I'm guessing it's just a Experimental horror experience game?

Edit: Well after lots of flooding with the headlines holding the same title, it's official that

http://gamingeverything.com/p-t-is-actually-a-new-silent-hill-from-hideo-kojima-and-guillermo-del-toro/

SilentHill610.jpg

Earlier today, Sony revealed something called “P.T.” at its Gamescom 2014 media briefing. It was accompanied by a demo, which ultimately reveals the game to be a new Silent Hill.

In the video below, skip 1 hour and 16 minutes in. You’ll soon see a few noticeable names pop up on screen. Hideo Kojima. Guillermo del Toro. Actor Norman Reedus, who looks to be the star of the game.

Indeed: these three notable figures appear to be working on what looks to be a brand new Silent Hill (“Silent Hills”) title. Hopefully we’ll hear more soon!

You don't need to play it lol , after just playing for 30 minutes

i can safely say it's probably the most terrifying and intriguing horror game iv'e played

i still haven't gotten over a few scares :(

while i'm not very good with horror games anyway , i still think the games extremely scary

i literally can't play the game , i want too because of the intrigue but i can't

i'm curious to see what other people think tho .

ummm AAA titles on PS4 are 20+ BF4 is 40+ %% is you have the DLC, same with COD. 1.3 GB depending on how the game looks can be small or about right.

I Am Aware of PS4 AAA Titles having to be larger then the 15gig mark due to Graphical enhancements compared to the PS3.

But it still depends if they plan to release the Full game being larger Sized then this demo or if this Demo is the actual game itself just Locked.

If this is the full game dressed as a Demo then the 1.3Gig Size is just right for it

Appearantly the demo is a teaser for the upcoming silent hill game!  :jaymon:  :jaymon:  :jaymon:  :jaymon:  :jaymon: http://ps4daily.com/2014/08/silent-hill-ps4-norman-reedus/

I just played it through, it's pretty scary and has some decent puzzles. (took me about 2.5 hours to finish it, including searching how to solve the puzzles)

Sorry I had no clue about this at all, still pretty confused over it to be honest.

  • 8 months later...

Got Lazy yesterday, but here's some important news:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-04-26-p-t-is-being-pulled-from-psn-on-wednesday

2yw7jly.jpg

P.T., the "playable teaser" to advertise the upcoming horror game Silent Hills, will be removed from PlayStation Network on Wednesday, 29th April.

On the game's official site it plainly stated: "The distribution period of 'P.T. (Playable Teaser)' on PlayStation Store will expire on Wednesday, April 29, 2015."

There's been a lot of speculation concerning the future of Silent Hills given the slew of rumours surrounding Hideo Kojima leaving Konami at the end of the year. Kojima was set to work on Silent Hills alongside Hellboy director Guillermo Del Toro and The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus.

Earlier this month Konami removed Kojima Productions' logo from all marketing related to P.T. and Silent Hills. Konami did the same earlier for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, but in that case both the publisher and Kojima released a statement clarifying that the Metal Gear creator would see the game through to its release. No such confirmation was given for Silent Hills.

Even if Silent Hills is cancelled, it's still a strange decision to remove P.T. While its closing cinematic is an advertisement for Silent Hills, it's also a great game in its own right.

We've requested comment from Konami on what's going on here. Perhaps P.T. will return with an edited ending, omitting the promise of a new Silent Hill title. Or, worryingly, it's possible P.T. will be gone for good. We'll update should we find out more.

As many have feared, The highly anticipated Silent Hill Collaboration between Kojima & Guillermo Del Toro has been cancelled.. and here's audio evidence coming from Guillermo Del Toro himself during a Q & A  @ the Castro Theater:

"I'm telling you right now officially!...It's not happening, and that breaks my greasy heart"

Here's a Tweet from Norman Reedus' Twitter:

Norman Reedus Confirms That Konami Has Canceled ‘Silent Hills’

http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/2015/04/konami-hideo-kojima-silent-hills-canceled/

Yeah this whole matter is getting confusing, and surprisingly enough Norman Reedus' Tweet is not all that useful.

He appears to be in the same boat as everyone(not sure about it), but he should just call Konami himself; since he has that luxury.

http://www.polygon.com/2015/5/5/8557807/pt-silent-hills-demo-pulled

So yesterday the Internet once again went in uproar due to Konami again taking another critical Blow @ the existence of this Silent Hill Project by now eliminating P.T from people's Library List yesterday:

This means that if you deleted your installed data from your PS4 yesterday:

pt-delete.0.jpg

then you just screwed yourself over, since it's no longer possible to download.

pt-download-failed-2.0.jpg

Yesterday Konami further initiated pulling P.T. from PSN, but it was being reported that users from Europe were still able to download said game from their respected Library.

Although people speculated that it was due to how Europe PSN's Updates happen on Wednesday in apposed to NA's Tuesday, so the Europe hit might happen sooner then later.

Honestly the first thing that hit my mind when this news broke yesterday was:

"Those Ebay/Amazon PS4s with P.T. installed are about to jump in even greater value, just when it was already running @ around $1,000"

There have been reports saying that Konami has once again landed another blow, by now making ebay remove auctions that were selling PS4s with P.T. installed.

http://kotaku.com/ebay-taking-down-auctions-selling-ps4s-with-p-t-1702917689

You cannot download P.T. anymore, and you can’t sell a PlayStation 4 pre-loaded with the horror game, either.

If you search for P.T. and PS4 on eBay right now, almost nothing comes up.

1242101437023944618.png

A few hours ago however,  you would've found a bunch of people hoping to capitalize on the game’s newfound scarcity; thanks to Konami’s decision to bring the game down from PSN.

Kotaku reader Kevin Schumacher listed his own bundle on eBay, but it was quickly taken down; and the company sent him an explanation regarding why it couldn’t be sold on eBay:

1242101437088348586.png

When Schumacher got in touch with me, there were still a bunch of listings on eBay. Now there are none, and it looks like the company is continuing clamping down on any such listings.

This isn’t particularly shocking, as eBay once took down auctions for iPhones with copies of Flappy Bird too.

Weirdly, the policy eBay cites isn’t listed in their support document for selling a game console:

"Most new video game consoles, that support online gameplay, will save your personal information used for logging into those networks. Before selling your video game console, it is highly recommended to go into the settings area, and reset the console back to factory default settings."

There is a big difference between “highly recommended” and “required.”

I spoke to an eBay customer service representative on the phone earlier today, and while one of them expressed confusion at the discrepancy between eBay’s stated policy and the one that’s getting these auctions taken down; a specialist said this is precisely in line with eBay’s rules.

It’s possible some people might be able to sell a PS4 with P.T. without eBay catching on, but that might only last briefly. Right now, everyone’s paying attention; and eBay is too.

You can reach the author of this post at [email protected] or on Twitter at @patrickklepek.

I checked ebay a while ago, and was able to see some auctions open for the PS4/w P.T. installed...so idk if it's just due to them being open just now(few min ago), but honestly I do remember there being a ton of auctions open yesterday(Like 19).

Konami is quickly getting on my very bad side. I mean, first they announce that MGS5 will not be one game (and will also lack a platinum trophy), then they kick Kojima off their staff and wipe him from everything related to Konami, and now this. Seriously, just because Silent Hills is cancelled why should we be affected by their horrible business model? Leave the gamers out of your bullshit Konami!!!!!
