Popular Post POEman553
I can't tell from this if the servers are shutting down after June 19, 2023 or the game is being delisted on June 19, 2023. It's not a lot of time to get the online trophies done. Based on this post, it's likely a delisting. Edited June 12 by POEman553
LaneBoyGoner
Even with boosting, SoulCalibur 5 multiplayer takes too long because of the servers being unreliable even if it's just the two of you playing.

At 240 online matches required with wonky servers as is, it seems like a really big lift even with boosting.
MrHealthy
A delisting was inevitable since it has Ezio as a guest character. Honestly would be surprised if its also a server closure since SC2 is still online. Unless that is peer to peer? It can be done if you have a dedicated boosting partner, iirc I finished boosting around 4 days and that's just playing from 6pm - 11pm and we did it with trading wins. I believe it will be much faster if the mp wins will be focused on one. There was one time where we can't even connect to each other and that's the only problem. Even so we did fast wins with a setup using Lizard and an arena with ring outs, just use Lizard's forward thrust to instantly throw off the opponent for a fast win. I guess I should mention I have a 2nd PS3 and a digital version of the game, so I could very possibly be able to do it solo with the given time left. Go for it, that's definitely a huge advantage. But given this announcement with no definite confirmation of a server shutdown, I would expect traffic which can mess up boosting. Even so, better than depending on someone else.

I've helped several people boost the online trophies for this, and it took no more than 5-8 hours per person, especially if you use the ring out method, use Ezio for your matches, and do all your matches in Ranked until you hit Rank D1, then switch to player lobbies to finish everything else off. It's faster than you think, because if you start in Ranked and both parties are the lowest rank you both will gain rank points until you hit Rank D5/E1. Then you will start losing some points for losing. It also helps if you change your in-game's profile card title to something that can be easily recognized by your boosting partner, as it will help you recognize each other for the in-game matchmaking. I also used the ANY setting for everything, too, when searching for the person I was looking for at any given time. Things will go even faster if you already have some progress on the online trophies, too, and if your partner already has everything done, the two of you can focus on just getting your wins and trophy requirements met. So, if you pick a day and dedicate the time to it, a week is definitely enough time, as long as you're able to secure a reliable partner. EDIT: Just to clarify, other than my original boosting partner, where we helped each other with the trophies, I had all my trophies done when helping subsequent partners, which, as noted before, helps speed things up. Lonemankane
it is a long grind i can tell you that much and will say i done it legit. it was a pain mostly for the ranking match trophy. as if you have a player who has poor connection and so on it can derank your ass for no reason. plus be very careful of the players who main either ass creed guest or as devil jin style character. as they at the time were the kind of people who would use the range to basically ring out your ass, more so with devil jin. Hysteria
A question ?♂️ does quick battle mode consider as online portion?
InfinateEternity
23 minutes ago, Hysteria said: A question ♂️ does quick battle mode consider as online portion? Nope. The quick battles are part of the single-player / non-online modes. If you look at the trophy guide, the online trophies (including those that require some online connection or component to work), are tagged with the blue markers. The specific move trophies, like the just guards, are easier with a boosting partner, but can theoretically be done in quick battles, for example, with some luck and patience, imo. Guard bursts would be the hardest, imo. For the sake of time (especially if this is a server shutdown), the ones to be immediately concerned with are the ranking trophies, the Ezio-specific ranked and player trophies, the rival trophies (including beating your rival's arcade ranking route record, and registering a certain number of rivals), and the overall matches and wins trophies (including the consecutive wins one). (As well as the replay trophies (both uploading your win and downloading someone else's)) Again, this is just my opinion though! If you know you have trouble executing a specific move type, then doing those with a boosting partner is helpful, as your partner can give you the best set-up for successfully performing the move. Edited June 12 by InfinateEternity Added the replay info.
nooitzben
It took me about a good 2 sessions and like maybe 7-8 hour ish to get it done with my boosting partner to get all the online trophy stuff done. It was a little difficult matching with him but we both still got all online related stuff done in the time frame.

Darghel
I did this one a while ago, and with a good partner you can do this in like 2 days, maybe less. The biggest issue was connection: it would often lag or DC. Maybe try to find someone from your save area to be sure? There are several people in this thread we did KC with. I hope you all are well! ? If anyone is reading this and is trying to find a boosting partner to get the Soul Calibur 5 trophies done, @nooitzben has created a Boosting Session (for people to find each other, presumably - please correct me if I'm wrong!!)

Servers are very unreliable but me and my buddy did all online trophies in 4 days not too long ago (You can check my list). Just try playing at different times, sometimes we couldn't match at all, and other times we played 30 matches in a row, it depends. I would say it's still doable but it will take a lot of time and trial and error, so be prepared to invest a lot of time daily.
Lance_87
Bandai Namco very rarely shuts down servers for console games... SC4 is still online despite the DLC delisting from years ago, too.

It's kinda impossible to boost that to be honest. You have to play it on Ranking difficulty and you have to beat one of your Rival's time. The only way to boost it is purposely find someone that went slower than you or they used their dummy account and purposely went slower.
Mode47
I would of loved to earn these legit, get a game night going of chill matches. Looks it'll be solo boosting!

I said "rarely" not "never". Ridge Racer 7 is way older than Unbounded and still online. Ridge Racer 6 on Xbox 360 is even older and still online. Also Unbounded was only published by Namco, not developed. Edited June 19 by Lance_87
