Can you change seals mid-seed?

Looking at a guide for crafting seals, and I was curious about something. 

 

Say you get a seal on a dud weapon after 4 crafts, then when you reload, you do 3 crafts, then save. Then you make the seal acquisition weapon to acquire one of the seals in that weapon. 

 

If a weapon/gear has multiple possible seals, can you just reload that save over and over to cycle through the possible seals until you get the desired one? Or is the received seal predetermined for that seed, and if you don't get the one you want, you have to start all over?

You need to apply a seal and start over. The seal is pre-determined
