Should I get collectibles as I see them or all at once after the story?

I'm very early into the game and picked up a few batarangs but realized it only says "x out of y collected" for each district. Should I wait until the end because I'd just have to double check every location again anyway? Or do they eventually show up on the map with a collected marker or whatever?

I would recommend waiting until the end. I went through grabbing them as I found them and ended up having to watch a video to get some of the later collectibles in the game anyway, especially with some collectibles that only get revealed in the late game.

There's no map for the collectibles so if you do pick them up as you go and use a guide for the ones you missed, you may find yourself looking for something you already got.  Best to save them for later and use a guide to get them all so you don't waste time.

Use the mapgenie.io interactive map, i collected as i went, then post game went region to region using the map and found it smooth
