Darling Baphomet
This isn't in the guide, so I thought I'd make a post about it here. The easiest way to earn money that I've found so far is to recycle quartz gemstones with Francesca. You get these in abundance from filling out the collection book, and they can be obtained from completing quests and skipping stones into clams as well. With a day or two's worth of gemstones (around 300-400) you can get several hundred thousand gold, easy. And as far as I can tell, they're not particularly needed - I genuinely have no idea what to use these things on and even regularly using them as a bank I still have 1.5k or so left on day 20. You should keep selling things whenever possible for the wholesale trophies, however every other income source pales in comparison to recycling quartz gemstones.
GothGirlMaxine
Agreed! I've just gone back to this game to finish the DLC and that definitely is the best way to make money.
Tiffanniebaby
Quartz gemstones are mainly used to craft into higher tier gemstones. Personally I wanted the higher tier gemstones, and the guide book rewards are finite of course. There was at least once in my play through that I was wishing I hadn’t sold quartz gemstones and it took me awhile to get enough again to craft into better gemstones. You can buy them IIRC, also there's always a chance of getting them through repeatable activities e.g. skipping stones or searching for X spots. I got tired of decorating by the time I was a month into the game and so I ended up having tons of gemstones and nothing to use them for. There's definitely more reliable ways to earn money though, yeah - specifically planting as many fruits and berries as possible. Turn fruits into fruit jam and then sell in bulk. Once you unlock the accordion that mass harvests everything around you you can use that for tons of money and to make progress towards broken tools.
