One Gun Trophy question.

I am getting Dead Space soon, and I feel this trophy is going to bug me alot. My question, for now, is if I use a DLC Weapon, can I still get the Trophy?

Any answer is appreciated.

Yes you're allowed to use the DLC Plasma cutter. You're also allowed to melee and telekinesis.

I did the hardest difficulty with the plasma cutter and had minimal problems.

I only used the plasma cutter on my first run just to get it over with and in my opinion it is a good stand alone weapon. Once you start upgrading it, you can determine what it is missing (damage, fire rate, ammo capacity, etc)

The Plasma Cutter is actually pretty strong.

Just spam the stasis code ( , , ,  ,  ) and slow down every enemy you encounter... piece of cake.

i don't think it will bug you... the plasma cutter is the strongest, cost effective, most accurate and takes up the least amount of nodes i think so its definitely worth usin...

i did the 'plasma cutter only' run on the toughest difficulty playthough and destroyed those necro bastards with ease, all the other gun ammo is very very expensive so the cutter comes in handy for the toughest difficulty as you can just sell it all other ammos when you get it and spend it on first aid kits/cutter ammo/nodes makin this run laughable...

The plasma cutter fully upgraded is a joke.... no other weapon is even close to needed.

 

Echoing what DARK said... i used it on the hardest difficulty play though and honestly was really boring as everything died so easy.

NO it must be a plasma cutter as the trophy description states.

You have to use the Plasma Cutter from start to finish and you cannot use any other weapon. However, you can purchase a weapon, but cannot fire it. Once you fire the other gun, it voids the trophy completely.

just to be clear on one thing...i can't use blowing canisters to throw into enemy, can i? (as technically i will kill it with a different weapon)

I’m almost certain you can, just as long as the only weapon you fire is the plasma cutter. Stasis is also okay to use.
