'm planning to plat Sly 3 and then move on to Killzone Shadow Fall. Whilst I got the (base game) online trophies done before the server shutdown, I haven't even touched the single player campaign.

i am really glad i joined this event been playing some games couple of days now assasins creed rogue remastered i started playing 10% now its back to 1 game at a time i only completed final fantasy type 0hd i have also revisited some games in the trophielist but my backlog is a bit out of reach 300 games i hope i can tackle it a bit by bit my next games are assasins creed rogue remastered final fantasy the zodiac age and yooka laylee
