The Last Effort trophy

This is probably the only trophy in this games list that I don't understand. What exactly does "defeat the enemy with 5 lives or less" mean? At first I thought it meant HP, but I've defeated numerous enemies sitting at 5 HP or less and it hasn't worked. I'm not 100% sure if I've gotten myself down to 5 HP and then defeated the enemy, so I guess I could try that. According to the percentages it's a pretty common trophy to acquire (61%, I believe), so hopefully someone can clarify what exactly needs to be done to unlock the trophy.

 

EDIT: I got it. You have to defeat your opponent when you have 5 HP or less. They really should correct the trophy description, because there's a big difference between lives and HP.
