MattyCollects
Hey everyone, Im working on the Ni No Kuni Platinum and am just wondering there's something I should be wary of moving forward (already post-game)
Sir_Bee
Well you cannot miss anything, so just keep working towards the long grind trophies, mainly taming all familiars and maxing out one of them.

Yeah I've found some familiars are taking so long to capture, the whole percentage/luck based capture system is horrible imo

It will come with time, just got to give it time.

acasser
For grinding out the necessary number of familiars, it's far easier to capture the first-tier variants and evolve them. Also in this vein, the gold versions of familiars count separately from the "vanilla" versions, so capture and evolve those too. Furthermore, buy every available familiar from the various shops (arena, casino, what-have-you) and shortcut those as well.

So out of the 500 or so different types, you only have to catch 250 different ones? For example, Mitey is different to gold Mitey?

thepeaguy83
Ah, Ni No Kuni. One of my favourite platted games. The only time consuming trophies I didn't like were the familiar ones. Bit of a drag to do.
JC_Shiryuu
Nice game. For the i can give you this tips: Once Swaine joins your party, his first ability the Mugshot, lets you steal from enemies. Use his ability in every opportunity you have since all monster can give different materials and items. Collect all the soul orbs in battle you can, since there is a trophy just for collecting 2,000 soul orbs. You need a map for all the treasures since there is a trophy for collecting the treasures. (Just the invisible treasure, there are 100 but later you will receive a spell that will help finding these invisible treasures) You will only have problem with the Mad Scientist (Since there are materials with very low rate and you have to farm a lot just to getting 2 or 3 materials)
amebapiko
This thread probably isn't necessary since the best thing to do would be to check a guide

DarkMetroidSouls
this is one of the best rpg i have ever played and a proud plat owner as well. you'll be spending and dedicating along time with this game if your going to platinum. i say the hardest trophy in the game is the mad scientist trophy. i spent 8 hours just searching for 2 ingredients to alchemize. taming 250 diffrent species was also a long long grind. i believe my final play time as my platinum trophy popped was 84 hours. have fun. its a very good and fun game. very good story. you'll grow very attached to the characters. have fun going for the platinum. my opinion for platinum difficulty is 3/10 but because of the hard time comsuming mad scientist trophy. it could easily be bumped up to 5/10. also 80 plus hours game time. and there are no missable trophies
