i think having a platinum isn't enough to justify how hard it must have been to get it offline

i havent been able to find a list of people who completed plat'ing WKC

qualifications:

must have started the game after the date the servers shut down. i will add a honorable mention for players who didnt play much when the server was up and plat'ed the game after. drop me a comment below and i'll add you to the list!

*i havent played WCK yet, but its in the mail and i would like to shoot for the elusive and rare offline WCK plat *

This game and WKC2 are insane to platinum offline. Honestly, there is no point, obtaining this platinum would mean devoting possibly years of your life to a video game that hardly anyone knows of. I managed to obtain all the significant trophies before the shutdown on WKC2, but even still i'm struggling to commit to the grind (although admittedly it's not that bad, just playing a 4 minute quest 1000 times over the period of a year).

Quest 1 takes longer to complete but gives more gr points than quest 2 and means less runs through quest 1 and less boredom.

 

Quest 2 is shorter but gives less points which means more runs of quest 2 and increases boredom and leads to giving up sooner.

 

In the long run quest 1 increases the total gr points gained and quest 2 decreases the total points gained.

 

WKC 1 do I have to wait until GR10 to start binding useful armours. I am somewhere around 2.8 million gr points away from GR10 and I have just started using Home Of The Knave for grinding.

 

I started playing this game around 4 years ago I never s ranked any quests online I think if you can download the patch then it will still be possible to platinum because the DLC quests come with the patch or the patch activates the quests.

I started playing this game after the servers were shutdown and I can say with one hundred percent conviction, it is by far the largest grind for a platinum I have ever undertaken. I have not played Warhawk, however I must speculate that WKC 1 offline platinum must be near, if not at the top of the list for largest most time consuming grind to platinum on PS3.

I literally played the game for a couple hours 9 years ago and the 2% on my trophy list is bothering me so I'll go full idiot and plat this ?

 

Gonna start in one month after I make sure to get the online trophies for other games I wanna plat so this never happens again >,>

Does anyone have any recommendations of any guides to follow? Haha, no worries, I kind of gave up again ?

 

I got my completion % up from like 11% to 18%, and the grind was already getting to me. That, and other things started to come out that I wanted to try out, so after a while...I kind of put WKC out of my mind.

 

It's kind of tough to remember what I was confused about...I think it was mostly about how to level my character. I know that the Rebirths are an important component to soloing the GR missions, but I remember always being confused about when to Rebirth, and what classes/specs I should try to follow first.

 

But it's okay if you don't want to put that much effort into a response, since I dunno when I'll get back to attempting the plat ?

Hey hey, figured I'd make a quick post just to effectively throw my hat into the ring, since I too am foolishly trying to platinum this game (and WKC2 afterwards!)

 

Here's where I am currently:

- As of right now, I have 41% of the trophies. Ones I'm missing are generally the big grind ones like total amounts of items, weapons and armour, as well as Guild Rank and cumulative money.

- My current focus is to grind to Guild Rank 13. I'm GR10 right now with 7.6 million points, using The Lost Children III to get me a cool 42k for 15 minutes of effort. Aiming to grind around 500k per day. I'm hoping the money trophy pops sometime during this grind.

- I've got a general idea of what equipment I need to be aiming for and what mats I need to upgrade them, but if anyone has any advice in regards to stuff they used please let me know. I'm using the Class Guide: Spear on Neoseeker. I PM'd someone over on PSTrophies and was advised to look into Georama equipment which is something I'm saving until I get that money trophy.

- I'm juggling this with several other games just so I don't go nuts. Would recommend if anyone feels like picking this one up.

 

Think the big problem I'm having is my stats. I've hit max level, done all the Rebirths and allocated my skill points pretty wisely (I have all the stat boost abilities, quite a few useful spear abilities, and a decent collection of healing/attack spells) but I still feel somewhat of a glass cannon. Gonna post my set up below.

Equipment:

- Emerald Spear +9, ATK 110, Water+1, HP+24, VIT+4, DEX+3

- Centurion Armour +10, DEF 71, Fire+3, HP+70, MP+4, VIT+14

- Centurion Fists +10, DEF 62, Earth+5, HP+42, STR+16, DEX+16

- Master Slops +2, DEF 47, Wind+4

- Earth Footwear, DEF 33, Earth+2

- Master Shield +2, DEF 29

- Ring of Tenacity, DEF 1, VIT+5

- Miracle Ring, DEF 1, DEX+5

 

There's a few items there that aren't +10 mainly because getting hold of those materials are nigh impossible to do solo since they require beating up some tough bosses... which I ironically need better equipment for.

I was using the Neoseeker guide too (before I stopped...) and I also recall it mentioning something about the Georama.

 

Unfortunately, at the time, it had been so long since I even messed with the Georama at all, I had no idea how any of it worked (like how to get access to the gear it was mentioning).

 

So you've already hit max Rebirths? Is that something you specifically sought out to do? From what I remember doing, I would Rebirth every time I hit the level cap, but since it reduces your level when you use it, sometimes it feels really unappealing to do. Course I'm trying to recall the game mechanics out of memory, maybe I'm misremembering things.

 

Do you mind posting how you allocated your skill points? I was always unsure how to spend mine.

Yeah, Georama is something I need to look properly into, but that isn't gonna happen until I get 10 million gold as I still need that trophy and I hear it's quite expensive!

 

And also yes! Max Rebirths was something I aimed for since it optimises your abilities plus it's a fairly resonable trophy to get out of the way. I used this video for the final rebirth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0NCQbg01-Q and mainly ran Sprog Cleaning II to grind for levels when it got knocked back down. I think wind-element worked well, so either bring a wind-enhanced spear or hurl medium damage wind spells at 'em The Class Guide: Spear on Neoseeker advises as to specific abilities that work well, but the video also allocates the points well so you'll have them anyway. It's amazing to see people still playing this game! I played this game online a decent amount back before the server shut down (I remember spending real money to buy useless addons for my town haha) and grind a bit even after the server shut down. Props to @Agriagropolis and the other people still trying to platinum this game!
