Unfortunately there won't be a write-up with highlights from last fixture and I'm sorry that updating took so long but I'm having problems with my computer (internet doesn't work anymore) and borrowed my friend's laptop to quickly update the league tables and statistics. As most of you know, I was scheduled to start my new job on May 15th. However, I never officially received an offer letter, even though I was told I would get one (on May 1st), and to just hang tight. On May 8th, after sitting around all week watching TV and laying PS4, thinking I have time to kill, and still waiting for my offer letter, I get a call saying they pulled the position due to lack of funding. The reason was they had hired someone else for a different position, and thus there was not enough to keep me around beyond 30 - 60 days. Suffice it to say, I was furious. I had been dealing with the president of the company the entire time, and there is no way that he wouldn't have known about how much funds they had, so what business sense does it make to open 2 positions when you know you only have enough money to fill one? So I had to go back to the drawing board, and spent the bulk of my time looking for jobs again. I then went through a rigorous interview process a couple weeks ago where I did 4 interviews in 9 days for one company, a consulting firm, which means I get to bounce from client project to client project. I found out yesterday that this place wants to make me an offer. And this time, it seems legit. They actually started the paperwork yesterday, and today sent me an unofficial copy of my offer letter. Unofficial because there was a technology convention today, and all of the people who needed to sign the offer letter were out of the office. So they sent me the copy so I could read it over. I agreed to all the terms, and everything should be finalized by Monday, allowing me to start on June 12. I am still being a little cautious though, because until I actually sign the offer letter, anything can happen. But this is promising due to the fact they actually have been taking steps to bring me on board, unlike the last place. And one of the perks of this place is unlimited paid vacation time. So that should allow me to have plenty of time for gaming, more time than I had with my previous job. And so the reason I haven't been too active is because of all of this. I know I ate my words when I said I'd still be undefeated by Fixture 9, but after losing a few fixtures in a row at the start of the season, I knew it would be easier to step away and take care of my business. I fully expect to demote to Bronze, but I still want to complete my goal of getting to the CWC. I was going strong Saturday when both Whitetail and Minecraft glitched on me in one night, the latter preventing a platinum. I realized then that that was a sign that I should probably stop. I was fighting a losing battle to begin with, and even if I somehow beat @Kent10201, I would have nothing left to win the CWC. So I backed off and gave you the win. @xZoneHunter, @Kent10201, @woop94, sorry for tampering with your season. I knew this would most likely be my last time in the THL, and I got just a tad desperate with my tactics to win. I know one of you really wants to have revenge on me, but you sadly won't get that chance. I'm retiring after this season and am probably never coming back. How's everyone doing so far? Platinum League Whyfire is still in the lead and his chances of winning the Platinum League for the fourth time in a row are getting bigger and bigger. cjshaitan is still breating down his neck though with only 1 league point less but 150 more score points. These two players are the only two contenders left for the Platinum League title this season. pureproteinman has the highest score in the Platinum League but has 7 less league points than Whyfire and therefore cannot finish in first place anymore. ToxiKirby and Kochiya-Shana will be participating in the Gold League next season, both contestants are already relegated. Gold League MStalker58 was confident he'd finish in first place in the Gold League this season and so far everything's going according to plan. However, RalphyLDN and Psy-Tychist aren't too far behind him and will definitely strike when MStalker58 messes up. MStalker58 has to stay focused and keep this winning streak going before crowning himself Season 18 Gold League champion. Hemiak, HcG-_Terror and RainstormIII are still in the relegation zone and don't really seem to mind that. Nothing is definite here yet though, so now is the time to take action if they don't want to relegate to the Silver League this season. Silver League The Silver League is exciting as always with basically every single participant from the top 6 still having a chance to win the Silver League this season until last fixture. Things have changed a little bit after the last fixture but everyone in the top 5 still has a chance of winning the Silver League; anything can still happen. Kent10201 is in the lead with 17 league points. He has 2 more league points than the number two and has the highest score of all 5 remaining contenders for the title. This doesn't mean he's won yet though, VASORAT13 and Enma8910 are in the two remaining promotion spots at the moment, both with 15 league points. jem12345 follows in 4th place with 14 league points and a comfortable lead in score points in comparison to VASORAT13 and Enma8910. woop94, in fifth place at the moment, also has 14 league points and definitely shouldn't give up yet either. xZoneHunter has a very impressive score of 918 points so far but has to watch out that he doesn't end up in a relegation spot. Ichiban-Hybrid still has a slight chance of staying in the Silver League but ShogunCroCop, me3lingual and Shadowhood1111 are already sure of relegation to the Bronze League this season. Bronze League Tearraven is unstoppable and manages to keep his win-streak going (6 definitive wins in a row so far). After man_with_wdjat's loss to NIALLERMANBUZ last fixture, Tearraven can breath a little easier and can secure his Bronze League win by scoring 4 league points in the last two fixtures combined. Bladesoframen won his match in fixture 7 but is in fifth place now, outside of the promotion zone, after leading the Bronze League the first 4 fixtures. Together with Tearraven and man_with_wdjat, revvie11 and ericperez18 are also in the promotion zone at the moment. Gregorymany currently has an average score of 0.9 point per fixture but still managed to get 1 league point so far. Can he still escape last place and win the last two fixtures? I am your opponent this fixture and, unless the rules explicitly state that hidden trophies are somehow not elligible, I do not mind them counting in your favor. Well to be honest, you're in the game so you play by the rules like everybody else! If you scored this fixture, then enjoy that victory even if it won't change anything for you because you're leaving.
