Intense stuff this fixture!  I personally had a lot of fun playing against @UGotHitByGunner, despite the TOEM plat glitching on me . Thanks for the match and gg on the solid score, Gunner! Also in the Plat League: @Psy-Tychist and @Mesopithecus both finally got their first win of the season! Very nice.

 

In Gold, @xZoneHunter posted a big score for the first time this season but @ApriIis managed to score even bigger and came out on top. Congrats! @Berendsapje also scored big this round, forcing @Sebastian to put in some work too. Seb ultimately won the match and is slowly getting closer to his rival Master_Mayhem_ again. Still a long way to go if he wants to go for the #1 spot in the league though! @Master_Mayhem_ and @Connie also performed a spectacular show this round. Together, they put up the highest combined score in a match so far this season. Well done both! Unfortunately for Connie, though, Mayhem managed to score a mere 1.7 points more this round than him. Insanely close.... Great effort though!

 

Reina and KPWCore still lead the Silver and Bronze League respectively. Can they keep their lead or are there still some people left who will challenge them? We'll find out soon enough!

Romania - Gunner was our only Romanian to win a title last season.

Japan - Reinachii- is the only winner for Japan as the only other Japanese 'champion' was based in the US at the time.

Sweden - We have never had a Swedish competitor as of yet.

We are about half way through the season and an exciting one it has been so far. Let's see how Season 37 is panning out so far.

 

Platinum League:

 

Some massive battles so far in the premier league and still more to come. @Lucas and @NuclearManager sit atop the table, separated by total points but both unbeaten. Some big battles against Gunner and Arti have given him over 1k points and now an incredible 22 matches unbeaten in a row. Anorak has had some easier bouts so far, but when he meets Gunner and Lucas in future fixtures, the points are going to skyrocket. @Krazy_99 sits just behind with only one loss and is looking for the leaders to slip up and has an outside chance to grab that top spot. @UGotHitByGunner and @Arctic Cress have had tough battles and sit comfortably in midtable. Having taken on most of the top 5, Arti has a good chance of climbing higher as does Gunner, but topping the table is slipping away at this moment. I sit in an unusual position at the head of a queue by virtue of more points than the rest. This queue has 5 competitors all on two points, one win a piece. It is too early to tell, but @Wdjat Prinny Doods is in a lazy season, @Mesopithecus is swamped with work and hurricanes and @Jello and @GTA_Darren are just having no luck at the moment. Whoever will be relegated is still a mystery, but some tough opponents will shake out who will get the chop.

 

Gold League:

 

This League has two distinct halves, one half all going for the top spot and the other either not getting lucky or having an off season. After Shogun's untimely removal, there is only one spot for relegation at the moment and that spot is quite firmly taken by @stupid0089 currently winless after 5 matches, not to far behind @xZoneHunter who has his only points from the loss of Shogun. @Berendsapje and @Connie are putting up good fights but are definitely in the unlucky category. Connie nearly had the unbeaten Mayhem down and out but just under two points is the slender gap that Mayhem clinched victory by. Still a lot to play for midtable though. At the sharp end, @Master_Mayhem_ keeps his unbeaten record, now up to 11 matches in a row by the slenderest win in the dying moments of last fixture. He is still the favourite to go into Plat next season but there is some competition brewing behind. After a slow star, @ApriIis has burst onto the scene and is looking dangerous but with Sebastian and Mayhem coming up, will the momentum keep up? @Sebastian still has his rematch against Mayhem to come and these battles have produced some insane scores, but after losing to @FallacyUnknown who is right behind him in the table, will he have the power and drive to push for that top spot. Time will tell.

 

Silver League:

 

This season, Silver isn't as crazy as it was last season, but there is still plenty of drama to keep the thirst in check. @Reinachii- sits atop the table, unbeaten for 13 matches in a row and looking to win only the second title for a Japanese player ever. @Doylus91 with only one loss to his name, is just behind and guarding that second promotion spot, but with tough matches upcoming, will he hold that spot for long? Competition is tough in the centre of the pack for silver, @Zephyr-pt, @Syr_Rys, @Brawler and @Yuna all with three wins each. Syr started strong but is getting beaten down a bit, Zephyr started weak but is gaining momentum, Brawler is doing his own thing but putting up big numbers and Yuna is trying to sneak under the radar after having a quiet start but is putting in 100+ scores every week. Any of these four can get that last promotion spot, anybody placing a bet? At the lower half, @madbuk is having a much quieter season, but the surprise is at the bottom. @cjninja125 after having some strong performances in previous seasons languishes at the bottom of the pile, winless. @UltraDog177 and @TheScruffyton are skirting the relegation zone with a win apiece, but I wonder if the anime protagonist is ready to bloom? Nani!

 

Bronze League:

 

The newbies have taken the Bronze league by storm. @KPWCORE floats atop the league with the second highest score of all and is still unbeaten. Following just behind is three eager beavers who want that promotion for different reasons. @UnboundedCash99 and @ShinobiMonk are looking to have fun and do their best, while the veteran @RedbeardRik just wants to get out from all the try-hards into the 'chill' Silver League. All have good chances with only a loss each, promotion can come to any of them. @UnwaveringSoul_ started strong, but tough opponents have put a dent in his charge up the table and into the promotion spots. The wooden spoon award is currently held by @YieuY, winless in the five matches so far and scoreless in two matches. The places above are populated by competitors with a combined score less than UnwaveringSoul. @IrishNelly is taking a chill approach to his matches, @serrated-banner9 seems in awe of all the big scores on the board, @DEMONICRUBLE18 is busy with work and school and @freddie1989 is being totally himself. I will be sending a wooden spoon to whomever is in last place, so if you want that trophy, let me know.

 

Lots can happen in the coming matches, I'm excited to see Anorak Vs Gunner, Mayhem Vs Sebastian, Yuna Vs Oskar and of course, Myself Vs Lucas.

A quieter week but nonetheless an important week for those pushing for the top end of the tables and the bottom too.

 

@Lucas and @NuclearManager both keep their unbeaten starts and the title for Platinum looks like it will come down to them, @Wdjat Prinny Doods is keeping the lazy alive and a nice round 100 keeps me above the relegation zone. @FallacyUnknown and @ApriIis are still chasing down @Master_Mayhem_ to get into the Plat League each getting big scores. @stupid0089 gets their first win to lift them off the bottom and just out of the red zone and @Sebastian is falling out of contention after losing out to Aprilis, @Syr_Rys keeps his hopes alive in Silver with a good win over @Brawler, @Doylus91 keeps his second place with @Yuna being ill and @Reinachii- is still unbeaten even with trying to beat Overwatch. @KPWCORE puts up another big score to stay out in front in Bronze, @ShinobiMonk takes up second place by beating @UnboundedCash99, @UnwaveringSoul_ takes the win from @RedbeardRik in the final moments and @serrated-banner9 takes their second win of the campaign to push further away from the bottom of Bronze.
