Popular Post Sly Ripper
PSNProfiles' Site/Forum Rules These rules will be enforced, you will receive warnings, further warnings will lead to suspensions and bans. These rules apply site-wide, including gaming sessions and guides. Talk properly, "tlkin lik dis" won't save you any money. Don't creep on female members, you weirdo. Don't give other members grief, this is a nice place. No account or game sharing, physical items are allowed but it's not our responsibility if something bad happens. No short one/two word posts unless it completely makes sense. It's spam. No posts with just an image/meme, it's also spam. If your post content has nothing to do with the topic, do not post it in that topic. No links to illegal material. No sexual material or sexually-oriented discussion. Rules 5 and 6 are allowed in topics that rely on those types of replies.
Popular Post DaivRules
Guidelines Amendments 1. No boosting threads. We have Sessions for that. If you want to make a special case for why you should be exempt from this, contact a Moderator and plead your case *before* you start a thread. Threads discussing boosting methods are fine, but do not post requests to boost in those threads. Boosting requests in existing threads are off topic and will be removed. 2. No duplicate threads. If there is already a thread of the same (or close enough) topic, post in there. Don’t start a new thread. Is doesn’t matter how old it is, we don’t care about necroing threads here. 3. Please don’t just post a video link. Embed the video and give some context to the video by posting at least a sentence describing why you are posting that video. No, the thumbnail isn’t enough and no, watching the video to find the context also isn’t enough. Put a little more effort in to it. \ Add [Video] to the beginning of the thread title when creating the thread. (Example: [Video] Attacking Zegeta 2 Platinum Walkthrough) 4. Don’t name and shame. This is akin to giving grief to another member. There are ways to report suspected cheaters and you should Report posts or contact a Moderator any time you would feel compelled to Name and Shame. 5. You don’t HAVE to respond to anything. If you are feeling like someone is giving you grief, your options are: A. Give grief back and share the experience of getting warning points for *also* breaking the rules B. Ignore the posts. Bonus for putting the member on Ignore. C. Report the posts. Mods don’t see every post. If someone is breaking rules, bring attention and let the moderators moderate. No, you don’t get to find out how we enforced the rules. We generally don’t follow up with reporters. D. Message a moderator. Same as reporting but more likely to get a generic response back if you’re looking for that. 6. No save file sharing or requesting save file sharing. This is akin to No account sharing in the rules. 7. Just because there isn't a posted rule, doesn't mean you can do it. Use some judgment about the intention of the posted rules and follow the spirit of the rules. 8. Post in English. Please use a translation tool if needed. All posts should be written in English and legible. 9. Put spoilers in spoiler tags. No, it doesn't matter how old it is. You may not receiving Warning Points for breaking these rules, but do not be surprised if they are enforced by Moderators. Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Gaming Session Rules The lists below will outline what is and is not acceptable when it comes to gaming sessions. Breaking these rules may result in warning points, bans, or deleted boosting sessions. Allowed Below are a list of things that are allowed within Gaming Sessions: 1. Using time and date as a placeholder We understand that putting down an exact time on when you are able to boost can be difficult. Therefore, you are allowed to comment that the time and date are placeholders and can use the session chatbox to communicate or can communicate through other mediums such as PSN or Discord. 2. Asking for members to have discord, a mic, or other reasonable requirements Having stipulations or requirements to join a boosting session is acceptable as long as it is within reason. For example telling someone they can't join because they don't have "420" in their username is not reasonable. If you don't like their requirements to join, create your own session! 3. Asking to add as friends before joining or joining a PSN party Actually, this one is recommended and allows sessions to run smoother. 4. Shareplaying (not to be confused with gamesharing) Shareplaying with others to get single player trophies for you is acceptable as long as you are actually using Sony's shareplay capabilities and not giving your UN and PW to someone else. Not Allowed The following things are not allowed in Gaming Sessions: 1. Don't charge people for money You are not allowed under any circumstances to ask for payment for boosting or to use boosting sessions as a way to make money off of "trophy services." If you are caught doing this, your session will be immediately delete and will receive WPs for doing so. Boosting sessions are not a tool to enable your business. 2. No gamesharing or sharing your account with others PSNProfiles wants nothing to do with exchanging usernames and passwords to earn others trophies and anyone caught doing this can expect a warning point to come their way. 3. Don't spam sessions for a single game Do not create several sessions at once for a single game or it will flood the page of anyone who has the game looking through sessions. This is very annoying to many and will likely result in several sessions being deleted at a minimum and could disrupt boosting sessions for others. 4. Don't start drama/sabotage other's sessions Do not go onto someone else's session and talk trash into the chat and tell others to not boost with this person. There are risks of joining ANY session that it may not go well. Do not harm or stalk other people's sessions because they did not go well previously or for any other reason. If someone is harassing you on PSN though or sabotaging your session there, this will need to be reported to Sony, not us. We cannot control how others interact with each other on PSN. This is part of the risks of using boosting sessions unfortunately. 