Great game - Highly recommended.

Just wanted to say that I thought this game was amazing and I really enjoyed my time with it! I'm currently still pushing for the Platinum but also wanted to open a discussion to speak more about the game with others!

Yeah, definitely worth checking out. Feels like the old Resident Evil gameplay got mixed with Silent Hill's atmosphere and it works. I was pleasantly surprised. It got a bit tiring towards the end when it started to become a bit combat heavy and the combat is not the best thing ever, but other than that - amazing game.

That's a great way to put it, a mixture of those classic survival horror games with a mixture of interesting new ways to explore the genre! I also agree it got a little tiring later in the game but I did really enjoy a lot of the areas. Currently struggling a little bit with Survival and it would have been cool if they had new game + items/unlocks!

Really solid game though, happy I picked it up!

Edit: I finished up the Platinum today and it was a great game. Solid 8/10 for me!

any missables for the platinum? multiple playthroughs, etc?

There are technically are few missable trophies due to exploration and collecting certain items but if you've ever played the Resident evil series, silent Hill or enjoy looking around to the best of your ability, you should be okay!

You can platinum the game in one playthrough but that means having to complete the game on survival + collect all the other trophies that are missable in one run. There isn't a speedrun trophy, which is handy for when things get a little tough. There is a great video from @optinooby that plays through the survival run bit by bit.

I personally did two runs, one for my normal run to enjoy the game and get the missbale trophies and then the second run to focus purely on survival!

Here is the link to Optinoobs video that helped with survival (but also doing one playthrough)

Very good game I agree. On Survival I played it like a survival horror where I dodged most enemies and only killed where strictly needed and I love that sort of thing. For those who haven't done much of that this ain't a bad game to try and see if you take to it. There is no save limit so if you get hit you can load your save and try again. Some rooms also straight up have configurations that allow you to walk past all of the enemies pretty easily too. Don't be afraid to die either because dying beyond giving you a trophy the 1st time and the 16th also has another effect which is your character actually gets stronger. Normally you die in 3 hits but once you die... 7 times? Enemies start needing an extra hit to kill you and at... 12? They start needing 2 extra hits.
