Rare Trophy Hunters League - Part 2

Hello there

 

I have two more or less important announcements to make!

 

First of all: I'll get rid of the rule that the last people of the rankings have to drop out of the league. - My deciscion was made because I dislike this "rule" a lot and everyone should decide for themselves if they drop out or not. So please enjoy yourselves and let me know with a message or a post in this thread if you want to drop out otherwise you will automatically stay in the league (It doesn't matter for me if I have to count 15 or 50 participants )

 

 

Secondly: There will be a "special event" for the fifth season. - The rules will stay the same just the counting system will be changed and some extras will be added for the season.

 

1. The trophies will be counted more "specific" in rarity. The more rare a trophy is the more points you'll get for it. The points will be like this:

2. on two weeks just a certain rarity of trophies will count!

• week 2 -  only rare and  ultra rare trophies count.
• week 4 - only common, uncommon and very rare trophies count.

An interesting concept and after 4 seasons worth of this competition, i think it will be nice to mix it up, great stuff V!

I definitely like the idea of being more specific when counting the rarities, especially when it comes to the very and ultra rare trophies. Will make for a more accurate league.

I'm also definitely a fan of the no people being forced out of the league, and that's not only because I'm one of the people who's at risk this season haha. Think it'll be interesting to see how the weeks where only a certain rarity turn out, whether it changes the table much or not. Overall I think it's a good update vjuchen.

It just makes it more convenient to do that. It doesn't really matter. Trophies don't have any real value anyways, it's all in fun. People help each other earn trophies all the time anyways, this just makes it more convenient.

 

Oh also, I actually earned some points this week!

I agree. They are pretty worthless anyways. For me it's just a personal goal type thing.

Quick question about the Trophy League. I know that the Singstar games are banned, but what about Guitar Hero and Rock Band?  The time for plats on them is heavily reliant on individual skill, so I wasn't sure how they would be ruled. Obviously the track packs and other "expansions" would not count, but what about the core games? Also, is there a finalized list of banned games anywhere? I'm new to this league thing and don't want to screw it up right out of the gate...

There isn't a list of every single game that is banned. The games listed on OP are special cases that have been banned. If a game isnt on that list then as long as a game doesn't go against the rules posted it is allowed dood.

The SIngstar XMB games are banned because you can earn a majority of the trophies quickly and with little effort, really boosting your score because most of the trophies are ultra rare.

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band definitely are not, because they definitely take much more time and skill to do.

And don't worry about messing up, you can play as many banned games as you'd like, they just won't count towards the league at all.

I have to say that I am deeply sorry. I know it's a really "lame" excuse but because of my nightshift I was a bit tired each day and I messed up with the counting. I corrected it and will post the new scores here, it changed some places. I hope you can forgive me and trust the counting at the next season - I will get someone to check the points together with me, that we can change it before it is posted on this thread.

Hey guys!

 

Just so you know, this upcoming season I'll only count once a week on 9AM (GMT+1) which means at 0AM (GMT-8) on sunday and not like I did last time whilst still being a bit sleepy cause of the nightshift. I want to make up for that so please make sure your trophies are updated then, every trophy which isn't online then is "lost" because I won't count it either for the next week then. I'll open all participants at the same time on my browser, so be sure to update it in time!

 

My decision is also based on following issue: If you get an trophy with 0.98% on tuesday and on sunday when I count it's 1.02% then I don't want you to complain about it. it's unfortunate but that's why I tell you this before the season starts.

 

We are 20 participants at the moment, so let's make the next season a great succes and everyone do your best. I wish everyone good luck and an enjoyable and succesful competition!