5. No member abuse This falls in line with the rules of the forums. This includes shaming others. 6. Using a Session as a Chat/Site Advertisement - Don't make a session which is just a link to a Discord or other site and has no real time or date (not a real scheduled session). We've had issues in the past with people just saying "Time and date is a plateholder" (which is fine on its own because there's no "Any time" option) but then just pasting a link to a discord channel as basically free advertisement, never making a real session and keeps pushing the session date back forever. Boosting sessions are for boosting with others, and it's not very helpful if you are just using sessions to bolster your member count and not organizing actual sessions. Furthermore, It's against the rules to use the Gaming Sessions feature on this website to forward users to an external website or platform such as Discord in order to find or join a Gaming Session there. The session should take place entirely on PSNProfiles and private/temporary chats can only be used as a means of communication after the session has been created within the Gaming Sessions page on PSNProfiles. This includes the following: You cannot advertise a boosting server that exists on Discord or a different website/platform by posting the name of it or linking to it in a session. The only time a Discord link can be put in a session description or comment area is if it is the session hosts personal Discord chat (ie not a server link), or one that is temporarily set up as a means to chat for that specific session. You cannot use a channel within a Discord boosting server or any general large Discord server as a means to chat. If you want to use a channel within an existing Discord server, then it must be the PSNProfiles integrated Discord boosting channels. You cannot direct people to a boosting server or website by telling them to check your "about me" on your profile or by visiting your forum profile. Also a temporary Discord server cannot be created which then directs people to a larger server such as a boosting server. 7. Continuously Pushing the Session Date Back Please do not constantly push back session dates and times. Just create a new session unless it makes absolute sense and it's well maintained by the host. Otherwise, these types of sessions will likely be deleted after a period of time if there appears to be no communication to set up an actual session or if staff determines the session is causing a lot of confusion among members of the site because it has gotten too large, unmanagable, etc. 8. No troll sessions Don't be surprised if your "My Name is Mayo" session is taken down. All these sessions do is take up room on someone's page and is not wanted or needed. What to do When a Session Doesn't go Well Not every session you use will go well. It's the reality of life that some people will just simply leave the session after getting their trophy or will be rude and uncooperative during sessions. When this happens, please use the guidelines below: Leave feedback in the feedback section - Yes, it's not fully implemented, but it's better to share your grievances there than to start drama and do it elsewhere. Ignore that person's sessions in the future - Do not go into their sessions just to say they are a bad booster or terrible person. Just ignore them and create your own session moving forward or join someone else's session. It's not worth your time. Ban the person(s) from your own sessions - You can manually ban people from joining your sessions. Use this if you do not want a particular person joining your sessions. If there are several individuals, set the session to manually approve people before joining. That's why the option is there. Contact a PSNProfiles Mod - In extreme circumstances where someone is harassing you after a bad session on PSNProfiles, PM a mod here and provide the link to the boosting session or report the PM. If the boosting session is going to expire, grab a screenshot as proof. Again, if you are being harassed on PSN, report it to Sony. We cannot do anything about what happens during the session. Block the person on PSNProfiles forums and PSN - This will reduce the amount of hate mail and potential drama that may occur due to a session not going well. NOTE: We are not responsible for actions taken outside of the official PSNP Discord or PSNP site. If a host or participant violates any PSN rules, use the game report function as well as the Sony report function. Moderators here can not enforce Sony or game owners rules in games, but Sony or the developers can if they are informed. Same goes for Discord and using other people's servers as a medium. Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Rules Regarding Video Guides Within Forum Posts Going forward, if a YouTube video guide posted on the forum does not follow the below guidelines, it will be removed as spam. This goes for both walkthroughs or individual trophy guides for a specific trophy. The thread (not video) must include the following: A brief overview of the game itself so to create a basis of discussion to talk on the game. A brief estimate of difficulty and time for completing the game. Some basic level of explanation of completing the objective that you are guiding someone. The explanation does not need to be to the extent of a standard guide and is not moderated by the team, but some effort must be put into the explanation and not just one or two sentences. The idea is to create relevance to such threads beyond being a platform to advertise websites and YouTube channels. Being that it is a forum post, it primarily must have a basis in which to discuss the content and thus a redirection to foreign sites is not relevant for discussion. What is presented in the thread must be able to stand on its own. Again, if it cannot stand on it's own and does not invite discussion, it will be removed. Essentially, this would mean that threads that are exclusively a video and nothing else would be removed. If you are unsure if your guide meets the standards, add a little extra to it and make it thorough in the description.
