So minor update: Day 3, I got a few trophies in Minecraft (Vita), as well as a single trophy in Wild ARMs. I did complete the two chapters in Disgaea 4 Complete+ and today I finally got off my jark, booted up LEGO DC Super Villians, and made a very cute fairy-winged ponytail girl with rainbow colored body parts called Princiris who dual-wields katanas as my Rookie, she got her first upgrade in the Heat Beam and the Justice League got kidnapped(no more spoilers), completing the first two levels. Just got into Metropolis and stopped there for the time being. Anyways, I had to be out of the house most of the day due to getting my hair cut, getting more thin rice cakes(which did not happen yesterday as I forgot that my local grocer doesn't have any in stock on Friday, I would have saved what I had then ) and swearing off of Keto Shakes because I keep getting red residue which sucks and soon I have to go pray at church so unfortunately, I didn't have much time to game today. I'll probably knock more stuff off tonight and, after gym tomorrow, see what I can do.

 

EDIT on early Day 5: I am sort of regretting putting both Minecrafts down on this list, I thought this would be a little easier, but the whole "play for 100 days" trophy is a bit daunting. Not only that, but I keep getting bad seeds where I don't find any Iron Ore. I'll see where this goes but if it gets worse, I may have to burn most of my swaps already to make the list doable.

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a great start to the Spring challenge ?

 

I did do a little bit more on Legend of Dragoon and Horizon Call of the Mountain before the start of the challenge. I was hoping to get more done on Horizon before the end of the week, but I think I need to recalibrate my headset again. I keep getting eye strain after short periods in the headset, but I never had this issue in the original PSVR. Think I just need to tweak it some more to find that sweet spot. What I have played of the VR so far though has been awesome, so really hoping I can stop the eye strain soon.

 

The majority of my week has been playing Spiderman. I've had a lot of fun with it so far, and swinging around the city is a very satisfying way to travel ?. I've managed to complete the first act and pick up quite a few miscellaneous trophies, then I jumped in to clear The Heist DLC.

 

Won't be able to make any more progress for a while though, as I'm now on holiday for a week away from my PlayStation, and then next week I'm going to Barcelona for a few days for a work conference. I'll have my Nintendo Switch to keep me company on my travels ?.

hi i wasn't going to join many of the events due to work and such but i thought after looking at my backlog and games i plan on playing for some time i might as well use this to help motivate me :D.  so here's my first just got the platinum in Witcher 3 loved the game and was well worth the wait for the ps5 update.

First update. Got a little more done in The Witcher 3 following a guide. I also started on Glass Masquerade 2 which will take a lot longer than the first one did now that you have to play on hard mode where you can rotate the pieces. 

Edit: Since it's only been a few hours I'll add the platinum I just got in The Last Campfire. This game is sad, and maybe not the best choice after witnessing the euthanasia of an 11 month old kitten with severe neurologic impairments. The ending really got me. Rip Toby Toebeans, this one is for you.

Normally I focus on 1 title at a time, but I found myself switching games frequently over these first 5 days and made significantly more progress than I had imagined I would. In FF7 Remake I progressed through chapter 6, but I spent the least amount of time of the 4 games I made progress.  Finished all the Scott and Knives based trophies for Scott Pilgrim vs the World and leveled up all my remaining characters to max.  Will need to finish a play-through with Steven Stills, Kim, Ramona, and Wallace plus all of the online trophies.  Golf With Your Friends has been mildly infuriating, even with video guides.  There always seem to be 1 or 2 holes that I struggle on and that has killed more than a few attempts at the under par trophies.  The Walking Dead I have to be selective about when I play it with my kid's playroom and the PS5 sharing the same room, managed to get through the first chapter though.

So I decided to focus on a game at a time instead of trying to do eight things at once.

 

With the help of "RRLAT2 - Final Fantasy 12 Order Of Ambrosia by Zer0skar_I PT1" to distract me while I pushed through(with the combat dupe glitch I was able to replicate enough apples to boost everyone's stats high enough where they were one-shotting normal enemy mobs), I was able to get Wild ARMS from the prologues to the Ship Graveyard, about 40% of the way through the game. Almost forgot to get Chaos and the Death Rune, thank the spirits that the rewind feature exists or I would have have to reload a save and kicked myself.

 

I am not using the save state feature as I heard that it glitches the trophy for killing all of the Golems and it won't pop, better to be safe than sorry.

 

Will probably put LEGO DC Super Villains after I finish Wild ARMs and get that platinum because I have to heard the voices of the DC villians for funsies. It does what LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 don't.

 

Still putting the Minecrafts in time-out and seeing if I have to burn my swaps for them. World of Final Fantasy and Disgaea 4 Complete+ will be put off until after my Orlando vacay as I just booked the ticket to Universal Studios for $418.54, which I have to pay my dad because the site would not accept my bank card.

