DanielVT
I was just watching the PlayStation Gamescom post-show and the guy announced there will be a platinum trophy for inFamous: First Light! Holy shittake mushrooms! That is pretty sweet! I already pre-bought First Light, so that is welcome news! I was already really looking forward to the game, but this certainly adds to the excitement. devourerplease
For those of you who played Second Son, will I need to play that before playing this? Or will I be able to get around well enough without playing it?

Saltyie
It looks better than the main game! For those of you who played Second Son, will I need to play that before playing this? Or will I be able to get around well enough without playing it? It's a prequel Edited August 12, 2014 by Saltyie

vivan000
DLC with platinum? What next? Games with >1 platinums? Oh, wait, this is already happening.
MatCauthon
DLC with platinum? What next? Games with >1 platinums? Oh, wait, this is already happening. It's not DLC. It's a standalone title that doesn't require Second Son. It's no different than any other $10-$15 PSN game that has a platinum.

vivan000
It's not DLC. http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/08/12/new-infamous-first-light-trailer-debuts-new-features-detailed/ It feels like I was just on the blog announcing inFAMOUS First Light at E3, a brand new standalone DLC to inFAMOUS Second Son Edited August 12, 2014 by vivan
MatCauthon
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/08/12/new-infamous-first-light-trailer-debuts-new-features-detailed/ The accepted definition of DLC is an add-on to an existing game. This isn't that. By the logic of your link, anything you download from PSN is DLC (downloadable content). Besides debating moot points, what's the problem with it having a platinum? snakebit10
Had it preordered for 2 weeks or so and am really looking forward to it. Sweet news of it having a platinum.

This isn't that. This is exactly that, except you don't need original game because they alreay included part of it. By the logic of your link, anything you download from PSN is DLC (downloadable content).Nobody referes to PSN games as DLCs. And, if you haven't noticed, this is an official sony statement, not an opinion of some random guy. Besides debating moot points, what's the problem with it having a platinum?Devaluating of those points? Yeah, screw those points, we need more games with base 5k+ points and 1k+ points DLCs. No shit that nobody refers to PSN games as DLC because they are not, unless you are taking the acronym literally. This is a standalone title. If a press release wants to call it DLC, so be it. Its trophy list will not be tacked onto the SS trophy list as a DLC pack. Exactly, screw those virtual points that mean absolutely nothing in the real world.
MrManBuz
It's getting a blu-ray release too? Cool, I might actually buy it depending on its price.
