PS4 version glitched on PS5

I thought I would just post a quick note to say that while the PS5 version works perfectly fine (for the most part), but when I try to complete the PS4 version of the game on the PS5, most of the areas suffer from horrible graphical glitches making it darn near impossible to complete. Me being a werido, and having finished the PS5 version and knowing where to go and what to do, I am still trying to work through all the glitches, but I thought I would see if others ran into this issue. 

 

Having said all that, I do quite like the game with its PS1 type vibe.

I had same the same issues. If you make a save when it glitches the screen, quit the game, and reload the save, it will get rid of that glitched. But it may cause the audio to cutout, pause the game for a second, and then continue to play. This is the work around that I used. It’ll probably get patched soon.

oh, interesting. I will have to try that. I happen to be playing the second playthrough now (was hoping with the change in style for that second run that it wouldn't glitch....but it does. Always as soon as you leave the bunker that first time). I feel silly considering it is really only for another trophy. Thanks for the tip.

And hey, would you look at that. This seems to work. Super odd because I thought I had kinda tried this. I even deleted and re-downloaded its few times. This last time I even moved it over from the USB storage to the internal (as my PS4 games go to USB by default). Saving, closing the app, and then reloading the save does seem to work and now I can finally just get this down and move on  Thank you again!

Game is still glitched. No patch either and it evidently wont be. SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for developers nowadays. That's 6 glitched games on my system now. Not going to waste any more time with this one either.

Correction - This game was patched 6/9/23. I believe the patch fixed one problem but caused another. I tried playing it on my PS4 and the problem was the same. No ghosts show up so you can kill them and get the trophies. Platinum is unobtainable at this time.

I was using BadDriver's vid for this game. He stated that killing 3 ghosts was a requirement for trophies. Which ones I can't say because the trophy descriptions aren't explicit, and BadDriver didn't elaborate on which ones it was required for. What I do know is that the first ghost doesn't even appear where it is suppose to. Not going to attempt the PS5 version when the PS4 version is having these kinds of problems. Don't have a mobile phone so I can't be of any help there. If you deal with these kinds of problems, I can give you a list of games to look into. 1. Aery Calm Mind 3 - look at the leaderboards and forum posts and you'll see the problem there. 2. Temple Of Horror - crashes at the same point every time you try to play it. It's basically unplayable. 3. Trenches - both the PS4 and PS5 versions - the Hangman trophy will not pop. It seems to only do this to U.S. players. Something weird going on there. This seems to have started after that game was patched also. Pretty sad when patches have to be patched. lol Good luck with EpiXR games. Glitched games seems to have become their trademark.

I'll look into these in the morning, them get some PSNP+ Reports filed . The Hangman trophy seems to be glitchy, rather than outright  unobtainable - because there are a lot of recent US earners in the US stacks ?.

There is a trend I would like to bring to your attention. One I started noticing years back. If you have a lot of games, saved data and messages on your system, certain games will tend to hangup or glitch a lot. It was especially bad on the PS3 and to some extent on the PS4. I found if I deleted a lot of old stuff off my system, those games would run better. I make it a habit to keep my game systems purged because of that.