Aw, now I am sad. As a cat lover, I feel for you. ? The house cleaner came over and dropped off a little black Labrador puppy which some coldhearted pet owner abandoned at a corner store to die. Mom said she would give it a new home, but I think she wanted me to adopt it. While I probably could handle a dog, it'll probably grow up to be a big dog and I don't like having to walk a dog. Sadly, my little shack house is not big enough to accomodate a litter box. My condolences for losing your kitten.

I have add one new game to my list: Samurai Maiden (PS4,EU). I bought it yesterday and it is fun so far (and the trophy list looks way more easier than the last game I played from Shade: Bullet Girls Phantasia, which platinum was a nightmare to get. "thanks" to RNG and grinding - so much grinding).

From my list, I got one trophy for Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star while finding back in the game and played a bit of Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance (No trophies yet, because the game only has trophies for playing through the game/bonus mode).

The games I played the most were Accel World vs. Sword Art Online: Millenium Twilight (currently in episode 11 out of 16 and grind a few titles out of the way, to ease up the post game grind for them) and DmC: Devil May Cry (PS4), which is gameplay wise way more fun, then the reviews/critics made made it out to be and I really like the level design with the changing/morphing environment, which gives you the feeling, that the city itself hates you and wants your death, but the story, characters and dialouges were written by an edgy 12 year old (Currently at mission 14 at a boss fight with post face lift Madonna and her demon spawn and the edge cuts deep).

Last two times I tried this challenge, I failed completely. Like, no progress at all. But I think I identified the issue. Aside from my normal issues, I just selected a bunch of games at random without really putting any thought into the choices. This time, I'm going to limit my initial selection to just five low progress titles I'm actually interested in playing. Will go from there.

This week has seen a little progress in MouseCraft (PS4) and... well, that's it - it's just been one of those weeks! The 100% shouldn't pose too much of a problem, especially if I follow some of the video guides that are available on YouTube. I just need to set aside some time for gaming again.

Hey loves. Day 7 of challenge, here's my progress.

 

I've completed The Pedestrian this was quite a nice puzzle game but dragged in parts (though some developments at the end kept things interesting).

I've played a lot of Catan. Really enjoying this though I found the graphics a bit jarring (I prefer a clean board look) to begin with. Not many games can make me swear at the screen but I've enjoyed some very close victories and loses. Not in a rush to platinum this but I feel it will likely be organically obtained after another 10-20 games or so.

Chained Echos has been fun. At times it feels a bit tedious but equally I appreciate a lot of the QoL mechanics. I'm digging the story at the moment, can't get behind the crystal system though. I've completed the first chapter and the world has opened up with an airship and the clan recruiting mechanic which is fun.

Off list, I've played Red Dead Redemption 2. I've read some platinum brag posts about this recently and it's the journey that I'm really jealous off. I got RD2 on launch but I found it too slow paced for me.. I feel this time I might play it in a more meditative style. I only plan to do the online trophies for now and I can clear the solo content during another challenge.

 

This week I'll likely play more of the same entries. Maybe try starting either The Forest or Steins;gate Elite.

So I am going to be focusing on Wild ARMS. (My profile can't update yet but I am at 40% in this game, not 32%.) I just got to the Outer Sea and actually cleared the Ancient Arena's four-round bout and located the Hayokoton enemy and killed one. Advanced the story past the (spoiler) fight and now am about halfway through the game. And all my characters are around Level 38. I plan on getting through the rest of the game tomorrow.

Mission this week was to try to get started on all games in the list, which I have nearly managed. Finally got around to finishing the story in Ni No Kuni II after finishing the penultimate chapter over 3 years ago. Unlocked a couple of miscellaneous trophies in Immortals and I think that’s a game I’m really going to enjoy when I devote some time to it. I’ve Started Mass Effect 3 having finished the first two last year. Never played the series before then but I have enjoyed it, I hear the third was the least well liked by most of the original trilogy so looking forward to see if this is a reasonable opinion.

 

I think most of my early time will be spent on Wasteland 3 and Shadow of War. If there is a mini theme for my list it’s sequels to games I loved, but that I never got far through for whatever reason. Have now restarted both for about the 5th time and think I should be able to get into them with the extra motivation. My other goals for this period include getting my unearned back below 5000 (yikes!) and getting my completion back above 70%. Both should be achievable if I complete the challenge but we shall see.

Update time just for the sake of one really!

 

I don't have much to really talk about. Finished first run on free play on Lego DC so it's mainly the open world and DLC to tackle now. Really enjoyed my first stint on a Lego game but heard mixed bags on the others so I might tackle the better ones.

 

Other than that I have been spending my time on the Spiderman DLC from the last challenge as it was on sale. Enjoying that aside from the usual crap of them dragging it out making you do more crimes and challenges rather than story missions I would prefer.

 

Hoping to finish that DLC and then nurse NG+ while I also make a start on Doom or Dishonored.
