Considering that u can't connect to uplay, the game insists u are playing on limited mode, in this mode u can't create private matches and can't customize your loadeouts neither reach rank higher than 5

so let's say u can get the online trophies using public lobies by normal matchmaking, then the two unobtainable teophies are reaching rank 10 and equiping/customizing ur loadout

 

right now i popped only two trophies which is daily challenge and entering the online menu, and that's it

Servers are reportedly back up, but you need to have the Online Pass redeemed to access them (which has long since been delisted).

 

The game used to allow you free access after a patch via Uplay, which isn't working.

Btw, any info on coop? even if you have Couch Coop, you might still be able to play Coop Online.

I redeemed my uplay pass which i didn't redeeem before the servers were shutdown but it says i still need to create a uplay account to complete my registration which i have since 2011 or something

I couldn't do anything on that server. As long as there is no possibility to connect Uplay and open private games, it is still impossible to platinum. the only thing that was possible for me was the trophy for opening the ShadowNet menu.

Yah it seems the servers aren't back or anything, just the daily and weekly challenges, I tried sending Ubisoft and contact their support regarding the issue informing them that the servers are fully functional on Xbox side, so maybe they can restore them for PS3 (being optimistic here)

I suggest most of us who are interested send them for the same issue, I read that many xbox players sent them asking for restoring online function on xbox and months after they got what they asked for so maybe it would work for us cause I don't see any reason why xbox get the online services fully back (including Uplay linking) and not PS3

The problem with that is a lot of games are functional on 360 not ps3 because Microsoft directly hosts the servers (007 QOS, Bloodstone, Crysis 2, Wolfenstein 2009) for a few examples. So if that's why they are back then Ubisoft will laugh you off because they announced server closure and carried that out.

Ok i tried booting up Splinter Cell and Uplay linked fine and online is fully back now awesome, currently am doing all i can through private matches and even the weekly challenge requires u to win 25 uplink matches which is pretty easy, so I suggest everyone jump right into it now

I dunno actually sorry, I can't even remember when was the first time I created the Uplay account, I just booted the game and it was linked automatically and that's it 

I knocked out all online trophies easily using private matches, only two trophies remaining are the 10 objective assists and winning all game modes (Team Deathmatch requires one more person to boost with) and that's it

I hope all here know of the server revival and get the trophies ASAP

I just checked and when was Uplay back up and running? The severs came back without Uplay which meant the platinum was still unobtainable- now Uplay is working and everything should be good to go. I’ll do these after work in the morning

Uplay was a rewards system for Ubisoft games. Complete in game actions/beat their games and the points carried over and can buy ingame rewards on any Ubisoft game you choose. It was pretty cool. Not sure if the account was automatic or what. I first used this feature on Assassins Creed 2. I think even playing Splinter Cell Conviction on 360 carried over Uplay points for me to use on PS3

Here is where the game stands now after some attempts this morning with two others

The servers for multiplayer are up - private matches now work since Uplay connects. We have not been able to join invites into private matches. We think something about Uplay is still needed to connect us. This leaves private matches to only be played solo and get some trophies quicker and easier that way.

public matches will be needed for two trophies- I forget the names but they are for getting 10 object assists in certain modes and the other trophy needs one team Deathmatch win for winning one of all modes. TDM needs 8 players to start. We had varied results with us 3 players today and some alts. In various combinations we all could join one another but never all at once. It was 2 main accounts and one alt only or two main, an alt and the surprise random player of the day haha. That one time with a random was the only time we got into a public match of SvM classic which is max a 4 player game mode. The random (Joni-something) was rank 51 and experienced so we didn’t stand a chance to get objective assists.

 

Post your findings if you play on how to connect all players or what works or doesn’t. It felt random. We tried invites, joining friends in a lobby or from the ingame list.

I managed to invite a friend of mine yesterday for the two trophies that need boosting (the 10 objective assists and winning a TDM match required for winning every game mode)

the invites didn't work but then i noticed if u press start+ select u can change ur privacy settings, so i changed it to joinable instead of invites only and it worked first time and my friend joined me 

so try that and invite him from main lobby before even creating a private match and change your privacy settings and it should work fine

I just started the game for the first time and managed to get all the online trophies. You have to have a Uplay account linked to your PSN. Trying to create a Uplay account or signing into the Uplay account didn't work in the game, but going to a browser and signing into Ubisoft and linking your PSN account there works, as I did for my alt. 

 

I had no luck inviting my alt into a private game, that only resulted in an endless loading screen. I was able to invite my alt to a party, but when I tried creating a private match the alt couldn't follow and got stuck on loading screen. Next I tried making my party "joinable" with the Select button and had my alt join that way, and that apparently did the trick. I was able to start up a private match with my alt after that. Although it might have just been luck, I can't be certain.
