Just-Pro-44
My friend recently got into a modded trophy lobby (Not on purpose) and it unlocked all his trophies for call of duty world at war. does this mean he will be considered a cheater? Stevieboy
If the trophies unlocked when they shouldn't have then, unfortunately for him, yes he will be considered a cheater. The only option will be for him to hide that game on his profile and he won't be.
Just-Pro-44
That's a bit cruel considering WAW is a 6 year old game.
Saltyie
Does the age of the game matter? A 6 year old platinum has the same value as a 2 day old platinum, if your friend got those trophies illegitimately, he'll have to hide them to not be considered a cheater. Just-Pro-44
If you have seen WAW in the past years, you'd know it's literally hacked to fuck. So yes, a 2 day platinum hack would obviously be unlegit regardless of circumstances, rather than a 6 year old game that unlocks trophies In a lobby. Stevieboy
That's a bit cruel considering WAW is a 6 year old game. Yes it's harsh, but that's the way it is. It's a zero tolerance set-up here when it comes to hacked trophies. It's difficult to prove he didn't create or organise the modded lobby himself. If he hides the game then all is good. He didn't earn the trophies legit anyway so he doesn't really deserve them on his profile.
Beyondthegrave07
Intent isn't considered when determining whether someone cheated or not. I'm sorry for your friend, but a person is considered a cheater as long as that person has those trophies on their profile. Just-Pro-44
I see. I will inform him. If he contacted Sony, would they remove the game from his list?

Stevieboy
I see. I will inform him. If he contacted Sony, would they remove the game from his list? I don't think it's possible for Sony to do that. Like I say, he should just hide the game on his profile. It basically does the same thing as removing it would anyway. Meacham
The thing is though, even in those lobbies they don't all pop at once. One pops after a previous trophy and so on. Which leads you to think, if it wasn't planned and it actually happened then you would rush and turn your PS3 off. Now I'm not saying he did it on purpose, but if more than one trophy started popping on my list that I knew I hadn't met the requirements for my machine would be straight off.
